My first card, Made with Stampin' Up's doily stamp, is one I made for Operation Write home,My boat card, is a "quick" Card I made for my husband for our anniversary this week. The Stamp I used is from Stampin' Up. I purchased both stamps ages ago, and I finally managed to get them inked up this week.
Last Saturday, I attended a card making party, with several of my friends, It turned out to be a wonderful day, and I hope we get the opportunity to do it again...Nancy, who got the event together with some of her friends did a fabulous job. Thank you Nancy for allowing us to come. I traveled up to the event with my Thursday night stamping buddies, Cherie, and Kathi.
You can read more about the day by looking at Nancy's blog
I took my camera but I only took one pic that day...and Nancy gave me permission to post the pic.

These are just a few of the card kits that they had there for us to put together, the cards were so beautifully done. They had hoped to reach their goal of getting ready 500+ cards to send to Operation Write Home, and they not only managed to reach their goal, they went a bit over, with a total of 755 cards. My day was made even better by seeing, Carol, Mary Anne, and Kathy, also at the event.
Lovely cards Jill - the doily one in particular appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteSounds as though you had a wonderful day :-)

Both cards are beautiful Jill. I love that doily, and the sailboat one is so nice. I love the DP that looks like clouds in the background.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you and your husband!

ReplyDeleteHi Jill, thanks for all your kinds words about the OWH card making party. I can't tell you how thrilled we all were that your group came to help. It really meant a lot and the heroes will be forever grateful! It's taking me a while to "stalk" everyone's blogs, but I'm getting there. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice time getting together to do cards. That's one thing I don't have where I live. Ladies that get together to do cards. I'm the only one around that I know that does this? None of the ladies at our church do it either that I know of?
