One of my new year resolutions was....that I would post more on my blog...

Here it is 12 days into the New Year and this is my first post...
Hopefully, I will  do better as the year goes on...

As I have said in a previous post I love to read.  (I'm addicted to reading)  and now I'm addicted to making cards using this fold.

My paper is from Graphic 45, (French Country)  I used a PSX stamp  (Yes, an oldie, but still a favorite of mine)  the  bird house die is from Impression Obsession.

An Oldie but Goodie...

I bought this stamp a long time ago...why?  I don't even know.  I wasn't even really stamping back when I bought this stamp.  But I'm sure it was because I like this image, and my Mother used to collect Victorian dolls,  so I probably purchased it with her in mind.

Besides the PSX stamp that I used, I also used A spellbinder die for the frame.  (Decorative Labels Eight) and my frame around my image is from Creative imaginations.  Added a bow (made with bow easy) and popped my image up on dimensionals.  My husband colored my image for me with copics.
The dress looked red in the picture above but it's more like a deep Pink/mauve.

Twisted Sister Challenge at Split Coast stampers

I made this card for this week's Twisted Sister Challenge at Split Coast...Sylvia wanted us to make a card using Water Coloring.  I cheated...I used another image that was colored by my husband.  He colored this image with copics.

Y28, G94, E25, T7, R27, R39, C5 B05, B17, Yr12, E30, C3, T5

The image is SweetNSassy (Birds & Roses)

My sentiment was stamped with a stamp from PSX

I heat embossed my sentiment with embossing powder

I added a cuttlebugged embossed background  (Birds and Swirls)

Added ribbon and Stampin' Up paper for my background paper

Another card to mail to my grandson who is in his second year of college...(Yes, I am old---that makes me feel old anyway.  smile...)  Where is that little boy I held in my arms?  seems just like yesterday...

My card was made using a 3d sheet from Penny, (and as usual I forgot to look up the link before I posted this card...I'll try to find her site and insert it later).  The Pennant in the corner of the card was made by a rubber stamp made by Stampin' Up.  Pennant Parade, I also used the matching punch to punch it out.  The inside of my card was rubber stamped with a stamp by PSX.  stamped with Memento ink. and I added a sticker.
