I had a long time friend visit me last week, and she showed me a picture of a memory board that she put up in her house. I can't visit her, because she has "cats" I really do like cats, but my allergies don't...smile. So she took this picture to show how she displays the cards I send to her. Wow! I was quite surprised. I didn't realize that she did that. I like her memory board idea, and told her I might case her and do a memory board for my craft room when I get it done, If I ever get it done...LOL. The work seems endless right now.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, Blessings to you...Jill

My sister's birthday...
I made this card for my sister's birthday (she's actually my step-sister but I think of her more as a sister) She's celebrating a mile stone birthday, but this card looks more like it should be going to a child ...smile. Hope she doesn't think so. You probably already guessed that she loved cats, and has one herself.
My side step card was made with a stamped image (I borrowed the stamp so Not sure of the name of the stamp). My husband colored it with copics, I cuttlebugged the side panels with coordination's paper. I added brads for the paws, and a pearl Gem for the top of the birthday hat. (couldn't find my pom poms...and I wanted to add white flower soft for the paws...(couldn't find that either) I honestly knew where these items were before I packed up my craft room. The sentiment is computer generated and my heart is a spellbinder die cut.
It's started anyway...In this pic only one window is in, but both windows are in now.
Tonight and tomorrow I am going to paint, and if I get the painting done...They will put the floor down on Friday. (Oh, I hope I can get it done. I need my room.
Hope everyone is having a good day...Blessings, Jill

I had a good day today...
This is the inside of a beautiful card I received from Sabrina....What a pleasant surprise...So Unexpected. The card came all the way from Ireland. I really like this technique. It was on my "to do" list, and now after seeing Sabrina's beautiful card, I know I want to give it a try. thank you so much Sabrina...
The above photo is the front of Sabrina's card...Really like how she did this flower.
Sabrina's beautiful Gallery of cards can be seen at Split Coast stampers...
This "morning Glory card my husband colored the image for me with copics. the image came
from Sweet and Sassy Stamps. I put the image on a Cuttlebugged embossing folder for the background (Textile folder) the sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy Stamps, and I added pearls, brads, and ribbon...
I had a nice day today, first getting Sabrina's beautiful card in the mail, and then my hubby took me shopping. I bought a new dress (first one in ten years---maybe I shouldn't admit to that...LOL) then i went and had my ears re pierced. I had my ears pierced so many years ago, and have not worn earrings for quite a while now, and when I would try to get some in my ears, I always struggled, so I thought maybe I should go and have them redone. Way back, in the dark ages, when I had them done, they didn't have a gun to put in the earrings like they do now. Pretty neat, but it still HURTS! Can you tell that I am a big chicken?
Tomorrow, Tomorrow, They're coming Tomorrow! (sing in the tune of the song from Annie...LOL)
My contractor's are coming Tomorrow. My craft room will finally start to get done. Lots of work ahead for me...more packing, moving furniture, painting, etc. then putting everything back together again, But it should be fun this time...to have a newer looking room. (and hopefully, more organized...I'm having more shelving put in).
Hope everyone is having a great week...
Blessings,
Jill

He has made Everything Beautiful
He has made Everything Beautiful in its time. Ecc. 3:11
I really like Thomas Kinkade images, so I was really saddened to hear of his passing. This card is being posted in Tribute to his great work.

The image is a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, the background paper is Thomas Kinkade from Memory Box, The Scripture Verse, (My favorite) is a rubber stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs, The Die cut vine is a Cheery Lynn Die that I purchased from Our Daily Bread, The bottom edge is punched with a EK success punch, my Ink is Memento Sweet Plum.

I'm still waiting...
I'm still waiting for the contractor to come and do work in my craft room.
I was hoping that by now, I would have new windows...the OLD original windows are not very energy efficient. And I would have the ceiling fixed (water damage) and a new floor, and finally a new fresh coat of paint (done by me). But my room is just sitting, mostly empty waiting. I thought I would go ahead and post the BEFORE pics, and I hope in at least (No more than a week from now)...I will have AFTER pics to post....One can hope anyway.
Today was a blast. I went to a Stamp show (Do I need to go to a stamp show? No...
but I had so much fun. I literally shopped till I almost dropped. I am so tired!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend...
Blessings, Jill

So Sweet
This card is for the "So Sweet" challenge at House Mouse this week. The Challenge can be found here
This week the challenge is to make a card with something "Sweet" on it. I chose to use Hot Cocoa for my sweet, It's something I indulge in quite often...but I'm not supposed to, so please don't tell my Doctor...smile.
My House Mouse image was colored with copics, again by my husband. He used E25,C3, W1, C5, G99, W00, E07, E19, E0000, RV00, T2.
I used a Cheery Lynn die for my background frame (Lattice 2 die) I colored in the squares with copics, popped my image up with pop dots, and added a Jolee spoon in the corner (and the spoon is silver not black. Some day I will learn how to adjust the colors. I hope so anyway...smile.
Hope everyone is having a good day...Blessings to you, Jill
PS. In case you missed it, Yesterday, I had a wonderful surprise when I logged onto the House Mouse Web site. I won the last Challenge. I was stunned! (ask my husband, how excited I was...LOL) Along with my prize, I have the opportunity to be a Guest Designer. WOW! What an Honor! I'm a bit nervous. I have trouble thinking outside the box.
And right now, it's still more of a challenge these days to make cards, because I still don't have my
craft room back. I'm still digging through packed up boxes for my supplies.

Stamp Night...March
This is one of the cards we made in March on Stamp night. I may not have time to post again till after Easter...so I thought I should post this now...Our great Stampin' Up Demo, gave us all the supplies and idea for this card...Thank you, Stacie.
I talked to our contractor today, and he promised me that he will be coming next week to do my craft room...YEA! I will get my craft room back. It has probably taken me longer to pack up my craft room, then it takes some people to pack up their whole house when they move. LOL. I promise to take photos...

House Mouse Challenge HMFMC116
This card was truly a challenge for me, because in order to make it, I had to unpack many boxes. I have most of my craft room packed up, and in order to do this card... I had to go searching through many of the boxes to try and find some supplies to do a card. Wow! Do I ever miss having my craft room! Even if it was always an unorganized mess, it was still easier to find supplies than this was...LOL! Hopefully, my contractor who has been promising me, for a while now, will be here soon to fix my my damaged ceiling in my craft room, and put down my new floor.
My husband and I went to my favorite craft store on Saturday (my second time this week that I was able to go there! Yea! While we were there, he found this House Mouse stamp, and came home and colored it right away. How could I not try and do a card for the challenge with it? smile. I think House Mouse stamps are his favorite to color.
The copic colors he used are E35, V12, BV23, R00, R85, C0, C00, E40, E43, Woo, B00, R002
I paper pieced the hats, used a cuttlebug folder to emboss part of the background.
I used October Afternoon for my designer paper, added pop dots, and a sticker, and string bow.
