ATC cards

My husband colored the above ATC cards for me...(with copics)
I added the stickles to the wings...

On Friday, hubby went along with me to the Heirloom Craft  Show.
I believe this is the 4th year that he went to the show with me.

Every year that we have gone....There has been at least one woman in the crowd
that walks over to him and tells him  "You are a very brave man!"
Obviously, there aren't too many men at the shows.
But he tells me that he enjoys going...  I hope that is true...
and yes, he usually shops himself.

He made me the above cards so I would have some cards to swap at the ATC swap

I promised myself that I would NOT buy any more rubber stamps!!!
I still have a lot that have never touched ink!

You may already know what I'm going to say...
I broke the promise to myself...
and came home with 4 new rubber stamp sets.

My first ATC card

1.  My first ATC card...(of course it had to have ribbons on it...

Tonight was my stamping night with my buddies.  Kathi had given us a challenge a few week's ago to make an ATC card.  I have long admired these little works of art, but was unsure of how to go about making one.  I was told "Just go for it!"  Anything goes!  smile...

So, as I said above...mine would have to have ribbons on it somehow to match my blog...Obviously, I just glued some ribbon scraps on it...with a quote that I thought really matched my ribbon card...

Kathi's card is the one in the Middle.  Since she is Irish, she went with an Irish theme...I really liked how she put a tab in the middle to pull out.   which has the Irish Blessing on it.

Cherie's pretty card with the dragon fly...is so Cherie...and I guess it goes without saying ...she likes dragonflies...

Now that I have broken the ice and finally made one, I want to try and do more, they are really fun to exchange.

A few days ago, I was given the Liebster Award...I had no idea what this meant so I had to look this up...and this is what I found.

 The Liebster blog award, ties back to the German word Liebster which means dearest or beloved. The blogger who gives the award associates the nominated site with these qualities.

I always have mixed feelings about these awards...I always feel honored when I receive one,

but I am reluctant to pass them on...because I know some people prefer to have award free blogs, and

prefer not to receive them...Plus with these awards I have to select some of my favorite blogs...well, I have so many favorites...and I would Not want to hurt anyone's feelings if I would not select them...

So what I prefer to do is just acknowledge those who nominated me...because it is an honor...

and give them a "shout  out" as a thank you...

These two blogs are fairly new to me...

but I have enjoyed my visits to both blogs...
