Made with inspiration from my magazine
More cards for my Stash! Again I used some ideas from my Magazine "Cardmaking and Papercrafts" The background paper came from a pack of paper that came with the magazine. On some of the cards I used stickers made by KaiserCraft! The snowman was made using a 3D sheet, and I also used some spellbinder dies and embossing folders!

Going Down memory lane
I made this card using a template that was in the magazine I am using for my craft inspiration right now.
"Cardmaking and Papercrafts Magazine" (May 2013)
After I Photocopied and cut out the template..I colored the image with copics.
Remember I'm a grandmother so I am old enough to have used one of these on my jobs...smile.
I also still have one...(Don't use it anymore) It was a gift from my father so I have a difficult time letting go of it. I'm sure If some young people would look at my blog...they may not even know what this is...
I am fortunate to be able to get together with a small group of friends to craft. The one crafter in the group is in her Twenties, Last week she watched me make this card, and I asked her if she ever used a typewriter? She surprised me by telling me, "Yes!" and quite often because she still uses one in her job. (she is a Librarian). She likes to use it to make her labels. It surprised me to know that people do still use these.

Another card for my Stash
I'm still working on trying to get together some cards for my stash...
To accomplish that...I again pulled out one of my purchased magazines to use for inspiration. This card was inspired using "Cardmaking and Papercrafts magazine from May 2013.
They had a section on using White embossing powder or Kraft card stock. I love the look of white embossing on Kraft card stock, but I always struggle making a card using this technique. I finally made a card that I would actually send. The others ended up in the trash...smile.
I used rubber stamps from Penny Black, my Sentiment is also from Penny Black, and my Kraft card stock is from Stampin' Up.

Christmas Wreath
The above card was supposed to be for this week's Merry Monday challenge.
but.... I did not get it done on time. I must be honest and tell you that it did not turn out the way I hoped it would. So I dragged my feet trying to get it done and posted. I missed the end of the challenge by just a few minutes. I cut out the holly leaves from fabric. I used double sided sticky paper to keep the fabric from fraying. I thought the problem with this card would be all the fussy cutting, but the problem was trying to make a suitable arrangement of the leaves...
*****************************************************
On a happy note...for me anyway.
I was thrilled to see that both of my Twofer cards that I posted at Darnell's challenge...
Made the "Favorites" thread at Split Coast stampers when I posted the cards there.
The heart card on the left was in the CAS favorites thread...
It's very rare that I can make a (Clean and Simple) card. Most of my cards have layers!
smile. I have made many cards that have had up to ten layers.

Twofer Challenge Hearts
The above card is the one I am entering into Darnell's Twofer Card Challenge...
You can find the link to the challenge here
https://twofercardchallenge.blogspot.com/
This Month's card challenge theme is "Hearts'
I hope my card counts because I used two different stamps to make my cards
but I did use BOTH stamps on both of my cards.
For my first card I used my Rubber stamp tapestry card to make a heart wreath...
except when I had done (after two tries)...my wreath did not look much like a heart. smile
So, I cut out the wreath with a heart die by Daris. I added a small heart die in the center of my wreath using a stamp from SweetNSassy stamps.
For my second card I again used my rubber stamp tapestry stamps to make a vine hedge behind my park bench die (By Impression Obession rubber stamps) I added two pillows on the bench stamped with my Sweet and Sassy heart die. My sentiments are from SweetNSassy.
Thank you again, Darnell for this great challenge!
And thank you all for visiting my blog today

Jill

Card for my Hubby
Above is the card I gave to my Hubby today. I made the card at a craft shop which is located about an hour or so from our house. The card was actually made using a sample card that the shop owner had put together. I brought the card home...Put it away...and then couldn't find it for at least eleven months! Fortunately, I found it in time for this Valentine's day. Smile.
I used a plastic stencil (made by Echo Park) I sponged the stencil using Dylusions Paint by Ranger.

Cards for my Stash
My Sister-in-law hinted around that she would like some more of my cards. I try to send her a bunch of cards every now and then. When I went to look to see what I had on hand...I was surprised to see that my extra stash of cards was very low. I have been making cards, but they're usually for a special occasion that I need a card for, and they don't end up in my stash.
So making the above cards was my project for the week. The first card I used a stamp from SweetNSassy stamps. I paper pieced the image.
The rest of the cards I made using paper and ideas from a magazine that I had. Some of the cards were directly cased from the kit. Others I put my own spin on. They were all made so I could send cards to my sister-in-law. I forgot to write down the name of the magazine. I already gave it away.

Lego pop and Twist Card
I made the above card for my sister-in-law who loves to play with Lego's. She and her eleven year old grandson have contests to see who can come up with the most unique building, etc.
I thought her fascination with Legos... was strange until I mentioned it to my hair dresser and she said "What is so strange about that?" She then showed me her Lego collection! (My sister-in-law also made me a Ornament for our Christmas tree this year made out of Legos)
I then went to Pinterest to look up Legos, and realized that I must not be up with the times. (what else is new?) smile... I didn't even know that there had been a Lego movie.
Anyway here is another Pop and Twist card....

Cuttlebug Hunkydory Card
I made this card using Coredinations paper for the background. I ran it though my Cuttlebug, using an embossing folder (textile) and sanded it to bring out the blue underneath. I added lace, and My Hunkydory Stickers.
