Another Twisted Sister card

Everyone else is posting Christmas cards on their blogs...(except me)  I'm still in the process of making my Christmas cards.  I'm afraid that my cards may not be received till after
Christmas.  I'm thinking that maybe I should start making some New Year card instead...(smile)

I made the above card for a friend using using an old 3-D sheet that I had.  I fussy cut the flowers.  I used a Pink Fresh Cover plate die for my back ground (Floral tiles) And a Stampin' Up Rectangle stitched Die to make my black frame.

Anniversary card

This is an Anniversary card I made for friends of mine.
The front of the card was made using a die that came with my new Gemini machine.  I was surprised at how well this intricate die cut in my new machine.  If I used my old machine I would have to run it through many times.
The inside of the card was made using a stamp from Stampendous.  My husband colored the flowers for me.  I cut the flowers out with the matching die, and used Glossy accents on the vase.  I ran (what I guess is supposed to be a doily on the bottom of the vase) Through an embossing folder.
I added a verse to the inside of the card.  It turned out so nice with the verse but I forgot to take a pic of it before I put the card in the mail.

Anniversary card

This is a card I made for my daughter and son in laws wedding Anniversary.

The stamped images came from a magazine but I'm not sure which one.

I added some ribbon to the bottom of the card.  (The ribbon was in a gift box of card supplies she gave me for Christmas).

And I used a very OLD Martha Stewart Punch for the trim on the bottom of the card.  I can't remember the last time I used that punch!

Question, Are other bloggers still having a problem with the Spam box issue.

When I log on to look at my comments there's usually nothing there...and then I go look in my spam box...and that's where ALL of the comments are.

I'm just happy that I remember to look there.

Hope you are having a good week.

and thank you for visiting my blog today.

Anniversary card

Okay this is going to sound strange.  My hubby colored this image for me with copics.

I then made it into a card...

which I gave back to him today for our wedding Anniversary.  I didn't have time to make another card and I thought he might appeciate getting it back.

We didn't go anywhere special...  (we would almost always go out for a meal on our Anniversary...)

but with the way things are right now... We decided to just stay home.  It was a quiet day...but we enjoyed

The peace and quiet.

Anniversary Cards...

Jim and I celebrated our anniversary this past Monday...

(This year was one of the first years that we didn't go out to dinner on our anniversary... Hopefully, next year we will have open restuarants again.)

These were two of the beautiful cards that we received.

The first card...the parchment card...we received from our dear friend Em.
Em does all these fabulous parchment cards.  They amaze me, I have tried to do parchment a couple of times and, so far, I have not been successful with doing one.  The link to Em's fabulous blog with more of her beautiful parchment cards can be found on my side bar.

The Second Home made card came from another dear friend, Carole,  Carole had been my very first co-worker  (that was a few years ago)  I had been telling friends for years that Carol and I met on our first job when we were 17 years of age.  Then one day my friend came into my house with a photo of us in a group picture when we were both 12 years old.  I didn't even know the picture exisited.

Carole does not have a blog.  (but I'm so happy she recently joined Facebook.  YES!)

My daughter's Anniversary card

My daughter's Anniversary is this week, and this is the card that I made for her
I didn't give it to her yet...but  she rarely looks at my blog, so I double very much she would see it before I give it to her...
It was made using Stampin' Up's Embrace Each Moment's stamp.  I wish I had been patient enough to wait till my hubby had time to color this stamp, I think he would have done a much better job of coloring this with copics... (he's the expert in the family... smile

This isn't the greatest picture taken of the happy couple on their wedding day, but it was quickest one I could find.  It was photographed from a scrapbook page, so It didn't photograph too well.
My daughter made her wedding dress.

Anniversary cards

Now that I know that the Anniversary cards that I mailed out were received.  I can post them.

As usual my cards went out late.  No matter how hard I try to keep up with birthday's Anniversary cards, etc.  I seem to always be late.  At least all my Christmas cards arrived before Christmas this year.  (That was a big accomplishment for me!)

I had three Anniversary cards I needed to send out the end of  December.  I totally forgot.!  I guess I was too busy making Christmas cards.

Both cards were made using a stamp set that came with the Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine #194.  My pink swan card pretty much followed the example of the card that they displayed in
the magazine.  I usually try not to copy cards exactly, but I liked the design so much, and as I said before I don't SELL my cards so I try not to worry too much about that.

I used copics where I needed to color, and added dimensionals to pop up the swan images.

I made the above card for my crafting buddy, Kathi and her hubby John.  They are celabrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary this week.

I used a die made by Impression Obsession to make by card.  I added the dots on the flowers using a white gel pen, and  added a peel off sticker.

Anniversary card for my neighbor

Sorry that I have not been posting much lately.  I haven't made too many cards in the last month or so.  I made about four other cards besides the one I'm posting here, but I put them in the mail before I realized that I had never taken a picture of them.

The above card was made for my neighbors.  The card was made to honor their sixth wedding Anniversary.  I often see them walking around the neighbor together.  Sometimes even in a light rain, or a warm summer day you will see them walking under a sun reflective umbrella.  I thought that using this Stampin' Up stamp would fit them perfectly.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today...

Jill

Anniversary card for a friend

Anniversary card made for a friend...   Because of all the cold, snowy, weather that we have been having lately,  I was trying to make a spring card.    I wanted my "Love Birds" to look like robins, but I think I failed, but my friend seemed to like this card.
I colored the SweetnSassy Love birds stamp with copics.
added a lacy die around my image made by Die-namics.
I added a ribbon and stamped my sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

Anniversary card

I made this card for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law for their Anniversary.

My hubby colored the image for me.  He was going to give me the copic list...
however, he used 27 copic colors to color this!  It would have been a long list!

The image was stamped using a stamp from Penny Black  (Jack and Ginger)
Hope my in laws like this card...(They are younger than we are  LOL)

I also used some Graphic 45 designer paper for the background, a SweetNSassy stamp
for the sentiment!

Anniversary card

I made the above card for a neighbor of mine celebrating her Anniversary this week.  (She's also one of my crafting buddies)

I made my card after seeing this pin on Pinterest

I tried to change several things on my card...so it wouldn't be a direct copy...
I definitely like the way she did her card better than mine...
But I know the copy and case rule is to change several things????
(I used different designer paper...changed the background somewhat, and used a white card base instead of blue and it's for a different occasion.)

I thought Jennette Olen's card was really special
and I wanted to make a special card for my neighbor...
First of all because she is really a special person...
And second, I feel a bit intimidated by her because she has
a degree in ART!!!   smile.

Anniversary card

The first card was made using a template I found in Cardmaking & Papercrafts magazine  Issue 166.

I cut out the template using a small scissors.  It would of looked so much nicer if I would have used an Exacto Knife!  (But I am a coward...after cutting myself very badly using one...I'm afraid to try again using one)
My heart was cut out using paper from Graphic 45, and embellished with flowers from KaiserCraft!

My second card was made using embellishments from Kaisercraft.  It was my "poor" try at a college card!  I think I need more practice.  My background paper was from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I missed Darnell's boo boo challenge

I made yet another Anniversary card, but this one isn't for a 50th Anniversary.

***************************************************************

I so wanted to post on Darnell's boo boo challenge...(You can find the link here)

http://www.djkardkreations.com/2016/03/lets-play-boo-boo-on-april-fools-day.html

The comments are so funny.  The problem is...I could relate to too many of the posts.
I have glued my card fronts upside down, I have glued them opening from the left instead of on the right.  I have accidentally smudged my cards with ink from my hands.  I have tried water coloring on paper NOT meant for water coloring (it did NOT work)  I have spilled water on my cards, etc.

Most of the time those cards end up in the trash can,    Unless I can manage to savage at least parts of the card.

One of my favorite products to use is Undu  (doing a disclaimer here, I don't sell or profit from this product in any way.  I just make enough mistakes that I need it, and it does work.

Someone had comments on one of the boo boo blogs that they just heat up the glue on the card again, using a heat gun, and the card will come apart.  I have never thought to try that.  Next time I have to try that first.

Jill

Anniversary cards to celebrate Fifty Years

The above cards did not photograph well, due to the gold foil paper.

I was asked to make an Anniversary card, so I made all the above, so there would be choices.  Hopefully, there is at least one card here that will be liked.

Card #1 was made using an embossing folder by Stampin' Up.  I heat embossed the design, and cut the numbers using a die by SweetNSassy Stamps.

Card #2...The background was cut out using a Spellbinder die, and a computer generated sentiment found on Pinterest.  added ribbon, stick on pearls and flower, and some peel offs.

Card #3...The background was cut out using a spellbinder die, A picture from Crafty Secrets, brads, and hearts cut out using a SweetNSassy die.

Card #4...The embossed background was made using an Anna Griffin embossing folder, A Spellbinder die for the bottom edge.  The birds were cut out using a Stampin' Up punch, added ribbon, peel offs and Martha Stewart butterfly.

Edited to add which card was chosen ( the last card, the one with the birds)

Anniversary Card

I made the above card for my daughter and son-in-law for their Anniversary.  I found some of the inspiration for my card from a card on Pinterest.  I used the stamping up Owl punch.  and dry embossed the background with a Cuttlebug folder.  The sentiment was cut out out of some designer paper from American crafts.

"Love is just a word until someone
comes along and gives it meaning."
