Card for F4A62, Free for All Challenge at Split Coast

This is my card that I entered into the Free for All Challenge at Split Coast Stampers. You were to use LOTS of LAYERS on your card! I usually use lots of layers on my cards. So that was not a difficult challenge for me. It's much harder for me to do a CAS card (Clean and simple)

My card was made me with a stamp that was loaned to me by Kathi...Thank you Kathi.

The stamp is from Stampington

the designer paper is from Stampin' Up

I used a matching ribbon using my Bow Easy

and added pop ups, and peel offs.

Birthday card from Kris

I'm a very fortunate lady to have received all these beautiful cards this week,

and I have more to post...today's card came from Kris...who is on the Yahoo group I belong to...Card Camp. It was a real surprise...thank you Kris. When I first looked at the card, I got a bit scared. The post man had to deliver my card in the pouring down rain, and my card envelope was wet, and so was some of the card. Fortunately, the card dried and is still just lovely.

Card from Carol

Carol from this blog, gave me this beautiful card this past weekend...What a beautiful card! My photograph does NOT do it justice. Carol said she took a picture of it before she gave it to me, and she will be posting it on her blog later. I'm sure she will have a much better photo of this card! A photographer, I am NOT! Her card is made with the lattice technique which I believe can be found at Split coast stampers. The rose she embossed with Gold embossing. It is such fine detailed beautifully done embossing, I must find out how she did that! She punched out her beautiful vellum leaves, and did some detail work with a gold pen...Just lovely. Thank you so much, Carol. I had the pleasure of attending a Copic class with Carol this past Saturday, what a fun day.

Card I received from Sabrina

This is the card I recently found in my mailbox from Sabrina...You can see more of Sabrina's fabulous cards here This card was mailed to me all the way from Ireland! It's the first time that I have ever received mail from Ireland! Long way to come to my mailbox. Wish you could see her card in real life. The flower is glossy, (maybe she used glossy accents on it) and there's pretty micro beads for the center of the flower. Sabrina is a friend from the Splitcoast Forum.

Card I received from Stacie

This is the card I received recently from Stacie. Stacie is my Stampin' Up Demo. She makes the prettiest cards. Of course, when I saw the bird image she used for this card...I had to order this stamp...smile. I didn't get it yet...but I'm looking forward to using it when it comes.

Card sent to me from a Friend...

Sorry, I have not been visiting my blog lately, so I have a lot to catch up on...

In the meantime....I have been a very fortunate lady getting some lovely cards in the mail, so for now, I'm going to post those till I find time to make some of my own...

Card sent to me by a Split coast member LonleyMomma.... Ashley. My favorite color is Pink, so you know I liked this card with this sweet bear Image.

Bluebird WT319

This is for a Splitcoast Ways to use it challenge. WT319. You were to use an oval on your card. I like the easy challenges those I can do...smile. I stamped another Martha Stewart bird, and Yes, My husband colored this one with copics too. This one was difficult for me to post, because it was one of my Mother's favorite. I think of her every time I look at this card.

The design paper is from Stampin Up, and I cut the oval frame with a Spellbinder's die...

Punch Art Bunny

I saw this card posted at split coast, and thought it was adorable. I went onto her blog where she said she had the instuctions...

Great instructions! I made several of these bunnies, but I didn't have the same punches that she used, so I do like hers better. But I think my punches sort of worked...

for Mother Mark at Split Coast Stampers

I think I forgot to post this card to my blog...Just like I keep forgetting to put this card in the mail. I made this card for Cindy, aka as MotherMark at split Coast Stampers.
We Tea potters are sending cards to Cindy in celebration of her 5th anniversary at Split coast.
Cindy goes out of her way to help you when You need help (like I often do...smile) When my grandchildren did their community service project for school by sending cards to the soldiers, animal shelter, to ill children/adults, etc. Cindy offered to help me in any way that I needed to help the children with their project. (Getting verification as to their doing the project, and ideas, etc.) Cindy, obviously loves dots, her trademark as you can see on her blog, The link to her blog can be found here
With all the rain that we have been having lately, I thought I would have to borrow these boots...LOL. I guess I have to remember that April showers bring May flowers...smile.

More Tulips

The Tulips were colored with copics by my hubby. I used an ornare stencil to punch all those holes in my frame behind the tulips. I added a charm, pop dots, and ribbon. My background paper is from October afternoon

Bird House card

I posted all the birds earlier on my blog. I guess they need a birdhouse...smile... This image was again colored with copics by my husband. The fence is a Jolee sticker.

WT318, Split Coast challenge to use people on our cards

Believe it or not, I still have more bird cards to post, but I'm ready to post something other than a "bird" card....smile

This card is for the Ways to use it challenge at Split Coast Stampers...WT318

The card has another image on it that was colored by my Husband...

I think he did a nice job on this sweet image. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background, and added a ribbon, and a button.

Another Bird, Fieldfare

They're going to call me the bird lady after while...smile... I can't help that my husband is so crazy about birds... All the coloring that he has done for me is so appreciated. Just wish I could keep up with him. He can color the images faster than I make cards for them. I have to find some way to keep him busy. Retired husbands get bored....smile...

This bird was stamped with a Martha Stewart stamp

Colored by my husband with copics, I added ribbon and pop dots, and cut out the oval with a spellbinders Oval. I used Stampin' Up Designer paper for the background.

My husband used his bird book for inspiration in coloring these bird images.

I'm also going to show you a picture of the stamps he used...

Another Bird, TLC320, Technique Challenge at Split Coast

Blue Indigo... I made a bird card for the This week's Technique Challenge, at Split Coast. I just hope you aren't getting tired of looking at bird cards... (because there will be more) My husband is a big Bird fan, smile... With this card I tried the technique with using a border punch on a curve. Not too crazy about how this lacy oval turned out, but I still like the technique and I am going to try it again. I hope to remember to insert the link here later (obviously, I remembered that I didn't get the link after I started this post.. My card was stamped with a Martha Stewart stamp, (memento ink) cut out with a Spellbinder Oval die. Pop dots, and ribbon added. And Most importantly colored with Copics by my husband. My Designer paper is by Stampin' Up.

MMTPT141, Teapot Tuesday

This is the card I did for this week's teapot Tuesday. This week we were to do our cards in either a car or guitar theme. I used a digi from Leigh Grady to make my Tri Shutter card. Forgive the awful picture. It does not show all the panels of my card. After 6 tries of trying to take a photo. Well, besides realizing that I am not a photographer, I realized that this was a good a photo as I was going to get.

My digi image was colored by my hubby,(with copics) and I 3d's the image (tole) and attached to a tri shutter frame and used Stampin' Up designer paper. I also used pop-dots, and stickers for the name TOM.

Another Bird, Red Breasted Grosbeak

Another Bird Card, ...It's a Red Breasted Grosbeak. I'm amazed that my husband is getting all these birds out of a very Plain stamp...next time I will have to post a picture of the stamp. So you can really see how creative he is with his coloring of these bird images. Yes, Hubby again colored this one.

Rubber stamp from Martha Stewart, Designer paper from Stampin' Up, Oval scalloped done with spellbinders. I added pop-dots, and ribbon.

Bird, Gold Finch

Another Martha Stewart stamped bird, colored with copics by my husband. I used Stampin' Up designer paper for the background. The ovals were made with spellbinders, and I added ribbon and brads.

It's spring and this really reminds me of spring

Seeing the birds, is a wonderful spring time treat. My husband has so many bird feeder's out in our small yard. He keeps a list of how many different birds we have seen just in our back yard, and it's something like 28 different birds. Of course this bird is a robin...

He colored it for me with copics...It's a Martha Stewart stamp, and the designer paper is from Stamping Up.

Another card for Abby

At Split Coast Stampers Several of the Tuesday Teapotters group have been sending cards to Abby, a young Teenage girl with very difficult medical issues. We have been sending her cards to hopefully bring encouragement. Her birthday is this week, and her parents bought her a pug puppy for her birthday. I wanted to make a card with a pug puppy but could not find an image...but my hubby came through for me again, and found an adorable image that I used to make this card for Abby.

Please say prayers for Abby, Thank you.

Hope you have a good weekend, everyone...

Blog award

My friend Carol Who's blog can be found here Mentioned my name as one of the ones she wanted to pass this award onto...see this link Thank you, Carol In receiving this award I am to tell you 7 things about myself... Here it goes. 1. I am a procrastinator. One of the ways you would know that is very true...is that she posted this on March 16th and I am now just getting around to doing this....smile... 2. I find it hard to believe... ...that I even have a blog. I'm not that computer literate, and I thought that if I had a blog I wouldn't even know what to post...over 400 posts later....I guess I did find a few things...smile. 3. I am a romantic... Because I am a romantic...I love girlie things, soft pastel colors, things made with lace, roses, frills, enjoy listening to soft rock, and watching chick flicks. 4. I always wanted to be a teacher... I never achieved my goal...but I had the wonderful opportunity after I quit my last job to work in an after school day care for 9 months. That job helped me to fulfill part of my dream. I really loved working with the children. 5. I dream the most about... My trip to California that we took 4 years ago this week....Thanks to friends and family who helped make the trip possible by providing food and lodging. It was an almost perfect vacation. The only thing I did not like about the trip is the plane ride. It was only my second time on a plane and I did not like it any better than the first time I was on a plane. (I'm too claustrophobic) I hope to show some of those California pictures this week. 6. My Faith and family come first with me I am so blessed to have the husband, daughter/son-in-law and two grandchildren that I have. 7. I am very grateful for my friends. and I am also grateful that I had the opportunity to meet Carol through blogging, and Split Coast stampers. And that Carol helped me to have some wonderful stamping get together Like the one in the picture below... Carol, had this picture on her blog, and allowed me to post it here. Thank you Carol, so if anyone wants to know what I look like. I don't post too many pics of me on my blog. I am sitting in the first row, wearing the light peach top. If you read down this far... Hope I did not bore you too much. LOL

3d card

I made this 3d card a while ago, and I think I forgot to post it. Since it was made so long ago...not sure where I found the image. It's made with my favorite color combination pink and green, (and my favorite flower)
Okay forgive me for a adding a little bit romance here...but it occurred to me earlier that today's date is the day that my husband had asked me to marry him (a million years ago) Don't know,

(again) where I found this image...but when I saw it in with my saved images I had to post it.

MMTPT140, Teapot Tuesday with Chubby kitty

It's Tuesday, and yes, it's again Teapot Tuesday Time. It's time for another challenge at Split coast stampers...

This week my card will be mailed to Linda, who has medical issues, along with her husband...Hopefully my card will help to bring some cheer.

My card is made using a digi by Leigh Grady.

colored with copics, and a flower punched with a spirelli punch, border punch by ek success.ribbon and brads added.

Where I craft...

I was just on a blog...showing where they craft...well, here it is...this is where I do most of my crafting--At my dining room table. This was taken a little while ago, I can tell because I was using markers instead of my new copics...smile. (Oh, and Yes, this is a bit neater than when I usually craft. I usually use up the whole table...) You can see my TV remote off to the side...because I usually watch TV while I'm crafting. My score-pal is under whatever I am working on...I rarely craft without it.

Bargello Technique

I saw this technique at Split Coast, (Bargello) and had to give it a try. I think it's a lot easier than it looks. So I will definitely try again, but next time with some softer colors...smile...

I used October Afternoon for my Designer paper.

My lady stamp is from Inkadinkado.

I added ribbon and cut out my lady using a spellbinders die
