Birthday Card for my Brother in Law

I needed to make a card for this week's Twisted Sister Challenge at Split Coast Stampers...Issued by me this week.  I was stuck as to what I could make as a challenge then I thought about the Twisted Sisters Challenge and how the key words are TSC, and I thought why not the letters TSC...
So many options with that...Just use things on the card to represent TSC.

Mine are...

 T  Three Seagulls on my card...for Three of something...
 S  Seagulls,  Sand, Stickers...Stamped Sentiment
 C  Clouds, Chair, and California (The photograph of the Light house is one I took in California...)

Fairly easy card for me to make...Just using a photograph and Jolee stickers...(and I cased a card similar to one I had made before).

It seems like I'm always late anymore in sending off my cards...so I make a quick card, so I can finally send off a card on time...in fact, if I get this card off today or tomorrow, I will actually be early for a change.

"At birthday time, it's good to remember our friends and family.  Actually, it's good to remember anything!"

When I first posted this card...I wanted to add this link but I couldn't find where the previous card was that I made with this photo...As you can see...I cheated...and cased my own card...(I needed a quick card...so I could finally mail a birthday card ahead of time...instead of being late like I usually am...smile

I'm working on a card right now...that is only about half finished, and I had to walk away from it...
Can you tell that it is not going very well...Time to take a break...and maybe Day dream a bit instead!

This time of year, I always think back over my DREAM vacation.  My husband and I have done very little traveling through the years..  (There's this thing called budget...that has prevented us from taking too many vacations  smile).  However, I was fortunate enough to get to go on what I call my dream vacation back in 2007.  I live on the East Coast, and for me to get on a vacation to the West coast was something I thought I would never be able to do.  Thanks to family and friends who provided free lodging and some free meals, (and my Mother even paid for our plane fare as our Christmas gift)  We managed to get to California for a couple of weeks...Our longest vacation ever.  We were in Napa Valley, (My favorite)  near Pis-mo Beach, Solvang, and San Francisco.

I enjoyed almost everything about it, except the plane ride.  It was only my second time on a plane, and I hated it almost as much as my first trip on a plane.

I found Liz's blog while I was visiting the Dream team's blogs     Dreamweaver stencils

Liz posted a beautiful card she made using a Dream weaver stencil. The stencil reminded her of the wisteria at Filoli Gardens in California.  She immediately had me dreaming about my vacation in California, and visiting those beautiful gardens...I had to go and try to find  my pictures from the Gardens...

Another favorite place I visited was Muir woods, and the Napa Valley trail...

I hoped to post more photos...but, at the moment, I can't find where I saved those photos on my computer or the disc, I have them on.  (I told you I'm not too organized.  But I did find the discs that my SIL gave me of our vacation.  which has over 4000 photos on it...  I think it's going to take me some time to find the photos on those discs that I am looking for...LOL

so I am going to have post those another day...

Napa Valley trail... I think it was about a two mile walk and we did the trail every morning.

Anyway, It seems that you enjoyed looking at the other vacation pics I recently posted that were from a few years back. So I decided to post some more. I need to look at these too, since My vacation this summer will have to be in my daydreams. None planned in the immediate future. We did get to Virginia, a few weeks ago, but would you believe that I only took one picture?

Our Trip to California

One of the many vinyards that we visited. Not sure which one, just know it was in Napa Valley

This could be a different one in Napa Valley. I lost count as to how many we went to see while we were in California. LOTS...smile. I had NO idea that there were so many vineyards in California.

This was located in the Town of Sabastopol. We visited this shop while we were staying in the Napa Valley area. This was one of my most memorable days there. I loved this shop! Just wish we had something like this in my area. It was a resale shop (second hand shop) selling nothing but CRAFT supplies. It felt like heaven on earth, except for one thing. I didn't have much room in my suitcase, so I could NOT buy much...:-(

I was fascinated by this Purple house, and yes that's me taking a pic, So many of the photos my husband took of me, I'm holding a camera. So many of the pictures I took of him had him holding a camera. When I looked at these photos yesterday....I IMMEDIATELY STARTED A DIET!

Whenever I see the words "Wine Country" it makes me think of our vacation to California several years ago. It was the BEST vacation I have ever had. Truly a Dream Vacation. We visited Napa Valley, Carmel, San Luis Obispo Bay, and San Francisco.

The only thing that I did not like about the trip was flying. It was only my second time in a plane. I did NOT like it the first time, and the second time even less...smile.

However, there were no plane delays, no lost luggage, no problems with any of the four places we stayed in. An almost perfect vacation. I say almost perfect, because I did become ill on two of the days of the trip. But otherwise, the best vacation EVER!

I'm sharing a few of the pics from that vacation.. All together I think we took over a 1000 pictures.

Three years ago...(At this time in April) I was on vacation in California. It was only my second time on a plane, (which I did NOT care for at all) Other than the plane ride--(It did go rather smoothly...I'm just very claustrophobic)--- I really did enjoy myself, and to me, it was one of my "Dream vacations come true. We were quite fortunate that family and friends did provide a lot of the lodging and food...(or we would not have been able to go)

Didn't do a very good job with getting these pictures in order...but You get the idea...

since I have Not had time to make anything lately, I decided to share some pictures we took in California...Hope you like to look at Vacation pictures...I do!
