I made this card using the instructions I found here
It's called an Origami Diamond fold...
My designer paper is from Stampin' Up, and I cut out my frames with Spellbinder dies...
Classic Squares large, Big Scalloped Squares Large, and the Fleur De Lis Squares die.
I stopped buying too many embossing folders because I feel I pretty much have what I need...
However, I don't think I could EVER have too many Spellbinders dies...I seem to like them ALL!
I just added a prima flower and bow...
Thank you for all your good thoughts and prayers.
We are just fine, and we were quite fortunate to come through that scary storm okay.
Our lights kept flickering on and off, but we only lost power for a very short time.
That wind was so LOUD! I don't think I ever heard it that loud before...
I am praying for all those who weren't as fortunate as we were...So difficult to see it on TV.

Twisted Sisters Challenge
This is just a CAS card that I made for this week's Twisted Sisters Challenge at Split Coast Stampers...Lesley made an easy challenge this week. I usually make cards with lots of layers and don't make too many CAS cards (clean and simple) But this was a refreshing change for me. We were to make a one layer Christmas card with red or green on it.
My card was made using a stamp from Rubber Stampede, (Angel Chorus Collage ) I used versamark on my stamp, and then heat embossed the card with red glitter embossing powder.
I'm typing this while listening to the news...Hurricane Sandy has me worried (like lots of others right now) It's very rainy and windy out my window, but the worst is not here yet. We have this huge tree next to our house, and it worries us every time we have a storm. Two years ago we paid $$$$ to have the tree trimmed. It was difficult to write out that check...but, believe me, at the moment, I am so glad we did. Prayers for everyone in the path of this huge storm.
Blessings,
Jill

Card made for a friend
I made this card for a friend....to give to a friend...
She requested a bunny card...and gave special instructions for a personal sentiment
to put inside of the card to give to someone recovering from surgery...
More of the work went inside the card...but I don't have permission to share the inside
sentiment...so I'll just post the outside...
I think it turned out like a happy, cheerful card...and that's what I was going for...
My friend liked the card...and so did her friend...
which in turn makes me happy...
The bunny is an image from the net...found at a site with free coloring pages...I made
my own templates for the clothes...used a crimper...(Don't get that our much...LOL)
for the bottom of the sweater. and I colored the image with copics. The Designer paper
is from Stampin' Up.

More of My husband's coloring
I'm still trying to make cards with my husband's colored images...Here is another one he colored with copics...R24, C3,C00, E33, W3, E40,E08,G85, BG7, E37, YG17, G17, G07, E25, E35, BG0000.
Not sure of the name of the rubber stamp, but I used two additional stamps on my card...For my sentiment stamp, Stampendous N033 TLC Blessing. and My leaf stamp is from Stampin' Up Autumn Days...I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background (pebbles) and added a ribbon.
I made this card to case a card made by Shirley at Split Coast Stampers...she was named "Queen for a Day" two weeks ago...so my card is a bit late...this is the card she made that I cased...
Shirley's name at Split coast is "Wannabecre8tive" and her blog name is "My Pinkie is Inkie in Boxertown"

Fill each day with simple pleasures
This card was made with a Sugar Nellie digi (Nancy) my husband purchased the digi at Funky kits...He colored the image with copics E00,B00,E37,E33,E31,RV34,Rv66,RV55,T5,C0,E97,E000,C00.
I used Stampin' Up designer paper for the background, spellbinder labels Ten die to cut out my image. Added ribbon, brads and a prima flower
The bird bath was a digi from Squigglefly, my husband colored the image with copics. I thought he did such a beautiful job with all the coloring, that I decided to just make it into a note card and keep the card plain to show off his lovely work.
My last card was also a digi (Squigglefly) that my husband colored with copics for me. I made it into a quick card for my granddaughter (who is very fashion wise) (smile) Aren't most Seventeen year old girls into fashion?
My husband has a binder full of images he colored for me, I haven't counted them but I'm sure there are over 100 colored images in it. So I need to get busy and make some more cards with his beautifully colored images. I have a hard time keeping up with him...
Thank you for looking,
and I hope you have a very blessed day/weekend...

Birthday Card for Cam
It's raining today where I live, so it makes it more difficult to get a good pic... I also find it difficult to photograph white/ivory cards, so I tried photographing this cards two ways.
I needed a birthday card for a lady that was a very special friend to my Mother. She was her neighbor for 7 years, and is one of the sweetest and kindness ladies I have ever met. She was so good to my Mother, I don't remember the exact day of her birthday, but I remember it being around the middle of October, so my card is either early or late for her birthday. The way I do things, it's probably late. I still wanted to make sure I got a card in the mail for her, I can't even remember which number this is but I think it's 94. (she looks so much younger)
My card was made with a graphic printed from the Internet, I'm not exactly sure from where, because it was printed a while ago. I find most of these beautiful pictures at Magic Moonlight. If this exact image is not there...there are so many other beautiful ones to choose from.
I cut a frame out using one of my spellbinder dies, then stamped around the bottom with my rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps. I heat embossed the roses with pink embossing powder. then just outlined the front of my card by scoring with my scor-pal. I also added a prima flower.

SweetnSassy Bird...
This bird was stamped with a stamp from Sweet n Sassy Stamps. I actually colored this image by myself (usually my husband colors my images for me) I colored this in my copics class that I took with Korin of Sweet'nSassy stamps...it was a while ago...Which helps to explain why I am posting a spring card in the fall. But then again, I usually am late for most everything...I admit it...
I used some of my hoarded Stampin' Up Designer paper. It really is some of my favorite paper to work with, and I save every scrap I have. When I get to the end of one of my packs, I hate to part with even the little pieces...I think I have an addiction...smile.

Dream Weaver Fall Challenge
I made this card for this month's Dreamweaver Challenge, which can be found here
The Theme for the challenge is called "Festively Fall" I don't have any fall stencils, No pumpkins, leaves, etc. So I hope this counts...smile. I used fall colors for teacups and, of course, my fall leaves. My fall leaves were stamped with a stamp from the Stampin' Up Autumn Days set. I sponged my Dreamweaver stencil, with dye inks from Memento. I dry embossed some of card stock with an embossing folder from Stampin' Up (Lattice) folder. I added brads, pop dots, and ribbon.

Card for Teapot Tuesday
I made this card for a challenge at Split Coast Stampers...Tea Pot Tuesday, It's one of my very favorite challenges, but this is the first card I've been able to make in a while. This card will be going in the mail to a fellow split coast member who has cancer. I made the card using a House Mouse image that was colored by my husband, my background paper is from Stampin' Up and I used my Lattice folder on it. I added a flower made with one of my spellbinder dies, added a brad, pop dots, and a crocheted flower that was a gift from a friend.

(Obviously, that event did NOT happen) smile...but I did have a party of one...smile...ME. This is the card I made last evening. It was made with a Dream Weaver stencil (LL493) I used Dream Weaver Black matte embossing paste...following the tutorial in this link
I used designer paper by Provo-craft , and using a Stampin' Up embossing folder for the bottom half of my card...Lattice folder. Added ribbon, brads, pop-dots, and a sticker (Rak from my friends Cherie and Kat)

The Journey of a thousand miles..
Front of card
Inside of card
Another card to mail to my grandson who is in his second year of college...(Yes, I am old---that makes me feel old anyway. smile...) Where is that little boy I held in my arms? seems just like yesterday...
My card was made using a 3d sheet from Penny, (and as usual I forgot to look up the link before I posted this card...I'll try to find her site and insert it later). The Pennant in the corner of the card was made by a rubber stamp made by Stampin' Up. Pennant Parade, I also used the matching punch to punch it out. The inside of my card was rubber stamped with a stamp by PSX. stamped with Memento ink. and I added a sticker.
Hope everyone is having a good day.

Relax
I guess I really made this card for myself...smile. I have a personal issue that has me really upset right now. It's something that probably wouldn't stress other people like it does me....so for now I'll probably just keep this card on my desk for a reminder to myself...smile...
My card is made with a 3d tole image...I put it on a background that I embossed with a SU embossing folder. Lattice...(I know Carol, if you are reading this...it's one of your favorite folders...in fact, you were the enabler it's why I purchased it.
Hope everyone is having a good week...
Blessings,
Jill
