Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT148

I could have used this pool in my yard these last couple of days, hot and humid here already. smile...My card was made with a free digi from Leigh's blog

I did some fussy cutting of the image, and colored it with copics.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Happy Summer, Jill

Another Card made with the Bargello Technique

I really like this technique and again, I forgot to get the link for the technique before I logged onto my blog...but it can be found at split coast stampers in the resource section under Bargello.

I also used at Fiskars punch (I think it's called Sunburst) for the lace like trim.

My rubber stamp saying is from Stampendous.

Ink from Stampin' Up (Wild Wasabi)

Paper from various sources.

More Birthday cards

Okay, I know my birthday was week's ago...

but I still received wonderful cards and gifts weeks after my birthday.

I have to say this was one of the most special birthday's I have had in a long time.

Right before I went on vacation, a surprise came in the mail for me...

and it was this beautiful box of cards...

I thought Kathy's cards looked lovely on her blog...

but In real life they are even more beautifully done.

and Kathy, they are done in my favorite color! Wow!

The Link to Kathy's blog should be here

Kathy made her cards using the One sheet wonder, which I hope the link to her post for the one sheet wonder is here

I have never tried making cards using the one sheet wonder, but with Kathy's great instructions on her blog. (and now I have great samples right in front of me) I definitely want to try it.

I can't thank you enough Kathy for making my day!

Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT147

This is the card I made for this week's teapot challenge. My husband did the coloring of the image with copics.

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting much lately. I just came off a 5 day vacation in beautiful Virginia. Still trying to play catch up with everything. We're expecting company from out of state, trying to get ready for that, and in between we have a funeral to attend. Life does get busy sometimes. Hope all is well with my blogging friends.

Stove colored in Green

Side view of this card fold

Card flat

Stove colored in Burgundy

These cards are difficult to photograph, but I think they stand up just a bit better than they look in these photos...

Stove in Burgundy
Below is the brick paper that I used for the brick background, I printed out this sheet
and colored it with gray copics.. (or it can be colored with any markers)

Believe it or not, My husband, sat and drew each and every one of these bricks by hand one by one. He did a couple of other backgrounds for me so I could print them as I needed them and then color them what ever color I wanted. And then he very kindly said I may share the pattern with you. Hope it's of some use to you

If you click on the brick pattern above it should go to a full legal sheet size...

Just love this image...Had to make more cards with it

As You can see I really like this stove image, and My husband enjoys coloring it with copics.
I'm curious to see which color stove would be every one's favorite.

This stove is colored in a white/gray

How about a yellow stove?
In real life It looks bright but not quite a "neon" as this looks...smile

And this one is red

They were all colored with copics, I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the bottom panels...hoping it would look like wood flooring or wood bead board....

My card for Tuesday Teapot Challenge MMTPT145

This week we were supposed to have vegetables, or something from a garden on our cards.

Well, I don't have any vegetable stamps, so Instead I used an image that my husband colored for me. On the stove is a pot of VEGETABLE soup, and Zucchini bread off to the side. And of course, the teapot kettle has to be on the stove for the teapotters.

My husband colored six of these stoves for me, I hope to post the rest of the cards tomorrow. I think he did a great job on the coloring.

Happy Mother's day to all the Mothers...

To Live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die...Thomas Campbell...

Mother you will always live in my heart...Happy Mother's day...

This is an old card that I had made for my Mother
I spotted this pillow and it made me think of My Dear Mother-in-law, She made this pillow for my husband for his birthday. And yes, she was not only a very talented lady, she was also someone who had a lot of patience...smile. You would have to...to cross stitch this pillow all those red cross-stitches. I miss you too, Mom.

This is another old card that I had made for my Mother. The 3d image reminding me of a photograph I have of myself which looked very much like this one. My Mother was always buying me dolls. (and I had one that looked very much like the one in this picture.

A Mother is a Blessing and a Loving Treasure.

Happy Mother's day...I'm pretty sure that I am going to have a nice one...My daughter is taking me out for breakfast!

Yes, believe it or not another Birthday card

Yes, this very fortunate lady received yet another birthday card. This time it's from a friend I met through stamping, and Split Coast Stampers. I was telling Cathi what a wonderful birthday I had all week long, the only thing missing was a birthday cake. So what does Cathi bring to my house on Thursday night, Yes, you guessed it, CAKE! four delicious cupcakes...so we had a party!

My Mother's life long best friend, came and picked me up on Thursday afternoon and took me to lunch at a Tea room near my house, It is the one that my Mother would take me to every year for my birthday. My Mother's friend knew it was one of my Mother's favorite places, and wanted to take my Step-sister and I for lunch. The food is so good there. I didn't manage to get a picture of the front of the place, but I think that even with these two pictures you can get an idea of how nice the place is. It was a lovely spring time day.

MMTPT Teapot Tuesday Challenge ( I know it's Thursday

Here is my card for the Tuesday Teapot challenge this week. I'm just a bit late...smile

My card was made with Stampin Up's Garden Silhouettes stamp. A cuttle bug folder was used for the background (Textile) And Coredinations paper was used for the background. I had to sand the background (black paper) with sand paper to bring out the embossed image. My flowers have glitter, and I added a bow, Lace, and pop dots.

Card made for by Cherie...

Gee, I hope you are not tired at looking at all the beautiful cards I have received this past week, because I am certainly not tired of looking at them! smile. I still can't believe I have been so fortunate this week. Thank you for looking...

This card was made for me by my crafting buddy, Cherie. Cherie makes the prettiest cards. She can make rubber stamped cards, teabag folding, Iris folding, Lace cards, 3d cards, etc. Very talented. Thank you, Cherie...

Card I received from Lydia (Understand Blue)

Lydia, from Split coast sent me this beautiful card...It was made for last week's teapot challenge, and also because it was the same week of Will and Kate's wedding, but her card arrived in my mailbox on the day of my birthday, so it also felt like a birthday card. (because I did feel like a Queen for a day, on my birthday). I still have more beautiful home made birthday cards to post. I didn't even get around to taking pictures of them yet. It's been a very busy week.
