Girl in Teal dress

My hubby colored the image on this card for me (a while ago)  I'm finally getting around to making some cards using images he colored for me.  The above image is a digi image that he purchased from Funky kits...(Not sure if this image is still available...forgot to check before I started posting this.

Jim used copic colors E0000, G00, G05, R22, R00, Y00 YG13, YR21, Y28 and crayola white Pencil.

Anniversary card

I made the above card for a neighbor of mine celebrating her Anniversary this week.  (She's also one of my crafting buddies)

I tried to change several things on my card...so it wouldn't be a direct copy...

I definitely like the way she did her card better than mine...

But I know the copy and case rule is to change several things????

 (I used different designer paper...changed the background somewhat, and used a white card base instead of blue and it's for a different occasion.)

I thought Jennette Olen's card was really special

and I wanted to make a special card for my neighbor...

First of all because she is really a special person...

And second, I feel a bit intimidated by her because she has

a degree in ART!!!   smile.

I am so disappointed in the way my card photographed.  I made several attempts and could not get the colors to look right.  I used gold, red and green mirror paper to cut out my candle die...
I also used gold and red mirror paper to make a frame around my candle.  and added a ribbon.
My sentiment is a rub on.
My candle die is from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Cards made on a snowy day

I made these cards yesterday, while I was  sitting at my dining room table.  I was also looking out my window, watching all that white "stuff" falling out of the sky.  A perfect day for making cards.

I've been trying to straighten out my craft room...(an endless job) and in the process of doing that, I found a bunch of uncut tole sheets that I forgotten that I had...   Tole (and Iris folding) was one of the first techniques I used when I first started making cards!  I like to fussy cut, so I always enjoyed making cards using that technique.  The cards usually turn out being a bit thicker than I would like them to be... since I'm trying to cut down on postage costs I don't make as many of these anymore.

Card for my Mother's friend!

This card is for a lady that had been my Mother's friend for over 60 years.  I think she misses my Mother almost as much as I do.  She did so much for my Mother, and I always try to make a special card for her each year.  She loves The Victorian look, so that's what I always try to achieve with my cards.

I again made a Twist and Pop card (this makes Number 7)
I used Paper Wishes Designer paper for my background.  I stamped my lady images using stamps from Grapic 45 and Rubbernecker stamps.  I die cut my lace using a die from Our Daily bread and my oval lace die is from MFTstamps (die-namics)  My sentiment was stamped with a stamp from Stampendous!  I paper pieced my stamped images.

Birthday card made at Craft night

I made this birthday card last night at Craft Night!  Oh how I look forward to my craft nights!


Especially when we have a day like today and we have a little bit of cabin fever with the snow and wind!  It is another good day to stay in and Make cards!  Smile! 

The card above was made using Designer paper from Paper Wishes.  Die cut my Oval with a die from
mftstamps (Die-namics)  I stamped my sentiment with Gray Flannel Memento Ink, using a stamp from Stampendous.  My butterfly and rose is a "Collect able" from Kaisercraft!
