My husband made card Number 3

My husband made his Third Card...and Yes, I did suggest to him he should start up his own blog...smile

This is a another card my husband made using an image from Imagine and Do...He colored it with copics and added decorative peel offs to the corners...the whole card was done by him...

************************* Card Making Basics******************

Whenever I'm with new crafters/stampers  (which is usually my neighbors, friends, or family members)...I usually make sure I give them some Card making BASICS. 

Not that I am an expert at making cards...but I have been making cards for about 6 years or so now...so I would like to think that I have learned a little something along the way...and the
following is usually some basic hints that I start with...

1.  Before you lay the project that you are working on down on any surface...whether it's a desk, table, etc...

make sure that the surface is free of any sticky stuff (glue, etc) and any moisture... (ask me how I know this...

2.  Along the same lines as the above hint...if you are sipping any beverage while working on your project/cards, etc.

Make sure your bottle, cup, etc...has a lid "Securely" fastened on.  (ask me how I know this)

3.  Before you glue down any images or embellishments to the front of your card..

Make sure card is opening in the correct direction!  again, ask me how I know this...LOL

I hope my husband doesn't read this post...but he had a problem with one of these rules...
but I am sure he has learned from it...LOL 

Anyone else have a problem with any of the above?

My husband made a second card.  He really did do this card by himself.  He colored the image with copics...Image is from this website...http://mintunaskartelujutut.blogspot.com

My husband also cut out the image with an exacto knife...cut out the Filigree die and mounted the image with dimensionals...added peel offs on the side of the card.

The copic colors he used are E00, E000, E0000, RV0000, E11, G21, G21, E30

It's a beautiful summer Day

This is a gift that my husband made for me. He poured the cement for the top, and created a heart out of glass beads...I love it... Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow.

It's a beautiful summer day where I live...and It's making me feel more motivated...so I hope I can get more accomplished today. (Maybe even finally make a card)
Because of heat and humidity...I have been feeling like a limp dishrag...
