Purple birthday card for Carol

 I made this card for Carol,  of   "Our Little Inspirations" blog...for her birthday.

She didn't receive it yet, so she will see it here first.  Sorry, Carol, that  it did NOT make it to the mailbox yet.  Since It's already late for your birthday...I decided to post it here first.  

I've been under the weather and didn't even feel like going out to mail it.  (feel a bit better now)

Friend's birthday card

 My hubby found this image on the net.  Printed it and colored it for me to make my card.

I haven't put this card in the mail yet...but my friend doesn't usually look at my blog.

She obviously loves Horses.

After I took the picture, I relized that I need to fix the ribbon on top of the card.

Ever happen to you?  Happens to me all the time, after I take a picture of my cards I see some

mistakes I didn't notice before I took the pic.

For my Brotherin-law's birthday

 This a 3D card I printed it from A DISC That came in a Debbie Moore magazine.

I thought it would only take me a few minutes to make...NOT!

I always forget how long  it takes me to cut things out.  (and I do like to do fussy cutting.)

I lost some of the small pieces along the way, and ending up reprinting the 3D sheet.

Due to health reasons, my husband couldn't mow the lawn this past summer (The excessive heat did not help)  I tried to hire someone to do it...I couldn't do it either because of the heat and my meds.

So my husband's younger brother came and did it for him, several times (and would NOT let me pay him).  So I wanted to be sure to give him a birthday card with some gift cards.

He actually loves to work out in the yard.

I think I have figured out a few things with this new blogger...maybe I'm not hopeless after all.   smile..

My first try when I hit insert image ...Nothing happened.

Sympathy card

I am totally lost...

I kept reverting to the old blogger...but I don't see a link to change to that anymore.

So here I am, I can't figure out how to post my card, etc...

So it may take me some time to post again.

I'm not too great with changes and learning new things...

Birthday card

I made this card using a magazine I bought ages ago.  The rose stamp is from Simply Cards Magazine Issue 148.  I don't think I used the stamp before.

I colored the image with copics.  I cut out an oval  for the background using a Spellbinders Nestabilities die (Floral Ovals)

Puppy Card for a friend

I have a friend who is a big dog lover...(I guess that description fits a lot of us)
Even though we don't have a pet at this time.  I have my grand puppy, Trixie!
My friends dog is Goldie, and this sticker reminded me of her dog as a puppy.

This is another double Z card, and I added a dog house that I paper pieced.  I trid the wood look technique again, by dry embossing my hand cut out dog house,  Then scored it and sponged it with distress inks!  Used a punch to punch out the doorway, and die cut a tree.

Beautiful day in our area today.  We got to eat at a restuarant who has tables set outside their cafe. 
We considered our yummy breakfast as our delayed Anniversaary dinner.  Then we went to my favorite book store...  A used book store...where I always buy too many books.
and we followed that by going to my nephews candy store and we both bought some candy.

Anniversary Cards...

Jim and I celebrated our anniversary this past Monday...

(This year was one of the first years that we didn't go out to dinner on our anniversary... Hopefully, next year we will have open restuarants again.)

These were two of the beautiful cards that we received.

The first card...the parchment card...we received from our dear friend Em.
Em does all these fabulous parchment cards.  They amaze me, I have tried to do parchment a couple of times and, so far, I have not been successful with doing one.  The link to Em's fabulous blog with more of her beautiful parchment cards can be found on my side bar.

The Second Home made card came from another dear friend, Carole,  Carole had been my very first co-worker  (that was a few years ago)  I had been telling friends for years that Carol and I met on our first job when we were 17 years of age.  Then one day my friend came into my house with a photo of us in a group picture when we were both 12 years old.  I didn't even know the picture exisited.

Carole does not have a blog.  (but I'm so happy she recently joined Facebook.  YES!)
