I'm finding the bridge fold to be addictive!  I made this card using designer paper from Graphic 45, The dies that I used are from Heartfelt Creations, and Impression Obsession

Merry Monday...use Kraft

 I made the above card for this week's challenge at Merry Monday.  This week's challenge is to use Kraft on our card.  My background paper almost looks like it's white...but trust me it's Kraft.

I made my card using a  DreamWeaver stencil, and Tim Holtz paint.  

The card above was a Quick card...(like those)  I used a HeartCreations die to cut out the lace border (borrowed the die from my hubby).  Added a flower embellishment from Kaisercraft!

Twisted Sister Challenge Make a Get well Card

I made the above card for a challenge at Split Coast Stampers!

The challenge  for the Twisted Sister... was to make a Get Well Card.

My card was stamped with a stamp from Heartfelt Creations, and colored with copics, by my husband.  I die cut a Spellbinder die for the bottom.  A2 Fancy Ribbon Threader!

The rubber stamp is HCPC 3306 Posy Patch Garden Delights.

My Sentiment was stamped with a stamp from Stampin' Up  "take Care!

Added a gingham ribbon and dimensionals!

Yes, it's my dining room table, with two Ott lights over head...

Jim I were able to purchase the lights at half price, (yes they are expensive)

but they were worth every penny to us.  They have come in so handy, for our crafting.

I have them on every Thursday night when my friends come to craft.  

I'm a very poor photographer, and whenever I try to take photos of my cards and projects outside, the pictures look terrible.  I have shadows, glare from  the sun, or my shadow in the picture.  

I find it easier to just take my pictures inside at my dining room table.  That way,

I also don't have to worry if the sun is out or not.

 Lesley asked me in her comments yesterday, "Is there  a story behind the crochet you place your projects on"? 
 I hadn't really thought about it before, but there is...first of all, it's something I bought for my Mother along with a matching table runner.  I bought it for her on vacation a long time ago, and she seemed to really like it, and used it for many years.  It always reminds me of her. 
Also, It is  supposed to be hand crocheted.  I can't imagine doing all those tiny stitches, especially with a table runner.  Something like that would have taken me forever.  I have crocheted with thread, but it was much smaller projects, such Christmas ornaments, etc.  My favorite crocheting was toddler and baby dresses, such as the one below...but it is not done with thread...a  slightly thicker cotton thread.  
I think I did do one dress in thread, and then thought, "NO MORE WITH THREAD!"  So I really do appreciate the time it took to make the doily and table runner.   Plus the doily keeps the cards from
slipping like they do when I just put them on the table,

Anniversary cards

My sister had asked me to make her another 50th Anniversary card.  I failed getting a card done in time for her.  The cards were not going well for me (Nothing new...smile) and I was feeling ill in between (nothing serious...just got out of sorts for a bit)  You know I'm not feeling that great when I don't even feel like making a card!  smile.

I came up with five different card ideas and these are two of them...still need to try and finish the other three.  I didn't put the number 50 on the cards like I originally planned to do, so I left them blank for now, so maybe I can use them for something else.

My top card was made using two Spellbinder dies...Fancy Tags Two, and Filigree Delight.  I also used Gold embossing powder, added a ribbon, and felt flowers made by Jolee's.

My second card, I tried to make it look like a bridal fan, My daughter had carried one in her wedding instead of a bridal bouquet.  I used a large oval scalloped die from Spellbinders, and a die from Heartfelt Creations, Layered Elegant Swirl HCD716.

3d cards

I made these cards using a 3d sheet that I purchased at www.paperwishes.com    and Yes, I used more of the birthday money I received to buy some things there. 

In some of the past posts that I posted 3d cards...I would sometimes have someone say to me in a comment, that they have never heard of 3d cards and 3d sheets.  

3d cards and Iris folding were two of the first techniques I used to make greeting cards.  I had done very little rubber stamping back then.  (about 7 or so years ago)  They are both still two of my favorite techniques.  Back then You could find a lot of 3d sheets on the Internet to use.  Now there's very few free sheets...but there are still a few web sites where you can find some... (this link will also show you what a 3d sheet looks like for those who have never seen one)

The sheets in the link above are done the way that I used to make 3d cards...lots of fussy cutting.  I know not everyone likes to do a lot of  cutting, but I enjoy doing that.   The 3d sheet that I used for my cards above (the one I purchased at paper wishes)  you don't have to cut out,..You just have to punch out the pieces and layer them with dimensionals.

I still like the look of the 3d (a/k/a decoupage) cards, but the postage usually costs more to send these cards so I don't use this technique as much as more.

I made the cards to give as a gift to the lady that was my Mother's best friend.

Penny Black Stickers

I made this card using another sticker from my sticker box.  I added a die cut from Heartfelt Creations on the top of my card (Decorative Lace Border) and stamped my sentiment with a stamp From Northwoods Rubber stamps, and used Stampin' up Ink...

Birthday card for a friend

I made this birthday card to give to a friend. The stamp imagine is from Heartfelt creations.
HCPC 3306 Posy Patch Garden Delights.  The image was colored with copics by my husband.
The background was punched with a Martha Stewart punch around the page punch  (Deco fan)
the sentiment is from SweetNSassy Stamps.  I added a ribbon and a button.

Cardinal Christmas Card

Another Christmas card, I made with Rubber Stamping.  My husband colored the images for me with copics...E37, G29, R46, C10, T7, R39, E31, E17, YR04
The birds are from Heartfelt Creations, and after they were colored cut out with a matching Heartfelt creations die (Cardinal family, HCD 706.  Added a bow and button, and some stickles on the branches for some bling.  One of my resolutions for the new year, is to learn how to make a CAS card.  I can't seem to get away from layers on cards, and extra embellishments, and I am regretting this when I go to mail cards...(the extra postage...Yikes!)  But the person I am sending this to is worth the extra postage.
