MMTPT187 Teapot Tuesday card...from the Sea

This is a card that I entered into the Teapot Challenge this week at Split coast stampers...
we were to use the cute teapot as our inspiration.

I used a 3d sheet from Penny's site, I thought the 3d image was a good match to the teapot we were to use for our inspiration for our card...

We were to make our cards for a fellow teapotter going through a difficult time...this card will be sent to her.

Twisted Sister Card challenge

I made this card for  a challenge at split coast stampers...The "Twisted" sisters challenge.
I love that name...It fits me,  My husband tells me that I'm a bit strange at times.  I tell him that's to keep his life interesting.  LOL

I made the above flowers with a die from Spellbinders following Becca's tutorial found at the link below.

I used Spellbinders Anemone Flower topper die for the flowers.

Stampin' Up's Lattice embossing flower,  and a Martha Stewart punch for the lace border

I added designer paper from Stampin' Up, and ribbon from Stampin' up, and the buttons were made with a Stampin' Up sizzlet.

House Mouse Monday Challenge HMFM113

My husband loves to use copics (as some of you already know ...Smile) and another favorite of his ...is coloring House Mouse images.  So I decided to try and enter one of his colored images into a house mouse challenge card.  My first House Mouse Challenge.  I made this card for my grandson who is in his first year of college.  I thought this Would be a good image for a card for him

My card uses Copics (Husband wrote down ALL the colors he used. RV000, E40,E31, R02, YR24, B60, R27, E41, V99, G12, G82, Y11, E30, E07, YG05, B45, B39, YR61, YR04, E81, T3, B0000.
October Afternoon for the designer paper, Image is stamped with Memento ink, quote from DCWV Quote Stack, added a ribbon, brads, and pop dots for image

Wildflowers, Sweet N Sassy

I'm still trying out some of my new purchases from my visit to my favorite craft store this week--I purchased the Wildflowers stamp made by Sweet 'n Sassy stamps, I used my Tim Holtz Distress inks to sponge the background behind the wildflowers. I added a doily cut out with my new Cheery Lynn die, and added pop dots, and ribbon. My designer paper is from Stampin'Up

Card made with new spellbinder die...

This past Monday I had a great day shopping with two of my crafting buddies. We went to my favorite craft store...which is about an hour's drive from my home...So glad it is NOT closer to me. I would be even more broke than I already am, and I'm having a hard enough time as it is...to get my craft room organized, and cleaned out...LOL (In other words, to be honest, I really don't need more stuff....but it's so hard to resist!)

My card above is made with a new spellbinder die that I purchased on Monday (new to me anyway...smile) It is one of the Shapeabilities dies/ Anemone Flower topper
My designer paper is from Stampin' Up,
and I used an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, (The textile folder)
ribbon is from Stampin' up
and I added some Stickles

Part of what has been keeping me away from my card making lately is the "fixing" up we have been doing around our house. We had lots of water damage from a leaky roof, and One by one we have been fixing ceilings (and floors at the same time). So you know that means clearing out the WHOLE room. I'm almost embarrassed to show you the before pic of our bedroom below...I'm sure anyone on a tight budget will understand why we waited to do some of the work and have been doing it a little bit at a time. We were hoping to get some help from our home owners insurance...but unfortunately...it ended up being our problem.

I feel like I have been moving, because to date, I have packed up three entire rooms...(One by one)(we have No attic, No garage, no finished basement, so everything had to go into the other rooms of our house).

The pic below is the same room, hard for even me to believe...now complete...several months later, and after me sleeping on a recliner for several weeks while it was being done... I now feel like it was worth it.

Almost a Valentine's card

This card was supposed to be a Valentine's card, but after I finished it, I realized it really looks more like a sympathy card...
My husband colored the image with copics, I added an embossed Stampin' Up background (with the lattice folder) and added a ribbon.

and took me shopping, where I finally found some curtains for my bedroom that I like...

I'm so grateful for stamp night, they are so great for inspiration. Right now, it seems like I need all the inspiration I can get... I 'm having a hard time creating much of anything these days.

I'm also rusty with posting, because my pictures are not coming out in the order that I intended them to be in...LOL.
I really liked the paper that was used in this card...after class I had to order it. The checkered butterfly reminded me of the new back splash we put in our kitchen. I want to try and make a shadow box with the checkered designer paper to match my kitchen.

Thinking of spring

We have been having some nice warm weather so far this winter (I know it won't last! smile) but I have been enjoying while I can, and I'm already thinking of spring, and this image helped. the Garden image was colored with copics by my husband, the image is from Squigglefly, and the Tulip frame and designer paper is by stampin' UP
