A feeling of great happiness
A source or cause of great happiness: something or someone that that gives joy to someone.
The word I picked for my motivational word this year is the word Joy!
To read about the one word project go to this link...
A few days ago I put this post on my blog...
Suggested in her comments that I should send the Link to Debbie Macomber...she was sure she would like to read it.
If I had thought more about it...I may not have done so...
Send my blog post to someone who is a #1 Best selling author on the New York Times best selling Authors list...someone who has over 170 million copies of her books in print...
But I did do just that...I was thinking that she would not have time to read it...let alone respond to my email...
BUT SHE DID!!! Oh Happy, Joyful day!
She absolutely made my day...
I could hardly believe her email was in my inbox...
What was I afraid of?
Almost the same thing that I was afraid of Five years ago.
Five years ago, this week, I started my blog...
Me, Jill, who is not computer literate, and has a terrible time putting her thoughts in writing. I, obviously, am not a writer, and I am sure anyone who reads my blog has picked up on that fact.
I was afraid everyone would see my spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
And would be bored even looking at my blog. (well, maybe some of you are...LOL)
But amazingly enough, many of you come back...and leave me the nicest comments and great encouragement.
In Five years I have posted hundreds of cards, crochet, knitting, sewing, etc...In my wildest dreams I would have never thought that I would find so much to post about.
Or would I ever imagined that I would come to know so many of you through blogging, and some of you in real life!
Blogging has added more JOY to my life, than I ever thought it would. You share your humorous comments that make me laugh, crafting hints that have really been useful to me.
Four years ago, when I lost my Mother your words brought me comfort, and even though we may not have ever met in real life, I felt like you reached through your screen and touched me. So many of you shared parts of your life that have made me feel like a kindred spirit.
It's hard to imagine my life without my blogging friends.
So to all of you reading this. Thank you for the five years of JOY you have added to my life, and I hope we have many more years together. I appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart.
Blessings,
Jill
