More birthday cards...

The above card was made by Sue.  Sue does not have a blog but she has over 1000 lovely cards posted at her gallery on Split coast Stampers here...

This lovely PINK feather card was made by Darnell.
Darnell knows that I like PINK!
And she always makes me a birthday card with PINK!  So pretty Darnell!
I forgot to get her link to her blog to put here...but you can find the link to her lovely blog on my sidebar.
I made the above card for my step-sister's granddaughter for her first communion.
The card was made using Stampin' Up's "Graceful Glass Vellum.

Some Beautiful Cards that I have received

This post is to show some lovely cards that I received in the mail this week.
The above card was made by Carol
Carol's wonderful blog can be found here...
Carol knows that my favorite color is Pink and always has PINK in her card to me.  This time the card also has purple which is Carol's favorite color.
Thank you so much, Carol, for your beautiful card and for always remembering my birthday.

This lovely, amazing parchment card (Pergamano) was made by Em
Em's blog can be found here..https://www.creative-em.com/
I have (Many years ago) tried to do some parchment, Pergamano cards and mine were a complete fail.  It's very exacting work...(which I'm probably not that good at doing)  So I really admire the excellent work that Em did on this card!  Thank you Em, and Yes, I noticed the PINK too.

/
The above card was made by my crafting buddy Cherie, Cherie and I have probably been crafting together for over 25 years or so.  It was not always doing cards.  I think we started out with cross stitch and then I did some crocheting while Cherie was sewing, and then doing scrapbooking.  Now we both mainly make cards.  Cherie used to have a blog but she gave it up.  (wish she hadn't)
This is the inside of Cherie's card.  I have never made this kind of gift card myself.
But she had definitely inspired me to give it a try.  Did you notice the Squirrels on the card?  (Those of you, who have been on my blog before may remember the famous Squirrel story?  It's something that some of my friends have not forgotten, and they in turn will not let me forget!)  Smile.

I have some more lovely cards that I have received this week...I will try and post the rest tomorrow.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today...
Blessings,
Jill

More Birthday fun...

The above card was the card I received from my craft night buddies, Cherie and Kathi...
They had a little party for me a week after my birthday...  Notice the Squirrel on my card
and the acorn?

Instead of a birthday cake...they made me these cute little acorns made out of little peanut butter cookies and Hershey kisses.  So cute!  And good...Notice the decorations?  Squirrels...
These two ladies know how to do a party...I always tell them they should be party planners...
I received a telephone call from the two of them...telling me that I need to take everything off of my dining room table...they were bringing me a surprise!  They walk into my house looking like party caterers...they came in with bags of stuff.  I was not allowed into my dining room to see what they were doing.  When they were ready they told me I could come into my dining room.  When I walked into the room...I could see that they not only brought their own table cloth and dishes...they brought cut up fruit and veggies and home made party favors...and...of course...the theme was another "Squirrel" theme.  (As I said before on my blog...I will never hear the end of the Squirrel story)
The above book was one of my birthday gifts from them along with some beading supplies...
What a special and fun night they created for me!  I am so blessed.

Thank you visiting my blog today

Jill

More fabulous cards that I received

The above card is the birthday card that Cherie made for me...
And this is the birthday card that Kathi made for me...
What a great time I had last evening.  My two weekly crafting buddies, Cherie and Kathi...came to my home and brought me the two lovely cards that they made.

Back in September when it was Cherie's birthday, we went out to a restaurant together.  One that I suggested.  I honestly thought that it was called Squirrel something (where was my head?)  (or should I say my brain?)  They haven't let me hear  the end of this since then.  smile.

This is the link where I first posted the story about this fun day.

Thus, if you look carefully at the above the cards...you will see that both cards have squirrels on them.  Also since they said I am obsessed with making side step cards....(me obsessed!!!!   I've only made 21 of those side step cards! )  For that reason...They said that they knew it had to be side step cards!

I will definitely treasure these cards...  This is also one of the reasons I like card making so much.
You can so personalize the cards...Favorite color, favorite memories, etc.

Hubby took me to my favorite restaurant to eat last night.  My meal was so good, and Yes, I had
dessert.  A piece of cake.  You have to cake on your birthday, right?

The restaurant had so many pretty flowering trees and flowers.  It was a lovely evening weather wise too.
I love this view from the restaurant...They are planning a major remodel of this place, and I hope they don't change the windows.

After we came back from the restaurant my daughter and grandchildren came to visit.
And brought me a gift...a Fitbit!
Does anyone reading this right now, have a Fitbit?

I think it's a great gift and idea...but not sure if I will be able to use it or not.
(I'm already having problems with it!)  (not the fitbit...it's me!

Beautiful day today...

It's a beautiful day today,  The sun is out...I have some windows open...
And I found these lovely cards in my mailbox.

The first card I found in my mailbox was this beautiful twisted easel card...
Made in my favorite color combo for cards...
That lovely card came with this beautiful gift...which came all the way from England!
Em, I love them both!
Em's blog with her beautiful cards can be found here

I took a quick peek at Carol's blog before I started my post, and I see that she posted today the card I posted below.  Carol, You took a much better pic of this card than I did...
You can see it on Carol's blog here...

Carol, also knows that my favorite color is PINK!  smile...  she also answered one of the questions I was wondering about when I saw her card.   I was wondering how she made those delicate stems on her card...and they are cut from card stock.    They are done so perfectly, and I thought maybe it was from drawing them somehow...but it couldn't have been easy cut out from card stock either.

The card below was made by Sue from Split Coast Stampers...Sue does not have a blog,
but she has a fabulous gallery at Split Coast stampers...and here is the link to her gallery.

Sue that card is so cute, and may look a LITTLE bit like me...Only I'm a bit older...
and NO LONGER that thin (I used to be...smile)

And the card below was made by another one of my friends named Carol.  Carol does not have a blog nor does she have a computer!  (Oh, how I wish she did!)  but she is now making cards!
Which, obviously, makes me very happy.  The card below is only the second card that she made.
Carol, and I have been friends since we have been teenagers!  Whoops!  That may not be correct!
I always thought that I had met, Carol, for the first time when we both did our first job.  I thought that we met at 17!  Just recently, Carol, corrected me!  She came to my house to visit me, bringing me a pic of us when we were both in the same girl scout group.  (When we were about 11 or 12 years old!)
What a surprise that was...I didn't even realize that we were in the same troop.  Obviously, my friend realized that fact!

I received lots of nice surprises this week...

This is a card that My Thursday night crafting buddy, Kathi, gave me tonight...Isn't it adorable?
I love it!  It was made with mostly Stampin' Up supplies...

And this is the card that Cherie gave me tonight at Craft night.  I think they both know that my favorite color is PINK!

Kathi baked some Home made cupcakes for me...I blew out the candle, I will let you know later
If my wish comes true... (this was delicious!)
Cherie and Kathi, really spoiled me by giving me this craft bag with all of the above goodies in it...
This will keep me crafting for a while.  They had glue, paper, dimensionals, rubber stamps, flower soft, prima flowers, brads, buttons,
And I found this package in my mailbox, sent to me by my sister in law...
And these goodies were inside.

As you can see I had a very special week...

Hope everyone reading this did too...

Thank you for visiting my blog.
Blessings,
Jill
