It's a beautiful summer day where I live...and It's making me feel more motivated...so I hope I can get more accomplished today. (Maybe even finally make a card)
Because of heat and humidity...I have been feeling like a limp dishrag...

Cards for men

I realized when I went looking for the cards I have made for men....that I have made very few. Out of the hundreds of cards that I have made...just a handful have been masculine cards. I guess one of the reasons is that they are harder to make...(at least I think they are) I think all of these cards have been on my blog before...but they fit the theme for Father's day tomorrow. I don't make Father's day cards anymore...all of my father's are gone. My father had a heart attack 16 years ago...We lost my father-in-law to cancer 8 years ago, and my Step father to cancer 7 years ago.

My Friend's book

This is my third try to post the rest of the pictures of my friends book. So I hope it works this time. I made a book for my friend, from our early school years. I met my friend in the 6Th grade so...she is the friend I have had the longest! We have shared so much so I wanted to give her a special gift. As I said in my previous post...I made a gift book for a very dear friend, who was my best friend growing up. She doesn't know about the book, and she doesn't have a computer...so I don't think she will see this post before I give her the book. So therefore, I don't have her permission to post her picture (s) so I decided to try not to show her face as much...even though she has a very pretty face. (I put some vellum over her pictures) I forgot how much work scrap booking is...maybe that's why I don't do too much scrap booking. I do enjoy it though. The pictures were taken during our school years.

Most of the paper used for the background is made by Stampin' Up...

I also used the bird punch by Stampin'Up and the fence punch by Martha Stewart...

On the pages below I put rubber stamping, and Tea bag folding, the dahlia fold Sitting in front of a creek...I used to actually swim in...Yikes...Wouldn't do it today...but I had no where else to go swimming.

I haven't been making as many cards, because I have been working on a gift book for a friend for her birthday which is in a few weeks. I can't believe I actually got a gift finished way ahead of time...My things are usually late, or working right up to the minute I need it...smile...This will probably have to be posted in two parts...lots of pages...

Sorry I have been missing for a few days....busy summer...went away for a few days to Virginia, and family came in from California...Plus, with heat and humidity...too hot to sit in front of the computer. Hope everyone is having a nice summer...
