Lititz Bed and Breakfast

Swiss Woods Bed and Breakfast This was our private deck area...
The dining room where we ate a very Delicious breakfast!

The view from our Patio

Having trouble posting these photos so I hope they come through..If at first you don't succeed...

Lititz Bed and Breakfast Part 2

I'm still going through photographs, and since I didn't get on vacation this summer...I'm going on a vacation by looking at pictures, and remembering some of the places we did get to visit.

I'm not sure how long ago we were guests at this bed and breakfast, but it had to be at least 8 or so years ago. I looked at the link that I am putting here, and it looks like it is still owned by the same people. If so, they were wonderful hosts, and help to make our stay very memorable. We had planned to stay there 3 days and only stayed for two because it, rained, and rained, and rained, so we decided to just go home instead of trying to sight see anymore in the RAIN!
Our first evening there was just lovely though (before the rain) We sat out on our own private patio, and later walked to the near by lake through the woods. Beautiful place...

More Anniversary Cards

Since My Anniversary is in a few days, I have Anniversaries on my mind right now. Trying to think of something I can make for my husband, at the moment my mind is a blank, but I have to start working on a card. In the meantime I'm posting some cards I made last year.
The last card was made for my daughter, their Wedding song was "May I have This Dance" by Anne Murray

Brandywine Bed and Breakfast

We have family coming in from out of town next week, so My Mother wants me to go through my photographs and see if I can find some family pictures to give to my family. These are NOT some of the photographs for the family, but as I'm going through photographs I found these. They were taken at a Bed and Breakfast that is only about a hour and half from our home, but it got us away for our Anniversary last year. (even if it was only a one night vacation)
Since our Anniversary is next week, it made me think of these photographs.
The Bed and Breakfast is supposed to be going out of business, or I would post the name...

Some more Iris folding cards

These are actually MORE cards that I made some time ago, didn't have time to make anything new today...

Iris folding is how I started making cards and it's still a favorite technique of mine...The link below is where I found some of the patterns for the cards I'm posting today.

Pansies for Mom

Pansies for Mom, I have to apologize again, These are awful pictures of this cross-stitch piece. One thing I am NOT is a photographer! This is the second item that I ever cross-stitched, and it is probably the one I enjoyed the most, because of all the colors. It was easier than some of the others things I have done. I gave this to my Mother many years ago, along with a basket full of goodies. The goodies were a cross-stitch towel with a pansy on it...(never took a picture of it) some stationary with pansies on it, some Pansy shaped soap, and a cloth doll that I made for her, which I will post later.

I don't think I posted these before?

I didn't have time to make a card today, so I'm posting two cards that I have posted on the card forum....circleofcrafters...ages ago, but I don't think I posted them to my blog...
The thank you card image is from Nikky
I added brads in the corners, and the writing is a rub on
and the screen door, Is not my idea, It came from a magazine that I subscribe to...Country Woman Magazine...
In the magazine they used actual screening, which I didn't have...so I used some mesh Christmas ribbon that I have...I scanned both the front of the card, and the inside of the card...

Thank You card

My Mother wants me to make her a lot of thank you cards, for the nice things people have done for her for her birthday, and encouragement with her illness.

My husband found the image at a public domain site, I used some peel offs to frame the edge, and a silver metal embellishment for the thanks, I don't think the colors scanned well, but in real life they do go together a bit better, (at least I think they do?)

cross-stitched Poodle

I didn't take a very good picture of this cross-stitched poodle that I did for my Mother many years ago...but I think you get the idea. I did it for her when she had her French Poodle named Mimi...

The poodle is not a Counted cross-stitch but a stamped cross-stitch

Stamp Night cards

I'm unable to go to stamp night right now, but I never posted the card from previous stamp nights...so here they are...

Two Birthday's Today

Good Morning, Hope everyone is having a good Sunday!
Two Birthday's today, One is my Mother's birthday, and I'm posting the card that I made for her birthday, I don't think it is "special" enough, I do hope she likes it. It's a 3D card, and I used a ribbon punch around the 3d image.
I had originally planned to take my Mother out to dinner for her birthday, but due to her compromised immune system , she is not allowed to go out in crowds, so she is coming to my house for lunch today. My husband is doing the cooking.
She was also invited to my cousin's 3 year old son's birthday party today, but she is not allowed to go, so I made a card for her to send.

Longwood ( a few weeks ago)

I didn't have time to make a card yesterday, but I did finally take the time to upload some of the photos that I took on our Longwood Garden visit a few weeks ago...Hope you enjoy...
Just one of the many Indoor Gardens they have...

I took so many flower pictures, I will share more later...

This beautiful path is made from material made from recycled tires

I really enjoyed watching this painter painting the flowers in the garden, I asked her if I may take a picture of her painting. There are so many beautiful places in the garden, I don't know how she could finally choose a place to paint.
A nice place to sit and relax
