These are the cards I did at the "Stampin Up" Class on Wednesday night. Stacie, a wonderful Stampin Up Demo...made the samples for these cards, which we then put together. So much fun...I feel so blessed when I get to attend these classes. A great evening out...(and I learn so much) Have a great weekend everyone...

Also the horse card is a card I made for a Split coast Challenge--- MMTPT90...Mother Mark's Teapot challenge. (I know that card doesn't look like a teapot)

Where I was three years ago this week in April

Three years ago...(At this time in April) I was on vacation in California. It was only my second time on a plane, (which I did NOT care for at all) Other than the plane ride--(It did go rather smoothly...I'm just very claustrophobic)--- I really did enjoy myself, and to me, it was one of my "Dream vacations come true. We were quite fortunate that family and friends did provide a lot of the lodging and food...(or we would not have been able to go)

Didn't do a very good job with getting these pictures in order...but You get the idea...

since I have Not had time to make anything lately, I decided to share some pictures we took in California...Hope you like to look at Vacation pictures...I do!

Another Iris Folded card

Iris Folding, (called Iris Twist on Split coast Stampers) Is still one of my favorite techniques...It's easy but a bit time consuming. I was trying to come up with some ways I can use my new SU 2 step bird punch....and this is what came up with to use my new punch. I was trying to come up with a card sample that I can show to a friend, that I hope to show Iris folding to...

Card for my Mother's best friend

My Mother's best friend's birthday is coming up and I needed to make a card for her. She had been a friend to my Mother for a long time...so... She's missing my Mother too....I wanted to make something special for her...I hope I succeeded.

Life is Fragile...

Wow! Where does the time go...I keep thinking that things will get less busy, and I will have more time for my blog....NOT!! I hope everyone had a nice Holiday. I spent Easter day with my daughter who cooked a great dinner. The day before we had a yard sale at my sister-in-law's house so my weekend was quite busy. I gave my grand kids some goodies in the basket that I cross-stitched the border on...just some little trinkets for the family and CHOCOLATE! (My favorite food) Since they're teenagers, I mostly give them something to go buy their own gifts...never sure what to buy for them.

The cross-stitched picture is one of the first things I ever did with cross-stitch...It's not even counted cross-stitch but "Stamped" cross stitch. I would much rather do the counted cross-stitch. While going through my things to see what I wanted to put out for my yard sale, I found the picture so I thought I would put it on my blog...The words were true when I made it...

and I think even truer these days..."Life Is Fragile...handle it with prayer."
