Pumpkin card

 Hello from Jill...

Sorry, I know it's been a while.  I almost forgot how to post...

I made this card for the Twisted Sister Challenge at Split Coast stampers.

This month's theme was to put pumpkins on our card.

I didn't have any pumpkin stamps, or pumpkin dies...so I used some of my Graphic 45 paper to make my card.  Just added a ribbon and some dimensionals.

Hope to catch up with my commenting.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Blessings,

Jill

Anniversary card

I made this very quick Anniversary card for hubby.

Our Anniversary is this week..  I was really stuck as to what I should make...when I remembered the papers that I had from Graphic 45.

Right now I am very scared because of the news we received earlier this evening.  Our Grandson's military base is being evacuated because of a Hugh storm that is headed their way.

He sent a text telling the family that it was originally rated a category 5 storm...but I think it's been down grated a bit.  Hopefully, a whole lot.  They are expecting very high winds and flooding ...  Please send some prayers/good thoughts our grandson's way.   Thank you and Bless you...

Birthday baseball card

My sister asked me to make a birthday card for a friend of hers...

She wanted me to make it a baseball theme.  I don't have any stamps for that ...so I decided to order some baseball fabric that I saw on line.  besides using the fabric for my image,  I used designer paper from Graphic 45 for my background, and I computer generated the sentiment.  I used dimensionals to pop up my image.

For a dear friend's birthday

This is a birthday card for a dear friend of mine.  She was my very first co-worker when we were both 17.  For many years I told people that I had known Carol since we were both 17.  Then my friend comes to visit me one day to tell me that statement was NOT true.  She then pulls out a photo she found of both us in a Girl Scout photo.  I didn't even know that the photo exsisted.  (we were both about 11 or 12 at the time.  Anyway, she is one of those friends who has NEVER ever forgotten my birthday.  So I try not to forget hers...(although sometimes my cards have arrived late).

Carol's favorite color is red and through the years I have always tried to give her or make her a card with red on it.  I made this card at night, so I thought the dress was RED, but in daylight in actually looks ORANGE!  (I hope she thinks it look red!  Smile.. .. The image was cut out of a piece of Graphic 45 Designer paper.  The background is also a piece of designer paper that my hubby found for me to use from his stash of craft supplies   (It great to have a hubby who does crafting too!)  The stamps I used for my sentiments also came from his craft supply...

Thank you everyone, for all the nice comments you leave for me...It always makes my day...

And Thank you for visiting my blog

Autumn time

I was visiting Pauline's fabulous blog...and I noticed that with the card she made...

She used some Graphic 45 paper that I have.  I love what she did with hers.

Her work is fabulous... Here it is...

https://craftingwithcotnob.blogspot.com/2020/10/autumn-time.html

She made three cards using the Autumn time paper.  I made one card using lots of images...

to hopefully make it look like a collage page.  (In truth, I think my collage page got a bit too busy to suit me.  I could have made it look (maybe) less cluttered If I would have realized that I have a second sheet of this paper.  (I didn't realize that until after I made my card)

I made the card for my neighbor whose back yard meets up to my back yard.

She is a school teacher for over 20 years.  I asked her (with social distancing and by texting) how her school year was going so far...   After some hesitation...she said that this has been her most challenging year of teaching ever.   (I can only imagine)

Anyway, I wanted to make a card for her to let her know that I was thinking about her...

Baseball

I was asked to make a 40th birthday card ...At first I was dragging my feet ( so to speak)
I really didn't want to do it.  But now I'm glad I was asked, it helped to inspire me to sit down and make another card.

Thank you, for visiting my blog today,

Here it is 12 days into the New Year and this is my first post...
Hopefully, I will  do better as the year goes on...

https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/popupbookcard/

As I have said in a previous post I love to read.  (I'm addicted to reading)  and now I'm addicted to making cards using this fold.

My paper is from Graphic 45, (French Country)  I used a PSX stamp  (Yes, an oldie, but still a favorite of mine)  the  bird house die is from Impression Obsession.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I made two simple cards for St. Patrick's Day.
I used Graphic 45 paper

This year is a special St. Patrick's day for me.  I always wore green on St. Patrick's day and when someone would ask me if I was Irish.  I would day no.

After using my daughter's Mother's day present to me last year...   My DNA test.    I found out that I am 15% Irish!
I actually have more Irish in me that My husband does!

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone...

Twofer Challenge Birds

 Click on cards to enlarge
I finally managed to make another Twofer Challenge.  I've only
managed to make one Challenge.    I've already managed to make one card for the challenge and then by the time I got around to trying to make a second one the challenge time was up...(what can I say...I'm slow at making cards!)

For this challenge you are to make two cards with the same stamp or die, but they have to be for two different occasions and two different designs.

The link to the challenge can be found here...
https://twofercardchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/01/twofer-card-challenge-12.html

I made my bird cards using a stamp (and matching die) that was in a magazine I purchased..."Simply cards and papercraft" issue 165.

I colored my birds with copics, and used Graphic 45 paper for my backgrounds.

On my first card I used peel offs, the sentiment was stamped with a stamp that came from the same magazine.

The second card I used a sentiment that came from SweetNSassy, and I paper pieced my birdhouse.  I added a vine using a die from Cheery Lynn Designs,  the die is called Fanciful Flourish B117.

Card made for this week's Featured stamper Challenge

Click on card to Enlarge picture

I made this card in honor of this week's featured stamper at Split coast Stampers.."NerdyBeth"

This is the card that I cased
https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2367720?&cat=500&ppuser=157841

I like how Beth used her Designer paper in the background
( I used Graphic 45 on my background.  Beth mentioned in the comments that the image she used on her card was the very first Stampin' Up image that she had purchased.
It made me think back to which stamp was my very first stamp that I purchased through Stampin' Up and it was the "Chef" stamp.  I purchased it to make cards for my hubby (who is a great Chef) (In my kitchen)
I showed this card to my husband and he said "It looks like he's wearing Fish net Stockings!"  I guess he does, now that I took another look on the card.  Oh well, I hope I get an A for effort.

I made this caard with Graphic 45 paper for my background, and paper pieced my stamped image...

Anniversary card

I made this card for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law for their Anniversary.

My hubby colored the image for me.  He was going to give me the copic list...
however, he used 27 copic colors to color this!  It would have been a long list!

The image was stamped using a stamp from Penny Black  (Jack and Ginger)
Hope my in laws like this card...(They are younger than we are  LOL)

I also used some Graphic 45 designer paper for the background, a SweetNSassy stamp
for the sentiment!

Card for my Mother's friend!

This card is for a lady that had been my Mother's friend for over 60 years.  I think she misses my Mother almost as much as I do.  She did so much for my Mother, and I always try to make a special card for her each year.  She loves The Victorian look, so that's what I always try to achieve with my cards.

I again made a Twist and Pop card (this makes Number 7)
I used Paper Wishes Designer paper for my background.  I stamped my lady images using stamps from Grapic 45 and Rubbernecker stamps.  I die cut my lace using a die from Our Daily bread and my oval lace die is from MFTstamps (die-namics)  My sentiment was stamped with a stamp from Stampendous!  I paper pieced my stamped images.

Twofer Card Challenge #1

I finally made some cards to post in Darnell's first Twofer Card Challenge...
This was a challenge for me, I don't duplicate cards too often (even at Christmas)
I really like the idea though, it makes me think outside the box, and gives me the opportunity to think of more ways I can use the same die or stamp and I'm so happy Darnell came up with this idea.

Thank you again, Darnell for this challenge...which can be found here at this link...

https://twofercardchallenge.blogspot.com/2018/01/twofer-card-challenge-1.html

Speaking of feathers, I was thrilled to see that the above card made the "Favorites" thread at
Split Coast Stampers...

One of the things mentioned about this card was how much they liked my background paper
and how I used the twine to embellish my card.

The paper is a digi...I found it at one of my card magazines...(don't remember which one)
I liked it so much and I knew it would be a great background for my feathers.
However, my printer was giving me fits and kept printing lines across my paper where I
did not want them.  After several tries using the printer cleaner function.  I gave up at the time
and just used the paper anyway and tried to think of a way I could hide the lines that
I did not want to show...and the twine was my solution.

I'm only mentioning this because it made me think of Darnell's April fool challenge she had
where you were to show the cards that were made from boo boo's...well here is another one..
smile.

Thank you for visiting my blog today...
Blessings,
Jill

PS.  I almost forgot to mention my bird cards were made using a stamp from Our Daily Bread
designs.  The sentiment stamp was from SweetnSassy, my Designer papers were from Stampin' up,
and Graphic 45

NBUS #11

I Made the above card as a birthday card for my sister.  Since I used a NBUS stamp...
I'm going to add to Darnell's Boo Boo/NBUS challenge.
The Link to Darnell's challenge can be found here...(and also a link to her blog on my
sidebar...)
http://www.djkardkreations.com/2017/04/2nd-annual-april-fools-boo-boo-hop-and.html

It's been such a busy week that I didn't think I would get the time to enter the challenge...
However, I received a call tonight from my Mother's friend, about going to lunch tomorrow
to celebrate OUR birthdays.  My Mother's friend always treats us to lunch for our birthday...
(My Sister and I...) every year...Usually at the end of April because all three of us
celebrate our birthday the last week of April.  I thought I had more time to get my cards
done for the birthday luncheon...surprise, It's tomorrow instead.  So that meant I had to
quick throw a card together for my sister...(Already had my Mother's friend card finished
It's the one in my last post...(I also have the link to the card fold I used for these cards in
My last post.)

This shows the little gifts (That I purchased) that I am giving to them...The lunch get together is NOT supposed to be about gifts...but I always have to come up with a little something anyway. (They're just note pads) My sister has a cat, and Carrie loves Pugs!
Speaking of NBUS,  I was able to go to a stamp show last week...and the above pic is a photo of the goodies that purchased at the show. ( and also some were purchased at Hobby Lobby after the show)  Look at all that NBUS.  Hopefully, soon it will all be used.

I know I have made many boo boos in the last year...but did not save the cards...In the TRASH they went.
But I sort of had a boo boo On Thursday.  I was trying to get a card together for this week's Merry Monday Christmas Challenge.  I stamped an image that I wanted to use...but it did not turn out very well, and I did NOT have time to do another one right away...  So I cleaned the stamp and put it away.

The next day, on Friday, I went looking for the stamp that I was going to use for the card, but it was NO where to be found.  I even had my poor husband helping me to look...  on the floor, in my craft room, in the kitchen (I had cleaned it at the sink)  It had me a little upset because it was a NBUS stamp.  It's depressing to lose something...but even more so when it's the first time you used it.

Well, the happy news is that I found it...TODAY.  Too late for the Merry Monday Challenge, but so happy that I found it.  Where was it?  Stuck to the BOTTOM of a box in my craft room.

I have done this before.  I was sitting at my table crafting and could not find my acrylic stamp...Again, I looked all over the table, on the floor, etc.  Only to find it much later stuck to
the bottom of my score pal.

Thank you for visiting my blog today...
Blessings,
Jill
PS.  I hope to be back later to comment on the other cards in the challenge.

Birthday Card for a Friend

I made this card for  a dear long time friend's birthday.  (We have been friends since we were in our teens)
(Boy!  That was a long time ago...smile...

As usual, I'm late sending this card...so that is why I (again) tried to make a quick one.
I used graphic 45 paper (My favorite paper) the paper is from a pack called..."It's raining cats and dogs."  Obviously, My friend likes cats.  Always had one as long as I've known her.

A Birthday card for my Daughter

I made the above card for my daughter's birthday which was a few days ago.  I haven't been able to give it to her yet...  But I did post a picture of it on her Facebook timeline.   Since her Father and I have been under the weather with our cold (or is it flu)?  (It's been hanging on so long...or maybe it just feels that way...smile)  I didn't want her to get whatever we had so I told her she would get it later.

I saw a card on Pinterest that inspired me to get this Graphic 45 paper out and use it.

"On this day I received one of the best gifts.
I could have ever received, my beautiful baby girl was born
and has blessed me every since."

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
