MMTPT188 Teapot Tuesday Challenge for this week

The is my challenge card for this week's challenge at Split Coast Stampers for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge.  Our card was supposed to have a cat, books, jewels, or something with Royalty on it.
I only have one small cat stamp...so I decided to use this image for my card.  Details for the challenge can be sound here
My card is a center step card, and I used the tutorial to make this card from a tutorial at Split coast stampers.  The link for the tutorial can be found here.

My husband found the image that I used, it was black and white, and he colored it for me using copics.  The sides of my cards were made using blue metallic paper and I embossed it using my Cuttlebug, using the Textile embossing folder, I then heat embossed using Versamark and gold embossing powder.  I added a row of lace with attached beads to the bottom, and ribbon, butterfly sticker, and score-pal to score my card folds for the center step card.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. It was rather quiet here...but hot! No A/C yet! My husband has promised me he will get them in the windows soon...I sure hope so...It's sticky! (and it's only the end of May...

The card I'm posting was made for a Technique Challenge at Split Coast Stampers.

For this challenge, you are to make a TENT card. I like the look of the tent card, but I struggled making this card. (and please excuse my photography...My photography skills are not the best. I used a Stampin Up stamp for the roses,(abundant Joy) and colored pencils with a blender pen to color the roses and the ballerina. I added glitter, brads, and pearls to the lace.

My card was made using an oval punch, and a scor-pal for the background, I used a button, and peel offs to embellish the card, and a scor-pal to do the white background.

I DID NOT MAKE THE CARD THAT I AM POSTING TODAY! Forgive me for shouting! But I just wanted to make it clear that I did NOT make the beautiful card that I am posting today. I have a dear friend and neighbor (who is moving out of our neighborhood :-( My friend and I have been crafting together for over twenty years, we share recipes, craft ideas, and lots of laughter. The card I am posting (with her permission) was a card that she made my husband (the bird lover) for this birthday.

I'm not sure where she got the 3D image from, but she used my scor-pal to make the background. I really like my scor-pal (NO, I am not associated with the company...so I do NOT get paid for sharing this...but I do like my scor-pal and I really like Cherie's creativity here with this card. After she scored the background she cut out little squares of paper to put randomly on the card. I really like how it looks on this card...here is the link to scor-pal if you want to see what one looks like...they also have a lot of great projects to make on their website, and I'm sure you could make some of them not using a scor-pal, but the scor-pal makes it so much easier
