Lovely card from a lady who never forgets...
Darnell's blog can be found here...
Rose is my favorite flower...so you know I loved this beautiful card from Sue
Sue doesn't have a blog...but She's also known as Irish Green Sue at Splitcoast stampers...
and she has a fabulous gallery with over 1000 cards in it  here...

https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=113778

It's always such a joy to go to my mailbox and find something in my mailbox besides bills and junk mail...
Thank you so much ladies...You have no idea how much your kindness is appreciated...

Carol  from
Carol if you are reading this...I want to thank you for the gift you have given to me too.
Carol took me for my first visit to my very favorite craft store.  (One I'm sure that I would have
never found if she hadn't taken me there).  It was many years ago, and for several years since then...
I try to get there on my birthday.  The store is such a joy to visit...I always feel like it's a birthday present to just visit the store.

The above pic is some of the things I purchased on my birthday...
The graphic 45 paper I found at another craft store...One that I was lucky enough to receive a birthday coupon to use today...

My hubby took me for lunch at a smorgasbord...One where you can get a free meal on your birthday.  Boy did I over eat!  But it was so good!  I need to try and put many more steps on my fitbit for the next couple of days.

It was a very special day for me.
I am so very blessed.
Thank you for visiting my blog today

Happy Mail...

I have been very blessed to find all these lovely cards in my mailbox these last two days.

First up is a card from a dear on line friend that I had the privilege of meeting in person because of us both blogging.  (So glad I found blogland).
Carol's wonderful cards can be found here...

Next Up...is a card created by the delightful, talented, Darnell...
No, Darnell did NOT send me a card with the sentiment upside down.
It was me who photographed it upside and didn't even realize it till I went to post it...
If you would have seen our (Not  so great week  last week) and my problems with my camera
and computer before I posted these cards....smile...   You would understand!  Maybe I can
blame it on yesterday's.  HEAT!  It was unseasonably warm and we don't have Central Air and
got caught off guard with no air conditioners or fans in windows yet!  (needless to say we didn't sleep too well last night...  (maybe that's why I'm more fuzzy headed than usual)?

Darnells' wonderful (and sometimes funny) blog can be found here...

The wonderful card above was created by Em,,,   Em, we have been sort of in the clouds these last two days with the hazy humidity...Does that count?
Em's very creative cards can be found on her blog here...

The above elegant card, was made by Leanne.  Leanne makes the kind of cards I enjoy seeing.  Cards that are Elegant, Victorian, and they are so beautifully done.
You can find Leanne's Lovely blog here...

The above card was made by Sue.  Sue's cards are always made to perfection.  She's a very
gifted card maker.  Sue does not have a blog...but she has a wonderful card gallery on
Split Coast Stampers...You can find her cards here...

Thank you ladies for helping to make my special day even more special.
You certainly brightened up my day...

Thank you for visiting my blog today..
Blessings,
Jill

I'm so spoiled

My crafting buddies came to my home last night, and had these surprises for me...
Cherie's beautiful card above, along with that lovely PINK bracelet that she made for me.
She also put an acorn on the gift box...with a squirrel inside the card.  Some people who have been on my blog before may remember the squirrel story ( I said I would never live down
the squirrel story)
This was the pretty card that Kathi made for me, along with her lovely PINK bracelet!
Notice the PINK squirrels on the gift box
This is a close up of the pretty bracelets that they made for me...the top one was made by my neighbor Chris.
And, of course, you can't forget the food.   My favorite being the chocolate cupcakes
with the peanut butter icing.

It was a great night, but we didn't manage to get any crafting done...LOL!

I'm flying high today...

I'm flying high today!!!  For several reasons.  First of all because of the happy mail I received in my mailbox today.

The above card was sent to me from Carol...http://ourlittleinspirations.blogspot.com/
Carol knows that my favorite color is pink!  She has sent me several beautiful birthday cards in pink and I would NEVER get tired of seeing her pretty pink cards.  The above card is just perfection, Carol.  Thank you so much.

Carol, drove me to her favorite stamp store which has now become my favorite stamp store.  I also had the privilege of stamping with Carol several times.  She blows me away with her creativity.  The cards on her blog are lovely but even more so in person.  (she's fun too!)
The next lovely card that I received in my mailbox is from Sue.  Sue is a/k/a  IrishGreenSue at Split coast stampers.  Sue doesn't have a blog, but here is her wonderful gallery at Split Coast

I had the privilege of meeting Sue in person two times at a stamp show.

The next card is from the very kind and creative Darnell.  This is the link to Darnell's blog.
Darnell's blog not only has beautiful creative cards and projects on her blog...it's so much fun to read her stories.  I always leave her blog with a smile on my face.  The above beautiful card also brought a smile to my face.  Thank you so much, Darnell,  for brightening up my day.
Okay,  Trust me this Choc crumb cheese cake with whipped cream tastes a lot better than the pic
I took.  It may also  be the fact that I couldn't wait to try a bite before I took a pic!

Indulge on your birthday...order dessert first!

Hubby asked me what I wanted to do today.  I told him go to a craft store!  I'm sure he didn't expect me to say anything else.  He took me to my favorite craft store.  (the one that Carol above first took me to)  I had a blast there!  Finding some new goodies and also meeting several ladies there (They were having a get together in the stores craft workshop area)  Some of them were members of  My favorite craft forum (Split Coast Stampers)  So we got to exchange blog addresses, etc.   It is so nice to meet people in person.  (Extra special when they enjoy crafting as much I do!)
It definitely made my day!  Thank you again, Ladies,(If you get to read this)  for letting me crash your party for a few minutes.

Would you believe, Jim also took me to two more craft stores after that.  What a guy!  He gets a gold star today!  It would have been three but I think I missed the closing of the other store by just a few minutes.

Thank you for visiting my blog today,
Blessings,
Jill

May just zipped by...

May really did zip by...It's been so long since I've posted a card...I sure hope I remember how to post!  smile.

Inside of card...stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs
My Iris folding patterns came from a book that I purchased.  460 Iris Folded Cards to Make
By Maruscha Gaasenbeek and Tine Beauveser
This cute card is a card that I received in the mail more than a month ago, and I am just
now getting around to post it.  It was made for me by Lesley...  I don't think Lesley has a blog
but she has a fabulous gallery at Split Coast Stampers...

Thank you Lesley...

Twisted Sister challenge... Corner bookmark

The challenge this week for the twisted Sisters  was given by Sylvia. We were to make a corner bookmark. I like this idea for a bookmark.  I made some before and had to make one for me. I like the way that they really do stay put on the page.  The other bookmarks sometimes slip out of the book these don't!
I used the tutorial that I found at Split Coast stampers.

The above card was made for me by the wonderfully talented crafter, Darnell.
Darnell did NOT send me a crooked card...LOL!  It's my terrible photography!
After I took this card my batteries in my camera died and I would have had to wait till my
rechargeable batteries were ready again for me to use.  I didn't feel like waiting.
That's my story and I am sticking to it!  (but it really is the truth!  smile...

Thank you Darnell, your card is beautiful, and the candle buttons are adorable,
but when I showed them to my hubby...his comment was...."There's not enough candles"!!!
Can you imagine!!!!  I wouldn't want to start a fire anyway if they put all of the needed
candles on my cake!  Yikes.

Danell's blog and her beautiful cards can be found here...

Beautiful card, and a Honor that I received!

Yes, I received yet another Beautiful card in the mail...This one really sparkles with all the beautiful glitter, etc on it...My photography does not do this card justice.  Thank you so much Jan.
Jan's blog with all of her amazing work can be found here...http://cardsbyjankeen.blogspot.com/

I also received a wonderful honor...I can't tell you how surprised  I was when I logged into Split Coast Stampers forum and found out that they named me "Queen for a Day" this week.  I was glad that I was sitting down when I read that.  My heart was literately beating a mile a minute.

I told my hubby that I was made "Queen"  He asked me where my crown was...
I reminded him that at one time I had a tiara.  Does that count?

And boy am I ever dating myself.  Not only with wearing a tiara to my high school prom.
but wearing a net dress with plastic shoes.  If I look a bit stiff in the photo below...
It's because the net dress scratched and itched so bad at the seams...I also had a very
difficult time walking in those plastic shoes which cut into my feet and hurt so much...

So now I have given you an amazing card to look at...(Not made by me)

and your laugh for the day...
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Blessings,
Jill

I had a good day today...

This is the inside of a beautiful card I received from Sabrina....What a pleasant surprise...So Unexpected.  The card came all the way from Ireland.  I really like this technique.  It was on my "to do" list, and now after seeing Sabrina's beautiful card, I know I want to give it a try.  thank you so much Sabrina...
The above photo is the front of Sabrina's card...Really like how she did this flower.

Sabrina's beautiful Gallery of cards can be seen at Split Coast stampers...

This "morning Glory card my husband colored the image for me with copics.  the image came
from Sweet and Sassy Stamps.  I put the image on a Cuttlebugged embossing folder for the background (Textile folder) the sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy Stamps, and I added pearls, brads, and ribbon...

I had a nice day today, first getting Sabrina's beautiful card in the mail, and then my hubby took me shopping.  I bought a new dress (first one in ten years---maybe I shouldn't admit to that...LOL) then i went and had my ears re pierced.  I had my ears pierced so many years ago, and have not worn earrings for quite a while now, and when I would try to get some in my ears, I always struggled, so I thought maybe I should go and have them redone.  Way back, in the dark ages, when I had them done, they didn't have a gun to put in the earrings like they do now.  Pretty neat, but it still HURTS! Can you tell that I am a big chicken?

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, They're coming Tomorrow!   (sing in the tune of the song from Annie...LOL)

My contractor's are coming Tomorrow.  My craft room will finally start to get done.  Lots of work ahead for me...more packing, moving furniture, painting, etc.   then putting everything back together again,  But it should be fun this time...to have a newer looking room.  (and hopefully, more organized...I'm having more shelving put in).

Hope everyone is having a great week...
Blessings,
Jill

More beautiful cards that I have received in the mail

This Beautiful card is from Pat at Split Coast Stampers...Pat's gallery with many more of her beautiful cards can be found here..

This cute, adorable card came to me from a fellow teapotter...here is her blog with more of her lovely cards...

Card from Kelli, I purchased my first Stampin' Up stamp from Kelli, and then ....well the rest is history...this started my love for stamping about 3 1/2 years ago...

Okay, I admit it, I'm old...I can't remember if I have posted any of these before...so I am going to go ahead and post them all anyway. The are all so pretty, that if I did, they certainly would deserve a second look. As I said before, I am a very fortunate lady...

**********************************

Footnote...If you have read this far on this post...I have a question...I don't know what has happened with my blog...but for about a week now, I can no longer use spell check (I need it!!!!)

I can no longer use the text color, bold, or the quick link...It seems like the only button that

is working for me when I post is insert an image...Any ideas anyone, what could be causing this...
************

Me again, ignore above, my husband, who is NOT a blogger may have helped me to figure out my problem...(Thanks Carol for trying)

Thanks...Jill

More Birthday cards

Okay, I know my birthday was week's ago...

but I still received wonderful cards and gifts weeks after my birthday.

I have to say this was one of the most special birthday's I have had in a long time.

Right before I went on vacation, a surprise came in the mail for me...

and it was this beautiful box of cards...

I thought Kathy's cards looked lovely on her blog...

but In real life they are even more beautifully done.

and Kathy, they are done in my favorite color! Wow!

The Link to Kathy's blog should be here

Kathy made her cards using the One sheet wonder, which I hope the link to her post for the one sheet wonder is here

I have never tried making cards using the one sheet wonder, but with Kathy's great instructions on her blog. (and now I have great samples right in front of me) I definitely want to try it.

I can't thank you enough Kathy for making my day!

Yes, believe it or not another Birthday card

Yes, this very fortunate lady received yet another birthday card. This time it's from a friend I met through stamping, and Split Coast Stampers. I was telling Cathi what a wonderful birthday I had all week long, the only thing missing was a birthday cake. So what does Cathi bring to my house on Thursday night, Yes, you guessed it, CAKE! four delicious cupcakes...so we had a party!

My Mother's life long best friend, came and picked me up on Thursday afternoon and took me to lunch at a Tea room near my house, It is the one that my Mother would take me to every year for my birthday. My Mother's friend knew it was one of my Mother's favorite places, and wanted to take my Step-sister and I for lunch. The food is so good there. I didn't manage to get a picture of the front of the place, but I think that even with these two pictures you can get an idea of how nice the place is. It was a lovely spring time day.

Card from Kelli

Eventually, I will manage to get all my cards photographed and posted! I so enjoyed seeing all the beautiful home made cards that I received. Makes them all so special to me... Thank you, Kelli,..

Another lovely Birthday Card that I received

This is another lovely card that I received today...this one is from Jackie, from a card group that I belong to at Yahoo. Thank you Jackie it is just lovely. I love the Color combination that she used. Blue and PINK! My favorite color! Smile. She told me that the pretty punch is the Martha Stewart star punch around the page. Must look for that one it looks so neat on this card.

My birthday was a lovely day, I have more cards to post...Just too tired to do it right now. It was a very busy day, but I really enjoyed it.

Birthday card from Kris

I'm a very fortunate lady to have received all these beautiful cards this week,

and I have more to post...today's card came from Kris...who is on the Yahoo group I belong to...Card Camp. It was a real surprise...thank you Kris. When I first looked at the card, I got a bit scared. The post man had to deliver my card in the pouring down rain, and my card envelope was wet, and so was some of the card. Fortunately, the card dried and is still just lovely.

Card from Carol

Carol from this blog, gave me this beautiful card this past weekend...What a beautiful card! My photograph does NOT do it justice. Carol said she took a picture of it before she gave it to me, and she will be posting it on her blog later. I'm sure she will have a much better photo of this card! A photographer, I am NOT! Her card is made with the lattice technique which I believe can be found at Split coast stampers. The rose she embossed with Gold embossing. It is such fine detailed beautifully done embossing, I must find out how she did that! She punched out her beautiful vellum leaves, and did some detail work with a gold pen...Just lovely. Thank you so much, Carol. I had the pleasure of attending a Copic class with Carol this past Saturday, what a fun day.

Card I received from Sabrina

This is the card I recently found in my mailbox from Sabrina...You can see more of Sabrina's fabulous cards here This card was mailed to me all the way from Ireland! It's the first time that I have ever received mail from Ireland! Long way to come to my mailbox. Wish you could see her card in real life. The flower is glossy, (maybe she used glossy accents on it) and there's pretty micro beads for the center of the flower. Sabrina is a friend from the Splitcoast Forum.

Card I received from Stacie

This is the card I received recently from Stacie. Stacie is my Stampin' Up Demo. She makes the prettiest cards. Of course, when I saw the bird image she used for this card...I had to order this stamp...smile. I didn't get it yet...but I'm looking forward to using it when it comes.
