Three beautiful cards that I received...

Aren't these cards just lovely? The first one is from Patti, from the Crafty Card Creators group. Patti used her cuttlebug, some punches, and sponging....very nice. The card is so appreciated.
The second card is from Jennie, also a member of Crafty Card Creators group, Jennie's card had some lovely hand embossing, and and I also believe, "stamped" flowers, outlined beautifully with a gold pen. This card really helped to make my day.
The third Card is from ex-neighbor, Cherie. Cherie sent out change of A' dress cards...she borrowed one of my favorite rubber stamps to stamp the image, but I have never been able to cut out the image on the stamp as beautifully as Cherie.

3d cards

Haven't had a lot of time to make cards, and I had to take my supplies along to my Mother's house to work on them...so I was kind of limited with some of my card making...
(as to how many supplies I had to use...
The first card was made for my Mother to give as a thank you card to her Nurses at the Cancer clinic...
The second card is made from an image from Crafty Nikky
Third card is a Tri shutter card...but I don't think they scan very well. I think they look much better when you can take a photo, but I need to get the card in the mail for a friend of mine...So no time to wait for the "sunlight" tomorrow to take a pic.

WT241 Ways to use it Challenge

It's been a while since I have entered a challenge, but today I finally had a little bit of computer time so I entered a card into the The ways to use it challenge at Split Coast Stampers.

The card idea came from a book "Paper Quilts" It's folding circles. I like the design because it's a great way to use scrap pieces of paper.

I did get a couple of cards done, which I hope to scan in later today. I took some of my crafting stuff to my Mother's house and was able to do some there was she was napping. I haven't officially moved in with my Mother yet, but I do think it may be soon....

Update

Just posting a card I made ages ago that I don't think I've posted to my blog before...
It was obviously made back when I didn't even know how to scan a card...(thus the bad Picture)

I have another update...

My Mother 's health is to the stage where ...in the near future...

I will be moving in with her for a while,
and I will not have access to a computer...so therefore I will not be able to update my blog for a while or check for comments. So forgive me If I don't answer you right away...

If you need to contact me my email address is ribbon challenged at yahoo.com
(I'm putting the address in that way to hopefully avoid spam...)

I may not be able to answer you right away...

Thank you for looking at my blog and all for all the support that you have given me this past year...

I will try to update as I can...

Iris folded tree

So much of my blog is card making, and I started my card making after visiting the forum Circle of crafters....where I have been a member for almost 3 years. Right now the forum seems to be having a problem and made my virus protection go crazy...I'm not sure what the problem is, but I know I won't go onto the site until I'm sure the problem is fixed. Since so many of my links refer to the circle of crafters forum. I just wanted to put a caution on my blog. Don't want anyone to have computer problems. As I said, I have been a member of the forum for over 3 years and this is the first time I have had that problem....hopefully, it's a temporary glitch...Will give an update as I learn anything new in regard to this problem.

Edited to add, I was looking at some of my old posts, and realized that I never updated this post...all is now fine at this link...

Christmas Bell

This is a card I made for the Circle of Crafters Montly General Challenge...The theme for this month is "music" but, so far, I haven't been able to post it...the forum seems to be down at the moment. So I'll post it here first.

I used A Holly Berry Rubber stamp for the bell image, and I embossed it in white Embossing powder. I also embossed a button in gold for the bottom ringer.

Columbus day

I think I have posted this "ship" card before but it seemed appropriate for Columbus day, so I decided to re post...

The bottom three cards that I'm posting today, I made a while back, but I don't think I have posted them before.
I tried to make a card last night, but it ended up in file 13...(my trash can gets a lot of those)
Have a great week, everyone....Jill

I am so thankful for crafting these days...even though I'm having trouble creating much of anything. It's good therapy for me...

Inspired by a book

had a book give-away a while back and I won one of her books...Thank you, Becky...

I read the book, and then forgot to scan the book before I passed it on to my Mother, who passed it on to three of her neighbors in her apartment building...
anyway, she got the book back, and my Mother wants me to pass it on to my sister.
I thought the book "Sisterchicks in Sombreros" is an appropriate title to pass on to my sister.
I also decided to make a card to go along with the book, and I thought this little chick card, would be perfect. Inside it reads...To my "sisterchick" Thank you for all the nice things you do...
Thank you, Becky, WE ALL enjoyed the book!

Some quick 3d cards

One of my favorite crafting buddies, was able to come and craft with me tonight. As always, we really enjoyed ourselves...time goes so fast when you're having fun. I miss our crafting nights...since she has moved out of the neighborhood, we have NOT been able to get together as much... I actually got some cards finished...quick ones...but still something finished, I guess that counts.

Iris folding October Challenge card

I don't have a lot of time to make cards these days, so I thought I would post the card I made last year for the COC October Iris Folding challenge...to use a pink ribbon. I am posting it today for my Mother who is battling cancer right now.
The second card is for the COC October challenge this year, we were to make a card with a hat(s) on it.

Fall card, and some Fall flowers for you

The photos below were taken at a Garden Center we went to visit today

It has been so long since I last posted...I hope I remember how to do it...smile...
I'm posting a card, I think I've posted before on my blog, but it's very appropriate for fall,
so I thought I would repost it...along with the pictures that I took today...
We went took a trip to a flower shop that is not too far from us, but it's been a few years since we have been there to see their flower display. The Fall flowers are just awesome...so pretty. I thought you might enjoy seeing them...
