Rose card

 Card was made using stamps from KaiserCraft stamps. I colored the roses with copics, Popped them up with dimensionals,  used a die for the background. and added a ribbon.

It feels good to be back again...

Splitcoasst Christmas Challenge

 I made this card for the Christmas card challenge at Split Coast stampers.  For our February card...The challenge is to make a Christmas card with a candle (s) on the card.

It was a challenge for me...because, even though, I feel like I havea oodles of stamps...I could not find one stamp that would fit the challenge.  

This candle die is from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I used paper behind the window from Stampin' Up...My sentiment was cut using a die from Penny Black,  my Designer paper background was from American crafts, and my Windows shutters are from Kaisercraft...I used stickles for my candle flame.

Herringbone card

 This card was made using more Kaisercraft designer paper, and the Herringbone technique.

Is the one who first showed me how to do this technique.  I think I like it as much as she does.

It's great for using up scraps of paper.

I have all but one of my cards in the mail   (because I still have not made another trip to the post office).

And I made the decision to hand deliver my cards to the neighbor this year.   (Due to the high cost of postage).   At first I didn't know if it was the right decision, because the weather hasn't been too great, and most of my neighbors have not been home, and I couldn't just put them on their door for them to get wet or blow away. 

 Well I did manage to get a couple of them hand delivered.  I am so happy that I made that decision.  My quilt card was delieved to my quilting neighbor  this morning, and she inivited me into her craft room to see some of her quilts.  (and she gave me a bag of  her handmade cookies!  They are so good!)

I delieverd another card to a neighbor and guess what?  I got another bag of home made cookies.

I think I  am definitely going to try to hand deliver more hand made cards  next year!  Smile!

poinsettia card

Hubby and I finally went out to do some Christmas shopping...

When we returned home we found a surprise on our front porch...thhis lovely big pot of Poinsettia blooms that you see in the picture below.  What a lovely thing for our neighbors to do.

I had a different Christmas card in mind for them, but when I saw the pretty flowers....

I quick made a card with a poinsettia flower on it.

Floating strips #2

 I made this card using a technique from SplitCoast Stampers

Called Floating strips.  This is the second card I made using this technique.

It's a technique I like because it makes a quick and easy card, and I can use up some of my scraps.  My paper is from Kaisercraft (Wonderland) and the die I used for the trees was sent to me by Splitcoast friend, Joan, AkA Ponygirl2.

The floating strips are on a piece of acetate.

Kaisercraft tri shutter polka dot card

 I made three more  Tri shuttercards using my Kaisercraft paper.  I thought this one would be the one that I would like the least.  (But I think I like this one the best)  The cards are difficult to photograph.

Two more to upload, but I think I am going to try and post the others tomorrow.

I am getting tired of making Christmas cards, but I want to get them done and in the mail.

So I will try to keep on going...  (anyone else feel the way I do?)

More Kaiser craft Christmas cards

 As you can see two years ago...  I bought a lot of Keisercraft paper.  I think it caught my eye because of all the PINK papers they had for Christmas.  I made a lot of cards back then using it.   But, obviously, I had not used all of it.  I have made so many cards these last few weeks using it.  I think I counted 17 cards so far using that paper.  I hope to use it all!  Don't know if that would be possible.  I got tired of using it 2 years ago making lots of cards with it.   Just think I thought I would never get tired of seeing PINK!

The above card I fussy cut out two ornaments from the paper, and I fussy cut the star.  I taped ribbon accross the front for the background, and added a sticker for the ornament chains and popped up my ornaments with dimensionals.

Kaiser craft ornament

 Another Christmas card I made using Kaisercraft paper.  I am starting to feel like I'm making progress on my Christmas cards.  I have at least half my cards made.  This week I hope to get some in the mail.

This card was made by taping down ribbon in the background, and fussy cutting an ornament and adding a sticker strip for my ornament chain.

Blogger question.   Yesterday I went to look at my comments that I needed to post.  After doing so...I did something I haven't done for a while.  Look at my SPAM comments.   I do remember to check it from time to time...but usually there was nothing there.  This time there were many comments in Spam.  I was surprised at how many.  (keep in mind again, that I haven't checked that feature in a while).

A lot of the comments in the spam section  were comments made by my blogger friends.  One as long ago as a month ago.  I checked all the commets and my post, and I couldn't see any reason that they should have been  in spam.   (with one exception...that was definitely spam which I won't mention that one.  It got deleted!

So why I'm saying this...it's a puzzle to me,  and I have now published those older comments.   So if any of you have wondered from time to time why I didn't publish your comments that is why.

Kaisercraft Christmas

 Another Christmas card done.  I just posted this one at Split coast.  In my description I mentioned that some of the Christmas cards that I have made have seemed to take me forever...like the one that I spent 4 hours in making the card.   This card I obvioulsy did NOT spend 4 hours making it.  ( But I still like the way it turned out).  I used Kaisercrat sparkle designer paper.  I added a ribbon, and fussy cut out the ornament, and added a sticker for the chain.  And the card was done.

On to making more cards...

All is Calm

 I purchased a pack of Kaisercraft paper two years ago, and made many cards using it then.

I still have a bunch of that paper left so I made a new bunch of cards using that paper.

I know my card is crooked but I have already given that card away so I couldn't take another pic.  (teach me to check my photos after I take them)

I'm still working on my Christmas cards and I feel like I am making a dent with my cards...but I still have a ways to go.   How is your Christmas card list going?

Floating Strips

 Thank you everyone for the nice comments about my Altered Treasure book... 

I have more pages I would like to share later on.  I was posting those pages to give me some time to get some more cards completed for Christmas.

I fianlly did get to make some cards, the above card was made using a tutrorial from Spilt Coast Stampers.   The link to that tutorial can be found here...

Yesterday, Hubby took me to a craft store.  It's been a while since I have  been to one.  You probably would not believe what I purchased.   One pack of card stock, a few specialityn stickers,   and the rest was GLUE!  I think I spent about $40.00 just buying glue.  

My above card has 5 different glues in it.  I started laying down my strips on the acetate with liquid glue which she recommened to use.  I didn't like the liquid glue

so I used my tear tape instead.  I then adhered my deer with tiny glue dots,  
The whole acetate stheet with froam glue strips and the inside sentiment was attached to the card using a glue tape runner.

Working with peel offs

 I made this card using peel offs.  The hat was a peel off from Elizabeth Designs.  I colored the hat with copics and cut it out. The designer  paper is from Kaisercraft!  This was a quick and easy card to make..

My scraps were from Kaisercraft paper.  My sentiment is also from Kaisercraft paper.

Iris folded Sailboat

I posted an Iris folding card to my blog yesterday!  I had mentioned that it was a card I made about Eleven years ago.  I have been making Iris folding cards even longer than that.  In fact, I think it was one of the first card techniques I tried.  I have made dozens of cards using this technique.

I found out this weekend how rusty I am at some of my card making.  This card took me way too long to make.  I definitely need more practice again. 

 The card was made using a pattern from a book I purchased... "460 Iris folded Cards to make.  The complete Iris folding Compendium."  (so far, I think I've only about 20 card patterns that are in that book...smile)

I used Kaisercraft paper, and a die from Elizabeth crafts designs for my sentiment!

Kaiser Craft card

To take a break from making Christmas cards...I grabbed one of my favorite papers...Kaiser Craft and made a needed Birthday card.  My Christmas cards are mostly finished and mostly in the mail.  (Still need some addresses).  This year it was a record for me to get my cards done so early and have them in the mail so early.  However, My tree is not up yet...  (which takes me about an hour at the very most to put up)  It's just a tiny tree which already has the lights on it,  and NO Christmas shopping done yet.  Since my family is kind of small and I mostly give gift cards it won't take too long to finish my shopping.   Hope everything is going smoothly for the rest of you.

Bridge card

This is my first try at making a bridge card.  My card looks crooked but I beleive in real life it's straight.  I took a crooked picture of my card!  (sure isn't the first time that I have done that!)

I used a die from Impression Obsession for the trees.  My designer paper is from Kaisercraft.

and I admit, It's different!  Don't know what else to say about it...I tried to do something different with this card...Did a lot of fussy cutting with the designer paper and this was the result!
