MMTPT131 Card for Shari

I made this card for this week's teapot Tuesday, We were to put Cherries on our card.

This card is being mailed to Shari, who has breast cancer. Please keep Shari in your

thoughts and prayers.

I made this card using Shrink art...I punched circles out of shrink art and colored them

with copics. My husband came up with the idea for the stems. I was feeling frustrated

because I couldn't figure out what to use for the stems...nothing was working for me,

and then he suggested using the ties from bread wrappers. The bread wrapper ties worked

beautifully for this card. He then suggested I put slits in my white embossed background

and put the bread wrappers through there, and then cover the slits with my silk leaves.

My background was hand embossed with a "Carrie" stencil using a light box.

I also glue a striped ribbon underneath the panel to use as a frame.

gift cards

These are small gift cards that I made for a challenge for a card group at Yahoo.
At "Card Camp" We were to make small cards. I don't usually make cards this
small, and I'm not sure what this size card is called, but my size turned out to be
approximately 2 1/4" by 4 1/4 inches. The stamps I used are from Stampin' Up.
I don't know the name, the stamps were a gift to me, given to me without the
name on the box. I colored the cards with Copics (which I am just learning to
use, but I have to admit, "I like Copics!"

More 3-D cards

I told you in the last post that the "Snow" was helping me to get cards done...smile.

And Yes, the snow is still coming down as I am typing this.

I'm not sure where I found these 3D images either, I used to write the source down

but these were cut out so long ago, I lost the list. My hat card was put on a cuttlebug

background (textile folder) My Water Lily was put on another cuttlebug background

(I used the pebble embossing folder for that one) The water Lily card reminds me of

Longwood Gardens.

3d cards

It's been a while since I did a whole bunch of 3d cards...These snowy days have finally

given me some time to sit down and make cards...

The problem is that I printed off some of these sheets years ago, made some of them

into the 3d image then just put them aside and never put them on a card...

so I don't remember where I found them or who they are from...

Another card for Teapot Tuesday, This week our cards are going to a policemanwho was injured on the job. We were to make a masculine card for him.

This is the first time I am using this stamp by Stampin' Up, "Nature Silhouettes"

I sponged the background for this card using Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

Birthday Card for my Son-in-Law

This card was not my original idea, I found the idea in my Magazine subscription that my husband bought for me as my Christmas present. My CraftMaker Magazine. I pretty much made the card from their layout and idea, but used a different designer paper.

New Challenge card

For a card forum that I am on at Yahoo "Card Camp" We were to make a card using a Rubber stamp more than once.

This the card that I made for that challenge. I used my snowflake rubber stamp many times.I originally wanted to make this card for my son-in-law for his January birthday, but I thinkI have to try again. This card ended up being a bit too "girlie" for him...smile.
