I think I am finally done making Valentine cards,

Most of these cards were made using images from Paper Wishes.   The card at the top the flowers were done with a 3-D sheet that I had printed out and put together a long time ago.  It just had not made it to a card base till now.

I've been trying to, endlessly, clean and purge my craft room.  I've also been trying to use designer papers that have been a around for a while, and use things from my "snippets" box.  I have made up my mind, as I go through the box,  If it has been around for a while, It either has to be used or thrown.

More Side step Cards

I'm still trying to add to my stash for next years Christmas cards.   And...as you can see...I'm still enjoying making side step cards.  My images are from Paper wishes.  My sentiments are made from rub ons.

The fact that it is snowing today makes me feel more like making Christmas cards.

Side step cards

This is one of my favorite card folds...
I know that not every one likes to "fussy" cut, but I do...I can't cut as much or as long as I used to...(without my wrist hurting)

The third card I think I got a little bit carried away....It looks much too cluttered...but I did still have fun making these cards..
I forgot to look for the link at Splitcoaststampers where they have a tutorial posted for these cards.   They give the dimensions for the card base.  The designer paper that I used came from PaperWishes....

Iris folding card

 The above card was made using a free pattern that I had found at the card forum "Circle of Crafters"  sadly that forum no longer exists.  I was on that forum for a number of years and that is where I learned how to do Iris Folding, Tea bag folding, and 3D cards.  
Those are the card techniques that I used when I first started making cards.  I still enjoy all those techniques...but don't use them as much anymore.

I used the last of the scrapbook designer paper that I purchased at Paper wishes  (the Hot of the press 12 pack called "Charming"  I managed to make 21 cards using it. (Down to tiny scraps of paper)

It was a good decision on my part to challenge myself that way.  Or I would never have made that
many cards to fill my almost empty stash box.

The pic below is some of the cards grouped together.  They are not all shown because some of them have been given out already.

pop up box card

I found making the basic box fairly easy.  Where I had a difficult time was trying to put my flowers inside the box.  This card was my second attempt...

Quilt Card

I made another card with the snippets left from the designer paper I purchased...Hot off the Press, 12 count paper pack (Charming)  I'm getting to the end of the cards to show you made with this designer paper pack
.
I think my next way to challenge myself...Is either to start with new paper...or start using all the rubber stamps I have that have not touched ink...(That would keep me busy for a long time).

I added vellum to stamp my sentiment using a stamp from North woods rubber stamps.  I heat embossed it with black embossing powder...added brads and a ribbon.

Inchies Card

I made this inchies card using scraps from my designer paper...I punched out the square tiles using Two punches...One from EK success, and the other one from paper shapers.
I die cut the hello sentiment Using a die from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Added a ribbon

Easel Card

Not sure how I feel about this card...I like Easel Cards...so I wanted to give this card fold another try...And it's done in my favorite color combo... and I'm still using up my designer paper that I purchased from Paper wishes...(Hot of the press, Charming paper pack)
I'm finally getting down to end of the paper...I only have three more cards to post.

I'm so glad I tried using it for inspiration.  After weeks of not being able to make a card...It, obviously, inspired me.

Inlay Card

I made this card using a tweezers to inlay the tiny pieces inside  the teapot.
I die cut out the Serendipity Teapot and put it on Sticker paper first for the pieces to adhere inside the pot.
I used an Our Daily Bread die to cut out the word Hello.  Added lace and a ribbon. My card base is made with more of my Hot of the press Designer paper (Charming)

Stencil Card

I made this card using a Dreamweaver Stencil for my Umbrella...
and yes, Again, some more of my same Designer paper...(that I used in my last couple of cards)!

I used my Spellbinder Grand Nestabilities round die for the frame...which I cut out of Stampin' Up Wood grain paper pack.  I added two stickers made by Jolee,   I cut a cloud out of a die by SweetNSassy.  I used a pre colored piece of vellum for my sand, and I colored some vellum with Tim Holtz Distress ink for the ocean in the background.

Vellum Card

I was trying to straighten up my craft room and get it more organized  (A Lost Cause)
As soon as I make another card...well, I think some of you may know what I am talking about...smile

While trying to straighten up things...I found a pack of vellum paper that I didn't know I still had.
So naturally, I had to try and make something using it.

My vellum was stamped with gold embossing powder, and then colored on the other side of the paper with copic pens.  I die cut the flower with a Spellbinder oval die cut.  Added  a strip of lace and a ribbon...

My stamp set is from SweetNSassy stamps...My paper was purchased from Paper Wishes...Hot off the press designer paper  Called Charming.

Twisted Pop Up Card

But I have seen it on the Internet as Pop and Twist...or
Twist and Pop..

I lost count as to how many I have made of these cards...I think this one makes number 8.

My card, again, was made using some of my Hot of the press designer paper, Charming.

I added some butterflies that I fussy cut out of designer paper (forgot to write down the name)
I used a Spellbinder die for the White trim inside the card.  I wanted it to look like a Trellis.  The die I used is called Crisscross.  I stamped my sentiment on the front of the card using  a stamp from SweetNSassy.

Folded Gift Card

The above card was made by folding one 12 x 12 sheet of designer paper... (into an A2 size card)

Again the paper is from Hot off the press...The paper's name is Charming

The inside of the card can be used for a gift card holder...

I used one of my doily dies for the center (a die that I can't locate at the moment)
Added a ribbon to close the gift card holder, and a button.

As I said in my last four posts...I'm trying to challenge myself to use up all the designer paper in a 12 pack of double sided paper that I purchased.  through Paperwishes.  It's  "Hot off the Press" paper called "Charming"

The fold I used is called Double Dutch door.  I used a Spellbinder Nestabilities die for the oval and scalloped edge die....and just added a ribbon.

Card for a friend

Yes, another Pop and Twist card...and sometimes I see it called Twisted Pop Up card!
As I said before, I really do enjoy making these.  I've lost count I'm not sure is this is number 7 or the Eighth one that I have made so far.

I used scrapbook paper that I purchased from paper Wishes Website, (the Charming Pack) and then I went on their website and printed off the sample tags that you can print for free to do some of the embellishing of this card.  My cut out roses came from Kaisercraft!  My white center doily was made using a spellbinder die! sewed the button in the middle of the front of the card and added a ribbon.
My sentiment was stamped with a stamp from Sweet N Sassy.

Card for my Mother's friend!

This card is for a lady that had been my Mother's friend for over 60 years.  I think she misses my Mother almost as much as I do.  She did so much for my Mother, and I always try to make a special card for her each year.  She loves The Victorian look, so that's what I always try to achieve with my cards.

I again made a Twist and Pop card (this makes Number 7)
I used Paper Wishes Designer paper for my background.  I stamped my lady images using stamps from Grapic 45 and Rubbernecker stamps.  I die cut my lace using a die from Our Daily bread and my oval lace die is from MFTstamps (die-namics)  My sentiment was stamped with a stamp from Stampendous!  I paper pieced my stamped images.

Birthday Twist and Pop card

As I said in my last post...I am addicted to making these cards.  I'm finding them fun to make.
I used designer paper that I purchased through Paperwishes to cover my card.  I printed out one of their free sheets that they offer on line...to embellish the inside of my card.  The embellishments on the front of my card are from Kaisercraft.  I used a stamp made by Stampendous to stamp my Sentiment...(Birthday Wish)

Side Step card for a friend

I made this  card for a dear friend.  It's a side step card..

I used some paper from Paper Wishes and some Designer paper from Graphic 45, I added a bow,  cut some paper lace from a die to embellish the edge of the card.

Tuesday Card Making...

 I was trying to clean out my craft room  (a lost cause)  smile. 

 Because, I clean it and then just mess it up again.  

In the process of trying to do that...I found several cards that I had started but never finished.  So at least I managed to make unfinished cards into finished cards.

The above card was stamped in white versamark and then I water colored the image with my Stampin' Up aqua painter and Tim Holtz distress inks, added some glitter in the center, and a ribbon

 The above card is one I had tried making a while back but the card fell apart, and I never fixed it.  I didn't want to throw away the ballerina doll so I decided to try and remake her on a different background.    Don't know who makes the stamp  but the stamp reads 2003  (yes it has been around for a while...smile.  I didn't even start stamping until about 2007.  So the stamp itself probably sat for a while before I even tried to use it).
