Happy Father's Day

Now that I have given this card to my hubby...   I can post it!

The shed was made using an embossing folder from Hunkydory!

I tried to make it look somewhat like my hubby's shed in our yard!

The lawnmower is also made using a stamp from Hunkydory.

I think my hubby had a nice day visiting with our daughter.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Happy New Year

This card was made using some of the paper that hubby put under our Christmas tree this year.

My Favorite paper, Hunkydory!  It's from a Sheet called "All Dressed Up."

Tomorrow I hope to post the word that I have chosen for this year.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Hunkydory Christmas Village

This was a super easy card to make...Just needed my paper trimmer and some dimensionals.

I thought if I put anything else with this pretty paper.  I would take away the beauty of the paper.

Hunkydory Christmas Blessings

Another Hunkydory card...  This card was just assembling, adding brads, and using dimensionals to pop up the layers.

I think my hubby liked the fact that I'm using the paper he purchased for me and is buying some more to put under the Christmas tree for me...  (something to really look forward to)

Hunkydory Card

Last Christmas my hubby asked me for some ideas as to what he could buy me for Christmas.

I saw lots of beautiful Hunkydory papers on line, and asked him to buy me some of the papers and put them under tree, and I could make cards for next Christmas...

Well, I did use the paper he gave me and, so far, I have come up with 17 cards using that pretty paper.

On this card I just added some dimensionals, a star and a gem.

More Hunkydory cards

I made two more cards using the Hunkydory paper that my husband ordered for me for a Christmas present.

I really enjoy using this paper.  I think there papers are so elegant and pretty!

I gave up doing the VSN challenges at SplitCoast.  I like to paper craft because it usually relaxes me.  Having to make cards in a time limit...does not.  and right now my stress level is at the top and I don't need to add to it.  I do like to do challenges though, they are a great way to learn how to do new techniques.

Birthday card

I made this card for a blogging friend who is also a fellow Split Coast Stamper.

Now that she has told me that she recieved her card...I can post it.

The card was made using some more of the Hunkydory papers that I had.

I learned a lesson with this card.  Connie's card that she received would look a bit different because I had to try and cut down the top of the card abit.  It would NOT fit in my envelope, and I could not find any envelopes that I had that I could put it in.  The card was already going in the mail late.  So I did not want to take the time to try and make an envelope that it might fit in.

So now I know that I have to make sure I have an envelope that the card will fit it.  (Or modify my card from the get go).  smile

Hunkydory card

This card was made using Hunkydory paper called Fancy Florals!

This card was part of my Christmas present from my hubby.  The paper that is...   Hubby asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I showed him this paper that came along with a magazine for ideas on using it, and a matching stamp set.  He ordered it for me on line.

So far I have made 8 cards using it.

I made most of them this weekend...  It's cold outside and today it snowed so it was a pefect day to stay inside and make cards!!!

Card for spring

I made this card for the Twisted Sister Challenge at Split coast stampers.

The theme for this month's card was to make a card that would make you think of spring.

I am so ready for spring...(and some warmer weather)  so I was glad to see this challenge theme  that Jan asked us to do for March.

My card is a center fold card...and I used papers from Hunkydory to make the card  (Using Fancy Florals paper)

Pug card for Carrie

I made this quick card for a lady who, obviously, loves pugs.

She was a really good friend to my mother for over 60 years.  I just wanted to send a card

to let her know that I am thinking about her.   (and that  I miss us getting together)

The image is from a Hunkydory sheet that I purchased in one of my favorite craft stores.

Easel card

This card was made for a lady who was my Mother's best friend for over 60 years.
She made a promise to my Mother that she would take me and (My step sister)
for lunch every year on our birthday  (Our birthdays are only a week apart)
and for Christmas.

She has kept that promise to my Mother and me...which I am so grateful.
Not only do we get treated to a nice lunch each year.  We are also entertained by this wonderful lady that had been so special to my Mother.

Carrie loves pugs  (No she does not have one)  She has lots of cats instead!  Smile
but I think she would like to have one.

She was a little late taking us out to lunch this year because she lost her husband a few months ago, and, obviously, she had a lot to do after he passed away.
But she still found time for us.

My precolored image is from Hunkydory...
I cute out the sentiment with a dies from Sizzix (Tim Holtz  Thinlits)  I just added a brad.

Cuttlebug Hunkydory Card

I made this card using Coredinations paper for the background.  I ran it though my Cuttlebug, using an embossing folder (textile) and sanded it to bring out the blue underneath.  I added lace, and My Hunkydory Stickers.

Merry Monday Let It Snow

I made the above card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge.  This week's challenge is to create a card with snow.  You can find the challenge here...

http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2018/01/merry-monday-274-let-it-snow.html

I made my card using a die from Penny Black.   My Sentiment was stamped using a stamp from Stampin' Up, and I stamped the Snowman using a stamp from Hunkydory.
