I used some designer paper from Graphic 45, an embossing folder from SU, and a die from our Daily Bread for the border (beautiful borders) I could not find ribbon to match the pink on my card, so I used some embroidery floss to stitch in my border die. Added a button and some peel offs.
My second card is, YES, Another side step card. (it's my Therapy to make these cards) I made this one for a long time friend who was my very first neighbor after Jim and I were married and rented our first place. I was so blessed to have this friend, who had a daughter my daughter's age at the time---one year old) move in next door to me. She has definitely been a big part of my life's story.
images are from paper wishes. The friend quote was from a piece of vellum in my stash, and the Blessings sentiment was stamped using a stamp form SweetNSassy stamps. added a ribbon and stick on gems and butterfly.

Both are beautiful, Jill! I suspect card art is therapy for all of us, but you have made it further along in your therapy than I have, lol! In my therapy sessions, we haven't advanced to step cards yet!

I must say, though, I think I love this quilt card the best of all you've shared. (yes, I was a quilter in another life! well, I collected fabric. Didn't finish too many quilts though). This is a beautiful pattern, and a marvelous use of the papers. Love the stitching through the lacy doily mat. The Star design was always my favorite quilt pattern and the colors you've chosen are so feminine & pretty. Love the embossing texture on the star points too. TFS & Hugs.

A great blog and wonderful cards. I went sight seeing on your blog....Could you tell me which Spellbinders die you used for the 03/05 post so you could weave the ribbon. Lovely!!! You don't look ribbon challenged to me. ;-)
