My daughter loves to sew and make quilts, although, these days she doesn't seem to find much time for sewing. She has a featherweight sewing machine that had been her grandmother's and this reminded me of her sewing machine.
Today was a busy day for me, I invited four of my former classmates to come to my house for dinner. Hubby cooked for me, (I know how fortunate I am) but I was still busy getting the house ready, setting the table, making dessert, etc.) They seemed to have a good time, because everyone stayed a bit longer than I thought they might..but that was a good thing. It was a lot of fun...catching up, laughing about the old days, and looking at old pics, etc. I had my camera all ready to take pics, and got so busy I forgot all about taking pictures.

This is an amazing sewing card - just the right mix of everything. What a perfect card for someone who loves sewing (or a sewing groupie like me). Happy Birthday to your daughter. What a fun idea to invite over old classmates. Mine would have to fly from New Mexico to Alabama - LOL. Love your card. Hugz!

ReplyDeleteI haven't done any sewing in years. I used to make all my own dresses, blouses and skirts, as well as pillows, quilts, curtains, and all sorts of things for the house.
I think card making has taken over my life, and I can't stop, but it was fun seeing this card and thinking about sewing! :-)
I'm sure your daughter loved this card! Oddly enough, I had my sewing machine out today and made myself a pair of fleece foot warmers! :)
