The above card was made from a 3d kit, I purchased last week at the CKC Scrapbook Convention that I attended ...I made this card to give to my step-brother as a sympathy card for the loss of his mother (My Stepmother) She had been in a nursing home for a long time and on Hospice for over a year. Even though we knew her time would be soon it still came as a shock to us. Please keep our family in prayer this week for the funeral...thank you...
This card and the card below this one were also made with 3d sheets that I purchased at the CKS Convention. I like to do rubber stamping, but I still think 3d cards,( also sometimes called paper tole cards)are my favorite. I switched to rubber stamped cards thinking my postage would be less...but even with stamped cards, I find myself making lots of layers, so I don't think I have saved that much on postage by rubber stamping instead....smileMy cards were both make using cuttlebug backgrounds, Stampin' Up, and October Afternoon Designer paper...added pop dots, lace, and ribbon.

These are all beautiful Jill, but I'm really drawn to the sympathy card with those pretty flowers! I didn't know your step-mother had passed on, so please know that I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry :(

ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss, Jill. These are awesome! Wasn't that convention the hottest ever? I was there for one hour and had enough. Can't wait until it is moved to Lancaster next year.
