This card was made using a technique I found on Split coast Stampers. It's called black out embossing. I made a card using this technique before...but I wasn't happy with it. So I gave it another try.
It's made using a 3-d embossing folder. Instead of coloring on the embossed side of the paper... You use the debossed side of the paper. then color inside the images and then cover the whole card with black ink.
Hope everyone visiting here is having a great day.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Blessings,
Jill

Your card is lovely! I shared this technique on my blog today, too. Great minds think alike. ha ha
ReplyDeleteThis technique is on my to try list and I love the folder you used too. Great colors for the flowers and leaves. They really pop with the blackout technique.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very pretty card and a technique I never tried....yet!
ReplyDeletethis is a fabulous technique, jill, and a stunning card!!

Hi Jill! This card is gorgeous! What did you use to color? Pencils? Chalks? I've never tried that technique or even seen it done before. I also remember the day we all got together and made cards for OWH. We made a lot!!! I haven't found another organization like that since they folded. It was such a great day, thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job with the technique, I am not sure I have a 3D folder that isn't just a design, not an image, may have to do some shopping :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jill
ReplyDeleteA great card .. .. .. this has been on my "techniques to try list" for quite a while (rather a lot on that list actually LOL!!).
You have used a beautiful embossing folder.
Apologies for being a stranger .. .. .. life has been super busy.
I hope that all is well with you.
Love Jules xx
