Yes, another floating strips card. This is still one of my favorite techniques to make a card. It's quick and easy and a good way to use up scraps. You can find the instructions at Split Coast stampers in their tutorial section under floating strips.
I made the card even quick because I used some stickers for my balloon and cake. (still trying to use up some of my stickers.
I have mentioned before that I love to read. The above book is by a new author to me...Robin Lee Hatcher, I really enjoyed reading this book, and I put it aside to read a second time at a later date and ordered some more books by her... (It's a Christian Fiction Romance book
Yes, I realize that the above picture is blurry, but I have already spent too much time on the computer...so I decided to just post it anyway.
Two of my crafting buddies, Who I used to make cards with...They're are just too busy to get together anymore...but they did come to my house and threw a little surprise party for hubbly and I for our Last Anniversary. They also brought a special gift for me...a kit to do a Diamond Dotz bookmark. I thought it was fun.... but I can't picture myself getting into as much as they have. They have done some fabulous work ... Picture for on their walls, etc. (Everything they do is fabulous work.
On a personal note. I went for a two hour test yesterday for my pesty vertigo (That doesn't want to go away) Please say some prayers for me/send good thoughts for good news.
I have an appointment with the doctor to go over over the results of the test after I get my blood work done.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.
Blessings,
Jill

I'm also intriqued by the floating strips cards. I haven't made one yet, but it's on my list to try. I just finished reading a book about the yellow fever epidemic in Philadelphia in 1793. It was very interesting and, although it was pretty much confined to Philadelphia, there were a lot of comparisons to the COVID pandemic. Here's hoping and praying for a good outcome from your vertigo test.
ReplyDeletePraying for you right now.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
That's a great way to use scraps of paper to create a fun birthday card. I love the little tag too and a friend of mine sent me 2 diamond dots kits and they are addicting! One is finished but unframed, while the other hasn't been opened yet. Sending prayers for answers to your vertigo issues. I can't imagine how you deal with it all the time, but hang in there. God answers prayers.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and creative card lovely colors and design. ♥
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute, I still haven't tried this yet! The papers go perfect with your stickers.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute bookmark, I have only done small ones so far of the dotz, but hubby recently bought me some to make cards and I have not tried them yet, I should break them out and at least get them started :)
I pray you get good news on your vertigo, my doctor sent me to Physical Therapy for mine and it didn't actually help me but it has helped a lot of people.
This is a super floating card. I do hope you get answers for your vertigo issues. I love reading too and that author is not one i have come across either. Take care. hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Praying for positive outcomes, albeit belatedly xoxo
