Anniversary Card

I made this card for my in-laws 4oth wedding Anniversary!

I realize I have used that 3-D flower bouquet many times...but it's a favorite of mine.  I was able to use it on cards for many different occasions.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Anniversary card

This weekend is our Wedding Anniversary, as many of you reading my blog may already know...because hubby has posted it on his blog many times...smile...

Since my hubby likes to cook (lucky me)  I thought that this card would be perfect for him.  The card was made using fabric made by Loralie Designs.  I fussy cut around the image, and added it to background paper made by Graphic 45.  the sentiment is computer generated,

This card was also made for the Twisted Sister challenge at split coast stampers...Irishgreensue, wanted us to make a card using fabric and add a button.

Anniversary Card..

 Click picture to enlarge

I made this Anniversary card to add to my stash!  I purchased a book "Card Sketches for Paper Crafters."  And I cased a card in the book that was made by Julia Stainton...  Her Blog can be found here...  http://juliastainton.com/blog/

I  used Stampin' Up Crumb Cake for the card base...
I heat embossed a background stamp with Wow embossing powder...I used Stampin' UP's background stamp "Bella Toile, My doily embellishment was made using a die from Cheery Lynn dies.
My flower is from Recollections, I used peel offs for my sentiment, and added, twine and leaves.

the memories of yesterday,
And the hopes of Tomorrow."

The Celebration Continues...

The Celebrations continue...for the couple who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary, and for me...

The above card I made for my sister to give to a friend of hers who is celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary.  I struggled to get this card done in time, she was picking me up today to go to lunch.  My Mother's best friend was taking us out to lunch to celebrate our birthdays (which were last month)  This was my fourth outing to celebrate my birthday!

When my sister arrived at my home, I was still putting the above card together, so she actually watched me glue on the flowers, etc.  So I never had the time to take a photograph of this card, I just scanned it in to my computer.  Its' another box card...(Yes, I know I make a lot of these, but they are liked because they are a nice card to put money or gift cards inside.  I used my Anna Griffin rose embossing folder, and Spellbinder dies (Decorative Labels Eight) Prima flower, and a die from Memory box.  Whimsy Circle...

Up until a few days ago, I only had two Memory box dies...then to my great surprise I won these lovely Stencils and dies from commenting on Bibiana's Blog. Here is a link to her fabulous blog...
http://stampingwithbibiana.blogspot.com/

This happened about the time of my birthday, so I felt like they were another birthday present when they showed up in my mailbox.  Aren't they pretty?  I've been playing with them but I haven't had time to complete a card yet...

Anniversary Card

This is an anniversary card I made for a friend.  The card I had in mind...and the card I ended up with look nothing alike...smile.  This card is for a 50th Wedding Anniversary, I will put the sentiment inside.  I am so late with this card...that I will have to be happy with it so I can get a card in the mail.
I used my stampin' Up bird punch, and embossed my birds with an Anna Griffin embossing folder so I could give my birds texture, I used peel offs to decorate and stick on beads to decorate the top of the bird cage, and for the bird's eyes.  My designer paper is from Stampin' Up.

Ruby Anniversary

First, before I show you my card...I wanted to say thank you to all of you who commented on my Aunt's first cards.  I showed her all of the comments, and let me tell you...YOU MADE HER DAY!  She was so surprised to receive all those nice comments, and she wanted me to thank everyone.
I made this card for a friend's 40th Anniversary.  I used an image from Digital two for Tuesday, that my hubby colored for me with copics.  I used some of my new toys I recently purchased at the stamp show I attended.  I used my Cheery Lynn die for the background (A2 frame die FRM114) and my corner die is from Marianne designs, Craftables, My background paper is a gift from Grace      .http://th-ink-ingofyou.blogspot.com/..   thank you grace.

I need a vacation!

I need a vacation!  Actually, we just returned from being five days away from home...so now I need a vacation from my vacation.  We had a nice time but we are exhausted!

I have lots of vacation pics...
Here's the first two...The top one is the gift that the Inn Keeper made for us.  She took 50 pennies and put it into a shadow box for us.  The pennies are in date order from the first penny being the date that we were married until this years penny.  On the back there is a pocket with a journaling page where we are to write something from  each year that we are married...Boy will I have to put my thinking cap on with that one.

The second pic is the gift from our daughter.  She really surprised us with a beautifully done photo album with photos that some I have never seen before, and never knew they even exsisted.  Alot of work went into that gift.

Our daughter and son in law joined us on our vacation.  We have not been on vacation with our daughter since she was in grade school.  So that was a real treat to have her with us.

I have a lot of catching up to do...at home...and on my blog, and on visiting other people's blogs...
Which I will try to do this week...

Thank you for visiting my blog...
Blessings,
Jill

Strange Anniversary Card

The first card that I posted is for my hubby for our Anniversary.  I know very strange card to give to a hubby...but Jim knows that as a child my favorite book was Cinderella, my favorite Walt Disney Movie was Cinderella, and even after my daughter was married she bought me the DVD of Cinderella...she said it was for me to watch with my granddaughter...smile.

The inside of the card will read...I found my Prince Charming...YOU!!!

Both cards are made from 3d images I printed a very long time ago...
 *************************************************************************

I want to thank everyone for the nice Anniversary wishes...It has been a very special time for us...I can't believe so many years have flown by.

Us, 50 years ago, about a month before we were married
Since I don't have a wedding pic...I use this instead...  No we're not a 100 years old...LOL
and I was a teenage bride...I only feel like I'm a 100 years old...smile

**************************************************************

We were so honored by our two crafty friends having a special Anniversary dinner for us...Now
another friend wants to have one for us.

She called and told me she is making a special gift for us...but she needed my help.  She wanted a wedding photo of us.  Well, that's a problem we don't have one.  (I think she is making a shadow box...just a guess...at least that what it sounded like...)

We eloped so we don't have a wedding photo.  I have to be honest, and tell you that is the biggest regret of my life.  (not the eloping part...not having a photo...LOL)   It is the one thing that I wish I could go back and do over.  Just have a photo of our wedding day.

So because of that request....I have spent a good part of the day looking at old photos.  (getting more depressed by the moment)---(because some of them are in those old magnetic photo albums)
anyone remember those?  The problem with those are that they are NOT acid free, and I can see that some of photos are getting ruined...so I think instead of card making for a while.  I will have start working on old photo albums instead.  But I will probably have to still do a card once in while...It's my therapy...LOL...

Hope you having a great week...
and thank you for stopping by my blog...

Blessings,
Jill

I'm a very fortunate lady...

My two weekly crafting buddies...surprised hubby and I with making us a very special dinner for our Anniversary.  They went all out...pretty tablecloth on the table (my favorite color Pink)  Lit candles and Cherie used her best dishes...we had what seemed like a $100.00 a plate dinner.  She made us appetizers, home made soup., our entree, and dessert.
They made place cards, and special keepsake napkin rings, and presented me with flowers.  (because I didn't have any on my wedding day.  They were my favorite flower...pink roses.
The gift that they made for us, was an explosion box.  This is the outside of the box.
And this is the inside of the box, (My pictures aren't the best and does not do this justice!)  They told me that it took them about two weeks to make this.  I definitely believe them, so many neat details, with the rose arbor and all the pockets, with tags to put photos and journaling on.  I believe it was made with all Stampin' Up supplies.

These two special people, Cherie

And Kathi

are two very creative and giving people.  I am so blessed to have them in my life!

And I know that they will be reading this...so
I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart...
they will never know how much this meant to me...

Quick card

Super quick card! I feel like I cheated!  I used a Jolee's sticker that I purchased on Sale.  I am late with this card, and the first card I tried to make....ended up in the trash.  I didn't want to be any later with this card then I already am...so I wanted to make a quick one.

Anniversary/Wedding cards

Click on pics to enlarge

I made these two cards which I think could work for either Wedding/or Anniversary cards!  My daughter and son-in-law have an Anniversary coming up, and I'm trying to figure out a card for them.  I've made several and, so far, I'm not sure which one I'm going to use.
The first card is a pyramid card (the image was made up years ago...so I'm not sure where I found it. For the background I used a Stampin' Up Embossing folder (Textured Impressions Frames Tulips)Added a bow (made with bow easy)  and some line peel offs around the image.
Second card the Image came from   http://www.jakheath-designs.blogspot.com/
Added some die cut paper lace, a ribbon, and a charm.

Anniversary Card

I made this anniversary card for a friend.  It's a bit late (I seem to do everything late these days)
but I didn't want this milestone anniversary to totally pass me by..so I gave it a try.  This is actually my third try at making a card for their Anniversary.  I'm still not completely happy with it, but I hope that they like it.

I used a Dreamweaver stencil to make the heart.  I paste embossed the heart with Glossy White embossing paste, I let the paste dry and I then put the stencil back over the heart and used a VersaMark watermark stamp pad over the heart, and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
I used a Stampin' Up corner punch on my heart image, and added a pearl.  I then popped up the heart with Stampin' Up dimensionals, and put it on a gold card stock cut out with a Spellbinder die (Marvelous Squares)  On my back panels I used a die by Heartfelt Creations (Decorative Lace Border)
My front panel was dry embossed with an embossing folder by Stampin' up (Lattice)  I then added ribbon (Stampin' Up) and a flower cut out with another Spellbinder die Anemone Flower Topper)
I also added a gold flower and a brad, and the number 50.

My card fold is a center Step.

Thank you for visiting today...

Jill

Our Anniversary dinner

It's a rainy kind of day today where I live, so I am spending the day trying to make cards...which, so far, haven't gone too well...So I needed a break, so I thought I might try and post some photos of our anniversary dinner. (The Restaurant gave me permission to take photos)

I have been blogging for a number of years and I STILL DON'T know how to do it...
I guess one of these days I need to sit down and play more and try and figure out what I am doing...smile...

I posted some pics from our dinner, and they are not in the order I intended...but that's okay, don't we want to start with dessert first anyway?

I don't usually eat dessert when I go out to eat, but being that it was our Anniversary, I wanted to treat myself. I had a hard time trying to make up my mind between the peach tart, or the Chocolate banana cream pie. I finally decided to take a piece of the chocolate banana cream pie home with me. I was going to just eat half, and save the other half for the following day. NO, that did not happen. I sat down to eat the pie, and ate the whole piece in one sitting. It was too good to stop.
I enjoyed watching my husband trying to eat his appetizer with chop sticks...(he needs more practice. smile...
We were the very first ones to arrive when the restaurant opened so it was great to take a pic of the room, and our table.

Thank you for the nice Anniversary wishes I received, it turned out to be a very nice day.

Blessings,
Jill
