Well It looks like I did remember how to post after all this time...so I decided to go ahead post again today...and finally post a card.
For Christmas this past year, I purchased some designer paper from Paper wishes. I purchased a 12 pack of paper for each of my weekly crafting buddies, and while I was at it. I purchased a 12 piece paper pack for me.
I challenged myself to see how long it would take me to use up the whole pack of paper, and to see how many different card folds I could make with this paper. So you are going to see a lot of the cards I have made lately USING THE SAME PAPER! Good thing I liked the paper...smile. It's paper wishes, Charming pack.
My card is was made using the tea bag folding technique. The Dahlia fold.
Thank you for visiting my blog today...
Blessings,
Jill

Another Dahlia Fold flower
I made another card using the tutorial found here...http://mynnettestechniquetuesday.blogspot.com/2013/05/dahlia-fold-flowers-challenge.html
I actually made this card a few weeks ago, but haven't posted it till now...
Sorry, I have not been around lately. The heat and humidity was a bit much for me, and It was just too hot for me be in the room with the computer. I am a happy camper now because, as of two days ago, I have air conditioning again. There have been many years that I have been without any air conditioning, and I don't know how I made it through without it. All I know is I am very grateful now to have the A/C up and running again. So now it it time to play catch up. I will try and get back to posting and commenting.
Thank you for visiting my blog today...
Blessings,
Jill

MMTPT141, Teapot Tuesday
This is the card I did for this week's teapot Tuesday. This week we were to do our cards in either a car or guitar theme. I used a digi from Leigh Grady to make my Tri Shutter card. Forgive the awful picture. It does not show all the panels of my card. After 6 tries of trying to take a photo. Well, besides realizing that I am not a photographer, I realized that this was a good a photo as I was going to get.
My digi image was colored by my hubby,(with copics) and I 3d's the image (tole) and attached to a tri shutter frame and used Stampin' Up designer paper. I also used pop-dots, and stickers for the name TOM.

Teapot we were to use for our inspiration to make a card....This card is for another Teapot Tuesday challenge...this card will be mailed to a 15 year old girl named Alea...who had been hospitalized for a long time...Hopefully it will help to cheer her...
You can read about the challenge here...
I used Valita's pattern to make the dress, you can find the directions here...

Last Part of My Gift book for My friend
Note...In the pictures below
I have Vellum on my friend's face (which I will explain in another post)

On the pages below I put rubber stamping, and Tea bag folding, the dahlia fold
Sitting in front of a creek...I used to actually swim in...Yikes...Wouldn't do it today...but I had no where else to go swimming.

Look at thin I used to be...no wonder they called me Olive Oyl in school

I haven't been making as many cards, because I have been working on a gift book for a friend for her birthday which is in a few weeks. I can't believe I actually got a gift finished way ahead of time...My things are usually late, or working right up to the minute I need it...smile...This will probably have to be posted in two parts...lots of pages...

WT241 Ways to use it Challenge

It's been a while since I have entered a challenge, but today I finally had a little bit of computer time so I entered a card into the The ways to use it challenge at Split Coast Stampers.
The card idea came from a book "Paper Quilts" It's folding circles. I like the design because it's a great way to use scrap pieces of paper.
I did get a couple of cards done, which I hope to scan in later today. I took some of my crafting stuff to my Mother's house and was able to do some there was she was napping. I haven't officially moved in with my Mother yet, but I do think it may be soon....

Tea bag Folded card (Dahlia fold)

I enjoy doing tea bag folding, but I must admit I don't do it well...but I keep trying...
I found the instructions for this card here...
I entered the card in the tea bag folding challenge at..
It's very hot and HUMID today, and I don't have air-conditioning...so the humidity is making me feel a bit unwell today...so I'm not staying on the computer long right now...
Hope everyone has a good day...

Where does the time go?
What is your favorite Month of the year?

February is the shortest month, but to me MAY is the shortest month. It ALWAYS seems to just fly by. This month even more so, because we either had weather that was above normal, or below normal, or just lots of cloudy rainy days. So where was spring? I must have missed it? May is still my favorite month of the year.

A Mother's Love

Having trouble deciding what title I wanted to call this card. I made this card for my Mother to give as a New Baby card...I really like the image...
pyramid sheet made by Toby, I also used a teabag medallion I made using the fold from here....
I also used Vellum, and my cuttlebug for the corners on the medallion, and paper punch by Fiskars.
Below is a Utube video that was posted at Circle of crafters, It shows some excellent instructions on how to make a pyramid card.

He shall direct your paths

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct your paths." ~Proverbs 3 5-6
The teabag medallion that I put on this card was made for me by a friend, given to me in a swap. Thank you Marie. The picture is an old picture that I have had for many years, it reminded me of the many times I walked that road.

Hats

I wanted to post these cards for Hat day, which WAS on January 15th...I think I missed it!!! January was only the second day of my blog, and I was still trying to find my way around doing a blog (actually, I'm still trying to find my way around doing a blog...) One day at a time...
I made the gray hat, but the Medallion was made by an on line friend, Marie, who did a swap with me.
The second card was done using a 3D sheet by Nikky.
No one person can wear all the hats all the time.
It's snowing where I live, and after reading on several web sites that...
most of our body heat is lost from our head than other parts of our body...
You can be sure that, with the snow, I will be wearing my hat. (and I don't like to wear hats!
