I made this card for the Twisted Sister challenge at Split Coast Stampers...It was Sylvia's turn to come up with a challenge this week, and her challenge is to use paper piecing, paper piercing, and pearls on our cards. My card was stamped using a Rubbernecker stamp (child w bouquet) my husband colored my image for me with copics. I also have to confess that I purchased this stamp about a year ago and it's the first time it has seen ink. I have been trying to use the supplies I already have.
I paper pieced the dress. It's a technique that I enjoy doing. I think it's fun and easy to do,
If you have never tried using the paper piecing technique here is a tutorial from Split Coast stampers...
For my piercing I pierced around the oval that I cut out with a spellbinder die...
The link below is for paper piercing.
For the pearls, I just added two little pearls on her shoes.
I also scored some lines at the bottom of my card using a Martha Stewart scoring board.
The scallop was cut with a die from SweetNSassy stamps.
My Designer paper is from October Afternoon
and I added ribbon and prisma flowers.
