I Can't believe that it's a month after Christmas...and I still didn't post all
the beautiful Christmas cards that I received...

I received this beautiful elegant card from Leanne,  Thank you Leanne
Leanne's blog can be found here...
Leanne's cards do bring "sunshine"

This Amazing Card was made by Nancy...
Nancy's blog can be found here  http://whatsonmykitchencounter.blogspot.com/
I think Nancy's kitchen in the background looks pretty nice too.

The pretty Christmas card with the neat fold was made by Em
Em's blog can be found here...
And Em is very "Creative"
The above card was made by the amazing Darnell!  One visit to her blog and you will
agree that she is Amazing.  The Link to Darnell's blog can be found here

The above card was made by Sue.  It's so cute and I also like neat center fold.
Sue does not have a blog...but more of her amazing cards can be found at Split Coast Stampers
This Lovely Christmas card was made by Marie.
I met Marie on line many years ago at a card forum
and you can see that she knows that my favorite color
is pink...Thank you Marie

Thank you ladies for all the beautiful "Happy" mail I found in my mailbox...
And thank you for visiting my blog today,

Christmas cards that I received...part 2

I received this beautiful card from Heidi,  Heidi no longer has a blog...(I so miss Heidi's blog)  She makes the prettiest cards so I truly miss seeing her wonderful creations on her blog.  I first heard about Heidi...when I found Carol's blog...

Carol and Heidi started the blog together...but because Heidi had so many other things to keep her busy...(we ALL know what that's all about...) She had to give up blogging...but, obviously she is still creating...I love the calendars that she made for Carol a year or so ago.  Every calendar page was done using a different technique...those calendars should show up on the link below...

Thank you, Heidi, for thinking of me at Christmas.  It meant a lot to me...

The above card was made by Sylvia from Split Coast stampers.  In real life her beautiful card is so sparkly.  Love all the embossed glitter.   Sylvia does not have a blog...but she has a lovely gallery at Split coast stampers where she is known as Sillyfilly....

Thank you, Sylvia.

The above card was made for me by Stacie my Stampin' Up demo.  Stacie knows how much I like Shaker cards.  I really like this star design.
Thank you Stacie for sending "happy" mail to my mailbox.

The above card made "FAVORITES" at Split coast this week.  Absolutely made my day!
Thank you...

Well, it's still snowing here...so far, today, not too heavy, but not sure what tomorrow will bring.
They are calling for more snow!!

All I know, is that I am very thankful today, that my hubby was not injured.
He may get upset with me for telling you this...(he reads my blog)
but this morning he took one step out our door, hit our first step, and down he went!  slipped on the ice.  He tells me that only his pride was hurt.  Hopefully, no aches and pains
will show up tomorrow.   Many years ago, Jim slipped and broke his ankle in three places and was in a cast for over 10 weeks.  Neither of us will ever forget that time!  Don't want to
see a repeat of that.  Yikes!

It's a Month after Christmas...

It's a month after Christmas...
And I'm finally getting around to posting some of the cards that I received...

Isn't the above card beautiful?  A lot of detailed work went into this card.  The card was made for me by my crafting friend...Cherie....   Cherie's blog can be found here...

The  Lovely Snowflake card was done by the talented Marie.   If you look at Marie's blog you will see that Marie's favorite cards to make are Christmas cards, and I was a very fortunate lady to receive one of her cards...Her blog can be found here...

I like Marie's blog name

No!  You are not seeing double!  And I did NOT duplicate a card...the above card was made by my other weekly  (well almost weekly...Weather permitting)  card making friend.  Kathi.
Kathi and Cherie decided to make the same card this year.  If you look closely at the two cards you will see that they each did their cards slightly different.  Kathi's blog can be found here...

I almost didn't post both cards...but they are both such special friends I could not post just one of their cards.

I noticed that it's been a while since Kathi has updated her blog.   Trust me, she has made many beautiful card and crafting projects in the last year.

When I saw the above card in my mailbox...I was super surprised.  This was made by one of my longtime friends.  She was actually my very first co-worker when we both had our first job as teenagers.  That was a few years ago.   Actually, it was many years ago if I have to be honest.
I have been trying to get my friend Carol to craft with me for many years.   So I was pleasantly pleased to see her first HOME MADE Christmas card in my mail.  She has since agreed to come crafting with me.  But with family commitments and the nasty weather right now, it may have to wait but I know she will keep her promise when she can.  I can't wait...she is such an enjoyable person  that it is sure to be a fun time.
Carol does not have a blog or a computer.  (I sure wish she did...smile)

Because of  the storm that is supposed to be coming our way...
Hubby went to the store today to get some groceries and  fill up the car, etc. To prepare for the snow storm...

this is what he brought back from the store for me.
I confess, I am a Chocoholic!  and he just fueled my addiction...LOL.
and yes, while I am doing this post....I am munching on the candy bar.
(To give me energy to post of course!)

into four pieces with your bare hands--
and then eat just one of the pieces.
~Judith Viorst

I'm not very strong...I had to eat more than one piece!!!!

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
Blessings,
Jill

I have more beautiful cards that I received to post next time.

Another Christmas card

I made the above card for this week's Challenge at Split Coast Stampers.

This week the challenge was to make a card with an Angel on it.

I have one Angel stamp in my craft room...do you think I could find it?  No,
and I only spent several days...or I guess I should say MANY days recently in my craft room cleaning and organizing the room....and I STILL can't find anything!
I finally found this Angel image that my hubby had colored for me with copics a long time ago,
The stamp is a borrowed stamp so I don't the name of the image.

I have not managed to finish up my Christmas cards, or get them in the mail yet...but I did get some beautiful cards in my mailbox.  I have a couple of them below.  I received a couple more that I will post later.  I didn't find the time to take a pic of them yet.

I also have NOT put my tree up  yet, or done ANY Christmas shopping yet.  Now doesn't that make YOU feel better?   ( Not me though...smile)

I received this adorable card with the neat inlay (something I have yet to try) so Darnell you have so inspired me.  Darnell's wonderful, creative blog can be found here...

Thank You, Darnell for thinking of me...You are such a Blessing!

This pretty Christmas card was mailed to me from Leanne...here is her blog address...

Leanne's cards are just stunning...and really do bring "sunshine" And You will really feel blessed
vising her blog, and seeing her outstanding work.
Thank you, Leanne.

The above cute card was sent to me by Sue...Sue doesn't have a blog but she has a gallery at
Split coast stampers...with lots or creative cards...

Thank you Sue, for sending this adorable card.

Hope everyone is having a good week,
I miss visiting blogs, I'm trying to get back into blogging and visiting...eventually I hope to catch up...well, sort of catch up, anyway.  smile.

bring you peace,

the gladness of Christmas
give you hope,

The warmth of Christmas

Some flower soft cards...

I have a dear friend who has a birthday coming up soon.  Every time I make her a card it has to have a butterfly on it somewhere and I try to use a technique  for her card that I have not done for her before.  I have made her rubber stamped cards, tea bag folded cards, Iris folding cards,  cards using a stencil, etc.  In trying to think of something different ...I realized that I had not made a card for her using flower soft.  Since it's been a while since I tried using flower soft...I feel like it was a brand new technique for me.  I need to make more so I have more practice...especially since a neighbor asked me to help her make some cards and she wanted to learn how to use flower soft.  I purchased most of my supplies...card toppers, etc...at Our daily Bread Designs...

My House Mouse card was a Christmas card I received from Carol,  an On line friend from Split Coast Stampers...Carol has a blog...

Thank you, Carol, for your cute card!  I'm a big fan of House Mouse images...

I noticed that some of my blogging friends give their new followers a shout out...and I would like to do that for three of my newest followers...

First    there's Angela... Her blog with her beautiful cards can be found here...

I first Noticed Angela's cards at Split Coast Stampers...She makes very elegant cards...

Second  There's Teresa...  Teresa's blog can be found here...
http://craftingalldayscards.blogspot.co.uk/

Teresa makes so many beautiful cards and Journal pages on her blog...
I especially like her criss-cross cards...they are on my to do list for 2014...I want to learn how to do that card technique....You will be in for a treat...

Third is Jim.  Jim's blog can be found here  (Jim is brand new to blogging)

Some of the things that Jim posts on his blog may look familiar to you...
because they are cards that were originally posted on my blog...(some from a long time ago.)
But I only made the card...Jim  (who is also Known as my hubby...smile)
is the one who colored my images.

If you don't guess this by looking at his blog...Jim is addicted to using copics...
and I have to admit he is very creative...

My husband not only colors very well, in the past he has done, cross stitch, needlepoint,
crewel, sewed his own suit...and took half the roof off of our house and added a dormer...
Just to name a few things...

I now think he is also addicted to blogging...so you may see lots of posts there on his blog...

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Blessings,
Jill

I had a very nice Christmas...

Card that My friend, Kathi, made me for Christmas...Wow!  Lots of detail here, and the inside of the
card has almost as much detail.  Lots of time spent on this.  Beautiful copic coloring, and design.
Kathi's blog with more of her creative work can be found here.
http://katscreativebliss.blogspot.com/

Above is just one of the gifts that Kathi gave me for Christmas
Here is 11 more.
Kathi made for Cheri and myself (We three get together every week and craft together)

Packages for the 12 days of Crafting.

Each package came with a letter with instructions
and in each package crafting supplies that we can use for that days project or projects...

Okay, Kathi, if you are reading this, I did cheat!  I wasn't supposed to open my first envelope till
tomorrow morning, but I couldn't wait, and opened one tonight.
You should see all the work she put into this project, it is a crafter's dream present.!

Each letter gives us instructions and links to web sites and utube tutorials, etc.  To find more help
with that day's project.  Then a package with things from her stash to help us with the projects.
A little bit like a scavenger hunt.  It looks like a lot of work, but so much fun too,

I will update on this project, as I go along.

***************
I had a wonderful Christmas, no complaints at all, Being with my family was very special.
I had a few moments where I felt a little like something was missing because I spent so little this year, did very little Christmas shopping, etc.  I felt like I didn't give enough.    But it's necessary for
me to keep my expenses down, and I think everyone did like what I gave for gifts.   I do realize
that the most important thing about Christmas  IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON...Our Savior's birth, and I felt it this year.  Felt it in the love of family and friends.  I am so blessed.

Hope all of my on line friends and everyone reading this, Had a very special Christmas too.

The card I shared above it just one of many beautiful cards I received in the last few weeks.  Will share more of the wonderful cards I received later.

Thank you to all of you who visit my blog, and leave me such nice comments.  Your thoughts and prayers have meant so much to me these past four years.  I never thought that I would ever even have a blog...Or that anyone would even visit.

Many Blessings to you,
Jill
