Snowing again...

It's another snowy day where I live...so it's another great day to stay home and make cards.

My sister-in-law always asks me to make cards for her birthday (for her to send)
So I'm trying to make some stash cards right now...so I have something to send when it's her birthday.
(and to build up my stash which is very low right now)
These two cards were made using paper from one of my purchased craft magazines.  I'm not sure which one...because I removed the paper before I gave the magazine away.

Yes, Another one!!!

Another Twist and Pop card...This one really gave me a hard time.  Yes, I'm blaming it on the card!  The card made me accidentally paste the front cover of this card to the back of card...which also made my bicycles be upside when I opened the inside.  It was a real challenge to fix it...LOL
I liked that bicycle paper and I couldn't figure out how else to use it but with this card fold.
I also liked that little bicycle stamp that I stamped on the front of the card, and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I also added a ribbon, button brads, My front cover sentiment is from SweetNSassy, my little bicycle stamp was purchased at Paper Wishes...my banners were die cut from a die from Our Daily bread Designs.  My stickers inside the card were some from my stash.

Butterfly Birthday card

A few week's ago...I made a butterfly birthday card for a friend.  We always (for many years) have exchanged butterfly cards to each other.  I was happy with myself (for a change...smile)...  Because I finally got a birthday card done and mailed in time!!!   However, she never received it!  So I made another one.  Hope this one makes it to her mailbox.

Comfort Card

I made this card using a stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs.  It's meant to be a stamp mainly for a graduation card (and, in fact, I did make a graduation card using this stamp).  I also thought it would a good image to use for a Sympathy/and or Comfort card too.  Fortunately, I don't need to use one, at the moment, but I do like to keep some of these cards on hand.

Twist and Pop card (Number 3)

As I said before, I am addicted to making these cards...smile...
The front of the card was made stamping a sentiment from Stampendous,
Using a Spellbinder die to make a frame for the sentiment (Fleur De Lis Squares)
Punching a lace border using a Martha Stewart Border Punch,
and to embellish my inside squares I hand cut out Cherries from my Designer Paper from American Crafts.

Twofer Card Challenge #1

I finally made some cards to post in Darnell's first Twofer Card Challenge...
This was a challenge for me, I don't duplicate cards too often (even at Christmas)
I really like the idea though, it makes me think outside the box, and gives me the opportunity to think of more ways I can use the same die or stamp and I'm so happy Darnell came up with this idea.

Thank you again, Darnell for this challenge...which can be found here at this link...

Speaking of feathers, I was thrilled to see that the above card made the "Favorites" thread at
Split Coast Stampers...

One of the things mentioned about this card was how much they liked my background paper
and how I used the twine to embellish my card.

The paper is a digi...I found it at one of my card magazines...(don't remember which one)
I liked it so much and I knew it would be a great background for my feathers.
However, my printer was giving me fits and kept printing lines across my paper where I
did not want them.  After several tries using the printer cleaner function.  I gave up at the time
and just used the paper anyway and tried to think of a way I could hide the lines that
I did not want to show...and the twine was my solution.

I'm only mentioning this because it made me think of Darnell's April fool challenge she had
where you were to show the cards that were made from boo boo's...well here is another one..
smile.

PS.  I almost forgot to mention my bird cards were made using a stamp from Our Daily Bread
designs.  The sentiment stamp was from SweetnSassy, my Designer papers were from Stampin' up,
and Graphic 45

Birthday Twist and Pop card

As I said in my last post...I am addicted to making these cards.  I'm finding them fun to make.
I used designer paper that I purchased through Paperwishes to cover my card.  I printed out one of their free sheets that they offer on line...to embellish the inside of my card.  The embellishments on the front of my card are from Kaisercraft.  I used a stamp made by Stampendous to stamp my Sentiment...(Birthday Wish)

I posted a link on my previous post where you can find a link I used for the Twist and fold card.

Twisted Pop Up Card

I have been seeing this card fold all over Pinterest for a while now.  So you know I had to try one of these card folds.  I will be honest with you and tell you that It took me a while to figure out out to do one.  It took watching a U Tube video and looking at a tutorial at Split Coast stampers till I finally figured it out.  Now I am addicted to these cards.  I have some more of these cards completed just haven't photographed them yet.

Here's the one tutorial that helped me  (along with a Utube video that I watched.

Merry Monday Glasses

I made this card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge.  This week's challenge is "glasses"

You can find the link to the challenge here...
http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2018/01/merry-monday-272-glasses.html

I just managed to finish this card and hopefully I am in time to post it.  (Nothing like the last
minute...smile)  Anyone who does Iris folding cards knows it is a bit easier than it looks to make
but...It is TIME Consuming.  The gold in the photo does not show up very well...but I didn't have the time to keep trying to photograph.  After several attempts I gave Up...and My photography skill is not  that great to begin with...smile!  My pattern for the wine glass came from a book that I purchased.  "460 Iris folded Cards to Make"..by Maruscha Gaasenbeek and Tine Beauveser.  The book was purchased years ago, and I forgot to check to see if it is still available.  The sentiment is a
tag from Kaisercraft.

Red Butterfly Card

I guess I'm really into butterfly cards these days...smile.  The rubber stamped butterfly image was colored by my hubby with copics, a long time ago.  Another image I finally managed to make a card using more of his colored images.  I die cut the circle with a die from Spellbinders  (Lacey Circles)  I purchased the lace at Hobby Lobby.and added ribbon and brads.

Butterfly Birthday Card

I made this card for a friend's birthday.  For more years than I can remember we have always exchanged birthday cards that have butterflies on them.  (For a meaning that's special to us)

The card was made using a rubber stamp by Anna Griffin, and for the background I heat embossed with silver embossing powder a stamp by SweetNSassy.

I don't make New Year's resolutions any more.  (Because I never keep them)

However, I did make a couple of goals.  One of them is to try and get birthday cards made and out on time!  Last year I did NOT do so well with that.   I know the year is just beginning, but at least it's a start that I not only managed to get a card done in time, I also managed to get it mailed out in time.
(Maybe there's hope for me yet!  Smile)

So cold outside

It is still so cold outside...so I'm just staying in and doing some crafting and sitting some extra time at my computer.  It's supposed to warmer this coming weekend.  I sure hope so.

Here's another Christmas card that I made and never managed to post...The materials and ideas for this card came from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.
