If you didn't get to see my two former posts... I explained that I was having trouble sitting down and making a card. You would think I never made a greeting card before....(In reality it probably over 2000 cards, )
So I started looking back at some of my cards that I had through the years hoping it would inspire me to get to card making again...It has worked I started making some new cards but they are ready for me to post yet. I started posting on my blog in 2009, and posted a card from that year. Yesterday I posted a card I made in 2010. Then I went back through 2011. I could NOT decide on one very favorite card for 2011...so this post will contain Many cards that I posted back in 2011..
If I Remember correctly this is call the bargello technique, I recently tried making a card with this same technique and it failed. I guess for the new year I need to try again.
This card was made using shrink art for the Cherries for this card. When I made this card I did not have a circle die
This card I made for Tea Pot Tuesday at Split coast...Using the Iris Folding technique... (My very favorite technique)

I love the cards you shared from 2011. They all show the result of using special techniques. So inspiring! Love the dress you made for your sweet little granddaughter, too. I use to sew a lot for my kids, when they were small and for my grandkids, also when they were small. Now, they all want name brands instead of homesewn.
ReplyDeleteReally great cards from 2011. I should revisit my cards from when I first started posting cards. Some days I get a block for creating too and maybe revisiting some of my favorites will get me crafting again. Cute picture of your granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteHi Jill
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of creations!
I love looking back over my old work .. it always brings back memories of what was happening at the time .. .. and I am enjoying looking at yours too.
I am so pleased it has inspired you to get creating again.
The dress you made for your grand-daughter is gorgeous .. .. those pin tucks look amazing. She had perhaps just been told that it was nearly time to go home :-(
Hope you are having a good weekend.
Love Jules xx
Yep, I loved making those borgello cards too, they were fun to create. Love the cherries and and iris-folded teapot, but that dress is just amazing!
