My weekend Part 2
I was trying to work on a card...but it totally flopped for me, so on to plan B...and try something else...
In the meantime I'm going to post some more of the pics from my great weekend..
I had posted a pic of the tea room in my last post...It was the side view of the tea room ...this is a front view...I had more pics of the inside that I thought I down loaded into my album but I couldn't find them when I went to do this post...so there Might be a Part 3...smile...
This was another stop on our great weekend. I had never been to this craft shop before, so it was a real treat for me...Yes that's me standing on the porch. I am pointing to the sign which reads National Scrap booking Day. We picked a perfect time to go. This is one shop that I definitely would like to go back to visit again. I guess it's a good thing that it's pretty far from my home. I could really go for broke at this shop.
I hadn't even realized that my craft buddy Cherie took this picture. I had to get a better look at all the neat things in the display case. Lots of made up crafts for gift ideas. I was so fascinated.
This is one of the things that I was looking at in the case. A really neat gift idea that I would like to try. I this gift carrier for greeting cards.
This craft shop also carries a lot of fabric, and there are samples all over the shop of how you can use the fabric on a card. Really makes pretty cards. In fact that's what I decided to try to do next...Hopefully, this card will go better for me...
As you can see my friends, gave me a very special day...I am so blessed!
Friends...They cherish one another's hopes. They are kind to one another's dreams.

Looks like fun! What's the name of the new store you discovered?

What a fun trip - a tea room and a scrapbooking/fabric store with lots of fun ideas. Wow! You did have fun. Love the pictures! I went to Chattanooga this past weekend and stayed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel and out of the 5 stores they had at the hotel was a scrapbooking/rubber stamp store - I was shocked and I loved the store too. Fun stuff - makes a trip even better. Hugz!

ReplyDeleteJill I've been scrolling through your blog...loving everything I'm seeing...and now I come to Abigail's
ReplyDeleteTea Room.3 of my gal pals and I went to Abigail's for my birthday back in March. They have a fine gift shop as well. Where was the other shop?
I LOVE tea rooms too! Have one south of me that I like to visit. See, here's your first quote above for a positivity journal. My therapist said there were a lot of nice quotes and sayings at Pinterest that I could use, but some of my friends was curious to know what I selected for my pages, since some know my recent history. smile! So I decided to share on my gratitude blog. Thank you for visiting two of my four blogs.
ReplyDeleteRight now, I'm reviewing my doodle class from Stephanie Ackerman, and will be taking that Joanne Sharp class mentioned on my craft blog as I have a copy of her book and have started another new journal, so I'll be doing two at the same time -- I'll be doodling my way through the Bible. Last night my first verse was out of Genesis. You can find examples of my doodles on my craft blog and gratitude blog and at Pinterest. It's my craft therapy. Stephanie is offering her online doodle class again if you are interested. Have a great weekend and blessings!
