I made this card for my granddaughter's birthday, I didn't give it to her yet, her birthday isn't till next week...but I feel safe posting it, because she doesn't look at my blog. Probably too boring for a teenager...smile.The card was made by rubber stamping an image by Julie Nutting, I like these prima doll stamps. I just had to buy one at the stamp show that I attended in March. It's a big stamp and most people use them for tags. I thought it would make a great card for a teenage girl. Hubby colored the image for me with copics, and I paper pieced the dress using designer paper from Stampin' Up and the background paper is from Darice. I added a bow, a stick on bead, and a flower for her hair. The sentiment on the front is computer generated, and the sentiment inside was stamped using one of my favorite stamp sets by JustRite stamps..."Just the Right Words."
"A birthday is a day that should begin with kind wishes, be filled with surprises and end with happy memories."
Thank you for visiting my blog today,
Blessings,
Jill

Jill, this card is sure to be a winner with your granddaughter. It just looks like a young person's card. And, such a wonderful sentiment, too.
ReplyDeleteI have one of those tags and images and never used it. My sis gave it to me to make for someone. Maybe someday I'll get to it. :-)
I love your card and all those Julie Nutting dolls are just adorable

Hey Jill, You've changed your blog design I think, since my last visit! Wow! very nice. Like it lots. I love these doll images...not sure why I've not succumbed to buying any, as I loved paper dolls as a kid. This made me remember all the fun I had drawing clothes & coloring long ago. Of course the coloring is perfection, and I bet the paper piecing was lots of fun too. The card is just perfect for a teenage girl, and she will love that her Grandma made it just for her. Really special, and she will feel just as special when she opens it. Off to enjoy some of your earlier posts. Happy wkend, and Hugs.
