I made this card as a Mother's Day card for a friend. It's another card that I made using a Fabric image, added Lace, Stampin' Up ribbon, and some dimensionals.
I'm not real happy with the way this card turned out...but after many tries of doing this card...This is as good as it gets. I just hope the person that I am sending this card to...does like it...and Yes, It's very late... But at least it's still MAY...smile...
My little girl on the card is stamped using a Holly Hobbie stamp...(A freebie stamp from a magazine) It was colored with copics by my hubby. Added a die cut fence...(Impression Obsession) I believe my Designer paper is from Stampin' UP, and the flowers stickers from K&C Company.

Jill, I don't think you're ribbon challenged at all! You may have to change the name of your blog! What a beautiful iris and the lace and ribbon dress it up beautifully! And I LOVE the maypole! How clever!
ReplyDeleteTwo very pretty cards, Jill.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful. Of course I am prejudiced but, hey, I get to see them in person and they really are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI really like what you are doing with your fabric finds, so fun and different! Love the sweet Maypole card, I think it turned out beautiful!
ReplyDeleteyet again you are being too hard on yourself Jill - just because the maypole did not turn out how you first thought it ought to, it is still very pretty and very effective.
ReplyDeleteLove the iris card too - the colours are so vibrant on it and the lace will sell it to me any time.
Blessings
Maxine
I think both cards are beautiful!! Blessings!!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are gorgeous..
ReplyDeleteBoth are simply beautiful! Love the second one and I'd be very happy with it! Looks just like a fun May pole
ReplyDeleteLynn
Very pretty! I especially love the lace on the first card! Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteOh, Jill, these are both beautiful! I agree - you are NOT ribbon challenged! LOL! Hugs, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteI think your cards are beautiful Jill, I love the Maypole, reminds me so much of my school days too. We always had a country Dance group that went to a local Summer fair each year and I love the Maypole dance :o))
ReplyDeleteHope you had a Lovely Mums day xx
Hugs Mau xx
Love them both Jill. The fabric card is gorgeous! Did you use a backing to make it stiff? Love the ribbon card with the holly h. Image. It's adorable and will be very much loved...happy Mother's Day Jill.
ReplyDeleteJill your mother's Day card is gorgeous! Your second card is as well and it reminds me so much of MAY DAY when I was growing uo and wrapping the May Pole!
ReplyDeletePretty cards Jill. Love the flower card for your friend and the May Day card is very fun. Great creations by you and your DH! Hugz and Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteHi everyone, thank you so much for the nice comments...
ReplyDeleteand Marybeth to answer your question...Yes, I used sticky paper...it doesn't really make it stiff so much as it will stop the fabric from fraying.
It's Sunday night, but I hope it's not too late to wish you a Happy Mother's Day, Jill! Both your cards are superb! I love the sweet May pole card, colored by Jim! How many times have I said that you need to change the name of your blog because you aren't ribbon challenged?! So true! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteBeautiful designs and the ribbon on both of them are lovely touches.
