I made this card for a long time dear friend. I hope to be able to give it to her next week. She doesn't look at my blog, so I feel safe posting it here.
I took the right hand corner flower off the card after I photographed the card. I think it made the card too busy, and I like the card better.
My other problem is that the numbers on this card look brown, but they are really gold. I may have asked this before, and I think someone gave me a hint... but I forgot what it was...
Any hints on how to photograph Gold on a card!
My card was made using another embossing folder for the background. I have lots of embossing folders but they were just sitting in my craft room gathering dust till I found some YouTube sites showing some different ways to use them.
Hope everyone is having a good day. ( I can't believe it's Friday already).
Hope everyone has a good weekend and thank you for visiting me today.
Blessings,
Jill

Your card is lovely! I have trouble photographing gold (and silver), too. I usually try to take a photo that is angled from the side in hopes that it will show the true color. Sometimes that seems to work and sometimes it doesn't!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty golden anniversary card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful embossed frame for the numbers, I love the way you colored it, gives it an antique feel, I love both flowers on the card. I have the same trouble with taking pictures of my cards, that is usually why I also take a picture from the side view because it helps to show any dimension there may be and to me the colors 90% of the time are truer than the pictures I take head on.
ReplyDeleteHi Jill
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card for your friend.
It is beautiful and I am sure she will love it! I hope you get chance to meet up with her and she has a lovely time celebrating her special anniversary.
I do as your other commenters have suggested here, and take pictures from the side where I can .. .. but it doesn't always help of course. LOL!!
Love Jules xx
Beautiful xoxo
