This has been a sad week for me....First, I lost my Aunt on the 15th this week, She moved to Texas, a long distance from me and I only got to see her twice in the last 10 years. I have so many fun memories of her especially of us making cards together when she stayed at my house for about a week maybe 5 years ago. She was such a fun person to be around. I feel sad when I realize that I won't see her again.
And today brought tears when My daughter called me to tell me that had to put Trixie down.
Trixie would have been 14 years old in Januray. She had cancer, was almost blind, and had mnay seizures this week. It ws obvious to my daughter that she was in much discomfort this morning they had no choice but take to the vets office for her last visit.
Trixie was like my daughter's third child. I know this will be hard for her. I know I will miss her when I am finally able to go to our daughter's home to visit after this pandemic is over. I'll miss Trixies happy bark when she would see us. RIP Both my wonderful Aunt and my grandpuppy Trixie
Blessings,
Jill

A very sad time indeed for you Jill, so sorry to hear of your loss, these sad occasions are made even worse because of this pandemic. I hope your memories sustain you through this difficult time, Kate x x
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Jill. I still miss my little guy almost every day and it's been a few years now. Sending you strength and a hug, even if the governor says we are not allowed to do that.
ReplyDeleteJill, I'm so sorry to read this about your aunt and grandpuppy. Very sad and I'm sending you hugs. Hang on to all those wonderful memories of them.

Oh no, I am sorry to read this sad news. It's so hard to lose someone at any time but seems even more so around the holidays, especially this year when people can't get together for support and comfort. Please accept my sympathies, and to your daughter as well. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteI'm heartbroken for your daughter losing her dog and for you losing your aunt. This is supposed to be a happy time of the year, but there's so much sadness for so many. My husband said good-bye to his baby sister yesterday as she's now on hospice and not expected to make it through today. Sending hugs for better days ahead.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear your sad news. I hope happy memories will bring you comfort xxx

So sorry, Jill xoxo
ReplyDeleteI guess I should have checked my other mail before I sent you an email, so sorry to hear that Trixie didn't make it and they had to put her down. It is so hard to make the decision but when you know they aren't hurting anymore that helps ease the pain just a bit. Trixie was quite the cutie, looks a lot like my dog Peanut we had to put down a few years ago. Maybe by the next time you go to visit they will have added another furbaby to the family :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss. osing a pet is so heartbreaking.
