This is NOT a new card that I just made. I actually made this card 3 years ago and posted it on my blog then, but never sent it out. Today I received 8 Christmas cards in the mail, and two of them were from Family members that I had forgotten to send a card to. I looked for this card design, so I could maybe case my own card to make a Christmas/New Year card for them.
I don't think I will be posting till after New Year's eve. So I thought I would add this card now.
The card is obviously Iris folding, My Sentiment and Stickers were from Kaisercraft. I added some peel offs to the wine glass.
My Iris folding pattern for the wine glass came from a book I purchased "460 Iris Folded Cards to make" By Maruscha Gaasenbeek and Tine Beauveser.
Hoping that 2021 will be a much better year...Take care, and keep safe...Blessings, Jill

Really pretty you are really good at using the Iris folding technique.

Thank you, Diane, for the nice compliment on my blog about my Iris Folding. It's still one of my favorite ways to make a card!
ReplyDeleteHi Jill this is a gorgeous New Year card. I am sure your relatives will love to have a card like this. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteAs always, you are the master with iris folding on your cards! I too received 3 Christmas cards yesterday - better late than never. I hope your Christmas was peaceful and I wish you nothing but good things in the coming year as well!
ReplyDeleteYou have such pretty papers you use for your Iris folding. Wow you have a lot of cards you could make with the ideas from that book.
ReplyDeleteThis will be great for those cards you need, I need to do at least one more.
I love the folding pattern on this. It is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Jill. And yep, iris folding is another technique on my must revisit list for 2021 as it's a great way to use up all the paper offcuts xoxo
ReplyDeleteJill this is sensational! You should enter this to the SCS card challenge for a new MiSTI! I"ll try to send you the link - it's a stunner! I think it has to be uploaded by today or tomorrow and use the keyword MSP40

A beautiful card and perfect for a Happy New Year card.
ReplyDeleteVery cool card, Jill. I love these complicated folds like this. Gorgeous card and glad you still had it! I had good intentions on the Christmas cards but never got but a few out. I feel horrible, but things just didn't happen as planned.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful 2021 - thanks for all your kind words and loving support this year and always.
Many hugz to you and your sweet husband!
A super card Jill, fabulous iris folding - it is the first time I have seen it.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy New Year.

ReplyDeleteHi Jill
ReplyDeleteA really great cared .. .. it reminded me of our eldest Son and his wife's wedding invitations. They had an iris folded heart. Not made by me though, I wasn't into cardmaking in those days, but did make their thank you cards and that was where my cardmaking journey started. They have a lot to answer for LOL!!!
So pleased to hear that your roof is now mended. You don't want to be rained on whilst crafting.
Love Jules xx
I have never done an iris fold design!! I love this one in your wine glass! Beautiful work, Jill!
