When I woke up this morning, I said to myself. "Jill", Your are NOT going to make any cards today!
You have company coming this evening ( My crafting buddies) You have company coming this weekend. So you need to clean!
(By the way, I talk to myself a lot) (I was raised as an only child so who else did I have to talk to? ) I read somewhere that children who are raised as an only child DO talk more to themselves. I do have several step-brothers step-sister, half sisters, half brother...but NOT raised with any of them...and of course, that's another story. My hubby always tells me I should write a book on that...because sometimes it takes that long to explain my family background...enough of that...I'm rambling again, sorry.
I then went on Darnell's blog which can be found here...
Where I read about the Autism Awareness Blog hop... (So much for cleaning!)
Here is the link where you can read about the blog hop and all that is involved...
There is some wonderful sponsors for this blog hop. But I, honestly, would have joined even without knowing that there were prizes. I wanted to be part of this...The blog hop is for a wonderful cause.

ReplyDeleteTwo sweet cards :)) Thank you for participating ♥
ReplyDeleteJill, both your cards are fabulous; perfect images for this oh-so-special hop! Funny you mention that you talk to yourself, as a result of being an only child. My sister-in-law does as well. Even though I'm the oldest of three, I sometimes self-talk to convince myself to get chores done...and I often don't listen, based on the size of the dust bunnies!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
I like your country kids. They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. Love the images.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute kids you used.
ReplyDeleteAdorable cards!!! So glad you threw caution to the wind and made these sweet cards to share with us!!!

lol Jill! Your post just made me giggle - my best-laid plans are often waylaid by "oh wait, I'm just going to make this first". And my family tree offers the same confusion :) Thanks so much for joining in this blog hop that is making my heart sing :)
ReplyDeleteLove your cards - there's something so tender about them, truly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm the younger kid of 2, but I was always wired a little bit different, so I, too, talk to myself.. And then my son answers :P
These are wonderful Jill! I love seeing an older stamp being used. I was raised with nine siblings .and now that all my kids are gone I find I talk to mysel a bit...it's bad when I'm in the store😁maybe I have enough blue on my card for AA
ReplyDeleteOh cheers to this Jull! I wish I had known about the hop - my 18 y/o niece is a high functioning Asbergers child and the light of our lives. Both of your cards are super cute and help to share a beautiful message - thank you for that!
ReplyDeleteThese cards are darling & so perfect for the Blog Hop! Glad someone else talks themselves out of cleaning & spends the time stamping--LOL!
