This card is for the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room...which can be found here...
We were to use the photo of the bracelet for our inspiration and add metal to our card.
My card, has a lace' center...(made using a template and exacto knife) peel off corners
and stickers to make a frame, a plaid bow, and a metal stick on in the center of the card which
reads "faith"
I love the card and your interpretation of the inspiration piece!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty ... thanks for sharing this sweet creation with us in the Tea Room :)
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly! That's one awesome card Jill! I'm still trying to figure out how you created this beauty!
ReplyDeleteYou know how much I love this technique, and this is really a beauty! I love all the intricate cutting and folding, but the edges look great with the silver, and the center looks wonderful with that metal tag! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cutwork Jill and fabulous papers!
ReplyDeleteHugs,Connie
Thank you everyone for the nice comments.
ReplyDeleteHeidi, I used a Lace' template that I purchased here...

I used template 2028. There are other sites that sell them too. You have to use an exacto knife...which I still need practice with using...my cuts aren't as sharp as I would like, and maybe I needed a new blade too, didn't think of that till now. It does take a bit of time to do, but I like the look when I'm done.
Now this card was made with TLC! It is so visual and pretty! Kudos!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting my blog! I'm happy that you shared your thoughts about Reading! I've noticed Barry becoming more sentimental as the years go by. He has told me that his growing up there is filled with fond memories. He can't complain.
I would really like to go back in the near future!
Smiles, KJ
