The "try a new technique" post at Spring Coast stampers this week was to make a flower pot card. My card didn't exactly follow the rules, so I didn't upload it to the challenge...but the challenge gave me the inspiration to make this card.
After making so many Christmas cards it was a nice break to make something other than a Christmas card.
I used my spellbinder flower pot die and dry embossed my flower pot with an embossing folder by Darice. My flowers were die cut with a die from Stampin' Up called Pierced Blooms added some gems for the flower centers and sticker butterfly.
Thank you for visiting my blog today...
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Blessings, Jill

I love your wonderful flowerpot. Great colors on the papers you used for the flowers and super texture on the pot. I love when I am inspired by a challenge and sometimes even if I am not 100% following the challenge "rules" I still upload it to say that the challenge inspired my card in a different way.
ReplyDeleteyour flowers are lovely, neat embossing you did on the pot and I like the little butterfly in there too!
ReplyDeleteWonderful textures on your beautiful die cut pot and flowers, Jill! I, too, am anxious to get started on something besides Christmas. But I do plan to get going on Christmas cards soon so I won't have another nightmare November like the last one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet visits and comments on my blog. I have very little time at my computer these days, and it always gives me a lift when I see your kind words.

Pretty card Jill, who wouldn't love getting a pot full of flowers?! Love how you embossed your flower pot, such a great idea. All the flowers are so pretty as are the leaves. A nice full flower pot! Hugs and Blessings, Brenda
ReplyDeleteBeautifukl collection of flowers. I have been collecting so many dies and I never use them. I finally figured it's time to start.
