My dear crafting friend, Kathi, came to our house to visit us. This time she came along with her hubby. (He had never been to our house before). It's still hard for me to believe that she was at our house for about 4 hours and we never did any crafting. Smile. (But we did do some show and tell.
Kathi is cleaning out her craft room, and she brought a bunch of crafting supplies to my house. (It felt like Christmas again) (It's what I always ask for at Christmas...crafting supplies.) I know that I have plenty of stuff...but us crafters know that New stuff..(new stuff to us anyway) Always inspires me.
Some of what she gifted me with was some Martha Stewart punches.
I needed to make her a birthday card and I was stuck for an idea till I decided to try making a card with some of the punches she gave to me. She also gave me the dragonfly rubber stamp that I used on the card. This is one of the things that I love about making greeting cards...that you can personalize them. She seemed to think it was a great idea. I hope she liked it anyway.
Thank you for visiting my blog today..
Blessings,
Jill

I love the dragonfly. I'm searching through my stamps right now to see if I have one. Very pretty card.

What a pretty card Jill, and a great idea to use your 'new' stash to make it. Those punches make an elegant series of borders, and the dragon fly is a lovely stamp

I love so many Martha Stewart punches. That top lace one is the most used punch in my collection. I used it so much I broke it making 350 cards with layered lace for my son's band 3 years ago. I ended up getting a new one because I still use the punch. I agree new to us crafting supplies is always a fun treat and I am sure your friend visiting was a great time by all.
ReplyDeletethat was so sweet of her to gift you with those punches and stamp, great idea using them and like the distressed look of the dragonfly!
ReplyDeleteThose MS punches just never go out of style! Very pretty card!
