This is a card I made a while ago, and I'm pretty sure I never posted it... because I hadn't finished it. I like the look of square cards but I don't send them too often because of the extra postage and I'm never sure if I put the right postage on them.
Since I needed a card for tomorrow that I could hand deliver... It seemed like the perfect card to finish.
The flowers were stamps that came with a magazine. I also fussy cut some of the flowers to decorate my card.
Thanks for visiting my blog today,
Blessings,
Jill

It's beautiful, Jill xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love square cards too Jill, but don't make them often because I don't want to pay the extra postage either. I think postage is high enough for regular size. But I will do a hand delivered card square at times. Love yours! It's so sweet looking with the lace looking border around the flower. The flowers are so pretty as well and I love that you fussy cut a few out and placed them around. A very sweet and pretty birthday card! Hugs & Blessings, Brenda
ReplyDeleteHi Jill this is a gorgeous card. I love it. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card Jill, lovely blooms and colours, super design too, Kate x
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about square cards which is why I seldom make them, but this is very pretty with the lacy frame and flowers. I hope you're getting outdoors to enjoy this pretty weather!
ReplyDeleteOh that is just lovely, such pretty framing of your lovely flowers and I like how you fussy cut more to put on the framing
ReplyDeleteI like square cards too, and I wonder why they cost more to post. It's so lovely with the gentle background layered with bright flowers. I am sure the recipient loved it!!

Wonderful birthday card. I like that you stamped some extra flowers and fussy cut them to create your own embellishments. I will have to remember that tip. I agree it is funny that a square card costs extra postage. If I do them, I buy a rectangle envelope that fits the square card and send it that way. Yep it works and no extra postage. LOL!
